  1. Ever since the Top Ten on Isratrance has been closed, something has been missing from my life. So I decided to post my Top Ten here. As you will see a lot of these tracks are quite old, these tracks represent what Im currently listening to, and, unfortunately I have only 1 unrlsd. killlaaargghhh to call my own. If you want feel free to add your own Top Ten, I love charts and Top Tens, I think they are very inspirational, Im interested what you guys are into. 1. The MfA - The Difference it makes (Superpitcher Remix)- Kompakt Pop Soooo smoooth, probably the coolest dubby reverb sound ever, and there have been many dubby reverbs. Also very smoooth basSline. Perfect Track! 2. Britney Spears - Breathe on Me (James Holden Vocal Mix)- unrlsd. killaaarghhhh A i have a mentioned in another thread, a "real" remix, very ethereal and trippy. 3. Jaia - Orchestra 2.0 - Minilogue Remix - Digital StructuresProbably one of the best tracks SonMiniCooler have produced so far. PHAAAT bassline, along with the operatic singing and sounds from the original. I cant stop listening to it. 4. Matthew Jonson- Decompression - Minus Records I guess this is already a classic, very very evil in a minimal way, i always imagine a rapist roaming the streets looking for fresh virgins. 5. Superpitcher - Happiness - Kompakt Some may call it cheesy, and it is very cheesy, but I like it. Techno cant get any more melancholic than this. "Ohhhh happiness, I seek happinesss, yeah happiness" great lyrics, dont you think? 6. Dominik Eulberg - Die Invasion der Taschenkrebse - Traum Schallplatten The b est track of Eulbergs recent great album "Flora&Fauna". I love the way he arranges his sounds and creates atmospheres. Perfect Weed Music. 7. D-Sense - Groovy Back - VP Records I loved every track these guys did so far, so subtle. Its like Frogacult, but better, because its deeper. Probably as deep as you can get with Prog. Psy. 8. Grungermann - Fackeln im Sturm 2 - Kreisel Heard this track in a lounge bar and asked the dj what it was. Hard to find, so I Downloaded it. Its like german singing in the background, subtle kick, all in all a very gloomy track, yet touching at the same time. 9. Shmuel Flash - Chilling Moments - Bedrock Every Top Ten needs a "hands in the air" song, this is it. Very touching, simple melody, and a chick wailing like theres no tomorrow. I listen to this track a lot when Im not feeling good, always makes me happy 10. Swayzak - State of Grace - Headgear remix Could be described as "stoned electro" very trippy stuff. I love the way the vocals are incorporated and thehissing sound. Bonus: Atmos - Rebirth of Cavanough - Eve Records (pitched at -8) The B-Side from Atmos very first release on the hardtrance label Eve from 96. It already has all the elements we have come to love from Atmos, tripped out voices (neil armstrong landing on the moon), long delays, great sense for soundscapes and cool violin melody. One of tracks I have listened to the most in my life.
  2. thats it , exactly. That "Now I have a plane to catch" track rocks as well, as far as i can remember. im gonna go hunting for it this evening. and rain, yes it was a very progressive remix, more prog.house than prog. trance, d-nox played it all the time
  3. theres actually alot better remix out there for money for nothing, not by 1200 mics. It was played at festivals like crazy in 2003, and I put in a lot of effort to find it, but apparently it was some white label Vynil only bootleg, and I couldnt ind it online either. It kicks acid for nothings ( which is a completey atrocity imHO) ass by a million times.
  4. hell yeah!!!! I remember that one, I have it on vynil, glad you made me remember, gonna listen to it at home!! A whole lot better than Mobys shitty James Bond mix.
  5. After all this talk about shitty remixes, I wanna give honourable mention to quite possibly the best remix of non electronic music around. Im talking about the James Holden remix of Britney Spears "Breathe on Me". Thats how a remix should be done, not just a bassline and kick underneath the song, but a complete restructuring thats incorporating the key elements of the original song and showing them in a whole new light. In this case the result is an ethereal "otherworldy" track that makes Britney seem like an alien from outer space whose voice glimmers through the fabric of constantly changing and evolving soundscapes. The track is not released, but you can download it in all the well known places. You should really check it out, its quite something. Other remixes I consider good, are Haldliums Pink Floyd Remix, and when I heard Haldolium play live thE last time they played a remix of BlaCK eYED pEAS that was really dark, twisted and awesome.
  6. I've had the great misfortune of being subjected to that Trical Dance Remix at a recent party, what a fucking ATROCITY!!!! But anyways, I actually very keen to hear that Thunder Struck remix, because as this Remix wave has been sweeping over psyland, Ive always been thinking why doesnt someone do a remix of thunder Struck, that track would really lend itself to remixing. But it should be a slow banging techno/houseish remix at like 128 bpm with big swirling agrresive synthlines and lyrics. I already have it all in my head, to bad I cant produce music, you guys would love it im sure. I would tweak Anguses guitar to a whole new level
  7. that would be "Sweet Lullaby" by deep forest, its actually women from an obscure african tribe chanting. anyways, I never cried from music, but I get very emotinal sometimes, usually with older stuff: Terra Ferma - Lunar Sunrise California Sunshine - Rain (especially the first melody before the rain) Union Jack - Red Herring Atmos-Rebirth of Cavanough (pitched at -8, probably one of the most perfectest songs out there) Etnica-Trip Tonite Yahel-For The People (yeah, i know its cheesy, but that melody makes the hair on my neck stand up) LSG-Hidden Sun of Venus 12 Moons-Beyond Infinity Some New songs: Atmos-Transmission in Vain (those spaced out voices always give me the chills) Lish- Sea Side Hills (that last soaring melody) Yahel-Avalanche Shmuel Flash-Chilling Moments
  8. oh god. i ve been messing around with djing stuff for like ten years already, and i never even had the idea of writing down bpms or calculating. that just seems really really weird. I only mix with my ears, thats the only way to do it right and to mix anything other than just stupid full-on from 144 to 145 bpm. If you try mixing anythinmg else, it just wont work unless you can feel the beat
  9. i say: minimal music with maxmum amount of drugs!!! yeah!
  10. Ive been listening to the Stream of Jaia - Orchestra (Minilogue Mix) from the Digital Structures website a lot lately, great track!!
  11. it was just a matter of time....
  12. Everyone who missed this should really kick himself really hard, the weather was no problem whatsoever, it wasnt muddy and it was really rocking from beginning to end. D-Nox completely rocked the house as usual, but it was a lot more melodic than what Im used to from him. The best set I have heard in a very loooong time. Otherwise I concur with Toxs musical highlights, except that Montagu & Golkonda were awesome as well.
  13. Yup, im in Berlin right now, 100km from Putlitz, and its been raining like thers no tomorrow, Im standing at the window waiting for Noah to sail around the corner with his Arc... I hope he takes me and Pam Anderson
  14. And y'all know what I look like from my avatar, but ill be hanging out with Satans fluffer anyway, oh, and dont even bother looking for me at the full on stage
  15. I`ll be there for sure, even though Ill only get there Friday night or Saturday morning
  16. I think this release is definitely not typical Iboga style, when have they released an album before where no track goes over 130bpm? I think Antix developed away from their sound and found something non-stereotypical just as this release is a new direction for Iboga, I dont feel any Freq influence at all, like mentioned above the only influence I see is Infusion or the prog.house scene in general. And of course TCD is not dirty at all, thats the whole point. THey werent going for the dirty funky thing, they were going for the warm floaty hug, and they achieved that to utmost perfection. If the warm floaty thing is not to your liking, thats a whole other matter, but I would not call TCD stereotypical. BTW, your release on Lime Light isnt exactly dirty or funky either, its a great track , but if you call this stereotypical you need to examine your own stuff, cause I consider City Rain to be quite happy and floaty as well.
  17. What a cool compilation!!! Nice booklet, cool design, carfullz selected tracks, Tribal Vision is really putting a lot of effort into its releases, this CD is a real joy. Im not gonna get into full detail, but tracks 1, 5, and 6 are my favorites. Jaia stands out with a nice slow groove and subtle smooth melodies, a pefect sweet track. Flowjob is really making me wanna hear more from them, it somehow reminds me a bit of Frogacult, but th ats a good thing. And I dont wanna boost an already overly inflated ego , but our very own EP aka Holmes and Anderson contributes a very long ( i loooooove the long tracks in general) tribal and trippy voyage that makes me wonder if hes not a big pothead in denial when hes sitting there in his studio. Im certainly looking forward to his soon to come album. Leloo is of course also a real stomper but its old and i have listened to it too many times aleady. And special mention goes to Rai, who again shows shows that hes the master of all thigs fluffy and shiny, but to its too squeahy clean to be named with those other three tracks. Anyways, no bad tracks except the last one, highly recomended.
  18. el ritmo is probably the only penton track i dislike. anyways, a cool one is Pots - Aspirin and Cola and isnt there that chrome (Marc o'tool) track with the flamenco guitar or something, that ones cool, forgot the name though.
  19. theere is a beverly hills cop track by necton, its quite old, like 2000 or something, released on spirit zone
  20. my best friend was the recording engineer on the new Liquido CD
  21. cool set Sherlockalien, i could definitely see myself grooving to that one!!! Seems like we have approximately the same taste in music. But blue haze -into nothing (hamel mix) , what a fucking superblaster!!! I forgot that one, its so hard to make up a set without looking at the records, if i have my case in front of me its a lot easier!!
  22. yes, its my fav from the album, there are alöso some other tracks on your list i would play, especially lemon phase, thats my fav from the vibrasphere album, or datalinks, or waiting for the knights
