Really? Are you serious? Can we just take a step back from the hyperbolic cliff for a moment? Tastes differ and if you're one of the ones who thinks the sun rises and sets on this disc than that's great. I ain't that guy. "Spiritual Healing" sounds like a synth pop anthem, though I cannot deny the emotive aspect of it. But cheese. Some other reviewer mentioned it sounds like the cheapest synths were used and I can see where he got that. This isn't a dance album, and it sure as hell isn't a goa trance album. I will say this: In every track there are parts that I liked. Unfortunately they are small parts that can't carry the album. "The Return of the Travellers" and "The Ancient Sounds of the God" stood out for me, very vivid. I look at it like this. If you are looking for something different, then this might fit the bill. If you measure it against the heavyweights of goa, it will most definitely disappoint. Mdk

Wow, super dark goa trance. It's got some great attributes; poignant sci fi samples, atmosphere, and a driving beat. I usually love my music to be melody laden, and this has them, but they are mostly subtle. The main ingredient here is mood and how they unfurl the tale. The tracks are well placed as well. Tranceformations comes after a few scaled back somewhat minimal sounding tracks and jars you awake, giving that second wind. I can listen to this all the way through as I feel that is the only way to immerse yourself in what Darshan is trying to create. Sure, sometimes it can sound a little samey and monotonous, but if you catch it when you are in the right mood, watch out. Mdk

The majority opinion here is that this should be a classic. So what's the hold up? I believe the melodies are superb on a lot of the tracks, but the production is lacking and seems very dated. Could that be the reason? Electric Universe came out with a classic in 95 with One Love. Indoor had Progressive Trance and Infinity Project had Feeling Weird. Are those artists superior producers? Hmmm....I wonder. I just can't put this up there with the Etnica/Pleiadians, Hallucinogen, D5, Ra, or Astral. I would say this is 2nd tier, but still impressive. Mdk

This Cd doesn't measure up to Phenomena of course as it is more club styled rather than firmly planted in goa. The woman still knew how to rip a lead though. That screamer in Disco is pure goa. Like most have said, not great but also not that bad. Mdk

Man the power in this release is unbelievable. The melodies are very distorted (someone forgot to tell them to ease up on the Portamento and modulation setting) but once you get into it, the scene is very dark. This is what it would sound like to me if the Delta did Goa Trance. If you are looking for goa in the Suntrip model, keep looking, it ain't that type of party. So, do I like it? I can take it or leave it. I am impressed with what it does; it's loud, abrasive and unrelenting. I don't consider it a classic, but it is worth a listen. I don't know what you guys see in Neuroglider; it descends into a swamp of noise. Mdk

Do not forget the Midnight Storm series....absolute magic. And don't sleep on Yabai...the one's Ormion mentioned are great, but check out Ministry of Chaos and Macao. Pure insanity. Mdk

I have just heard the most psychedelic music ever....

Perfect example of different tastes that make the world go round. I thought the Hux Flux remake was one of the not so great tracks. The remix of the Abomination track was a cracker and the first three tracks were pretty hypnotic. I guess this stirs up the age old debate, "What is Psychedelic?" Man, now I feel kinda bad if most people don't like it that much. Mdk -
Haven't heard it yet (still I plan to buy it; I'm a sucker for any and all goa releases) but I noticed that 3 tracks are already available on compilations. Add to the fact that there is a short intro and outro, that means only 5 new tracks. For a debut album? What gives?

I think it's awesome that of all the psytrance releases, it is consistently goa trance that receives the highest acclaim. This is higher music. Love it. Mdk

I heard it and wasn't that impressed. Mdk

What disc is this you ask? Space No More by Wizack Twizack. This is an unrelenting assault on the senses. Sure Dead End was great, but this? This artist must have made a deal with the devil, because mere mortals cannot make music like this. It is powerful, melodic and soooo deep. I cannot stop listening to this. Congrats Mr. Axelsson this is an absolute masterpiece. People, I cannot recommend this highly enough. I would do a review but I haven't come down from the clouds yet. :clapping: Mdk

Wouldn't it be just like you wizards to get Etnica or Pleiadians or Astral Projection to dip their toe into goa again. Great stuff guys. Mdk -

Why so serious? Mdk

Whatever happened to the Artha EP or for that matter the album release? Congrats on the big plans in the future. I don't think there could be any better news. Any word on maybe getting Colorbox back into the game? I thought he had resurfaced a short while ago. Mdk

Suntrip, Timecode, Nexus Media, Iono. Kings, I tell ya. Honorable mention to Glowing Flame, Cronomi, and Phototropic. Watching Ezel-Ebed and Moonquest. Mdk

Beatless Ambient...for what reason?
Trance2MoveU replied to Trance2MoveU's topic in General Psytrance
The drug days for me are long over, but I agree to fully appreciate it, you have to be in the mood for it. I think as of now I prefer downtempo or something with a beat as I can feel the changes in the music. Mdk -
Beatless Ambient...for what reason?
Trance2MoveU replied to Trance2MoveU's topic in General Psytrance
That's a good way to put it. As I delve farther into the album, there is more than just spacey pads that go on for 32 measures, and that helps. But, slowing down time is very applicable. I have never heard music that typifies what it must be like to be adrift in space. Mdk -
Awesome choices! But, what is the last one? Mdk

I'm listening to Numina- Transparent Planet and while it is beautiful with spacious, floating pads I'm wondering why. Is it's sole purpose to b a soundtrack when going to sleep? It's hard to listen to as I find myself losing focus, trying to follow the melody. With droning pads it just seems so ponderously slow. With no beats to ground me, I feel like a balloon that is being carried away by the wind. Does anyone enjoy this other than at night? Mdk
-
This is very smooth! I feel like I am at the polar ice caps. The higher frequency tones give me a cold feeling, but the pads keep me nice and toasty. Great stuff! Mdk

This deserves a bump. This release is as solid as they come. My favorites were Angelina and Can You See This. Beautiful ambient and downtempo music and it's free. You have nothing to lose. Now, once you get hooked by this release, you must go to his site. He has several more releases that you can download and you get to name your own price. That being said, once you read the info regarding his friend Jorgen Bryde, I defy you not to give back to an artist that gives so much. Mdk

I was one of them! Always on the lookout for new Goa! Haven't listened yet, but looking forward to it. Mdk
