  1. Any chance of bringing some for the rest of us Psynewers to procure instead of purchasing from unreliable street venoors? ????????
  2. Interestingly, we pay that much for an average party (one international name) in Greece. Flights booked for the 26th Oct, easyjet has big offers until 5th of October!
  3. I'm probably going to india in Novermber so info about those places would be appreciated! also Pm sent!
  4. Maybe the police where among you already and they too were enjoying the music so when that Dj got on............................... they intervened! Moral of the story: Cops can have a good taste so don't play bad music!
  5. You can count me in too! I'm definetly going!
  6. I'd like to go but I'm wondering how one gets there? What's the nearest international airport???? How does one get there with public transport? Sorry but my knowledge of India is somewhat limited

    I HATE

Does that mean that you love hate lovers or that you don't love hate haters?
  8. Extrawelt - EDasding Plattenleger 20-05-06 Amazing....... I want to have the playlist!
  9. I'd gladly help! Even cleaning toilets. Assuming that there's also time to party!!
  10. I started hearing the melody towards the end. It truely is fron Mai Mai (one of the sexiest psy tracks ever).
  11. I haven't been to many lives but the best also for me is Hallucinogen on 2 occasions at the First Glade and Twisted party in London 2004. He was crap though at Samothraki 2002, but he had technical problems. Worst: Many bad acts at festivals so I can't really claim who is the worst. Although I've been to a night that Eskimo was good. Northumbria uni in Newcastle 3 years ago. His DJ set wasn't bad at all!

    Talpa

Reminds me of the old Infected Mushroom. Sometimes I think he tries to fit too many ideas in his songs but it has that gothic/epic feel. It's quite refreshing, since it's a sound you don't hear very often.
  13. Europe prefferably! Although Brazil could be an option too.
  14. Just wondering if there are any festivals towards the end of August or September. I'll be working 7/7 until around the 20th of August when I hope I'll be getting a break after. So any reccomendations?
  15. I was in High school (Lykeio in Greek) and a friend gave me a cd with trance (Oakenfold, digweed etc) among the tracks was also some Astral. 2001 went to uni. Started going to commercial trance parties in Newcastle. Met some other Greek people there that invited me to go to London for an underground party. It was Reefer Decree and Emok. Had my first MDMA there, realy loved the party. Started downloading psy music, like a lot of people the first songs where Infected and Astral. At the begin I only liked the power/full-on songs, but now I realise its all about the melodies. The funny thing is that when I went back to Greece for the summer after my first year at university and started talking to people about Goa/Psy, there were soooooo many people that I knew who were going to parties for years (while I stayed home and studied) and they had never introduced me to ther experience/music. Now they talk about the the early years (95ish....) and I really regret that I hadn't been there (although I was very young at the time).
  16. Could you please reccomend some good compilations from those on sale? I'll look at the reviews afterwards about descripiotns I avoid buying compilations since I don't connect much with them, they tend not to be memorable but since its a good chance to get some cheap ones, I'll give it a go. I already have selected about 20 albums (non-compilations). The only one that's a compilation is Apsara.
  17. Got a cd with dance mp3s around 2000. Had mahadeva in it, which was my favourite of them all but never bothered looking for more astral tracks. Then I went to uni and I met some people at a trance party, they invited me to travel with them the week after in London for a Reefer Decree Live. I was blown away by the whole experience and got hooked since then. Strangely, although they are all for minimal/progressice and that's what I listened most then, now I'm all for melodic stuff. So its MP3s!
  18. this is bigger then samothraki 02!!!!!! I thought there would never be as huge a line up as then, but I've been proved wrong. Anyway, I just got a job, and it will be difficult to get days but I'm tempted now.
  19. I first heard sum psy around 2000 when a friend of mine gave me a cd with dance mp3s that had Mahadeva in it, it was my favourite track so i just typed Astral prpjection in google and actually one of the first sites that i found was psynews. So i started readin g reviews and started dowloadin. At that time i was about 17 and was already familiar with commercial trance. So psynews was 1 of my first contacts with goa/psytrance. When I started listening i really cudn get the crazy melody songs, i thought hallucinogen and GNOTR was crap. I really liked IM. Nowadays i think hallucinogen is phenomenal while I find Astral's music to b a bit simplistic. 2001 i went to uni and got hooked up with sum ppl that were really into minimal/progressive and went to my first party which was Reefer degree at the EQ warehouse london. It was mindlowin and after that I got hooked. What happened when I came home for xmas after that party was shockin. I discovered that practicaly every1 in my hometown was listenin to psy for years and years, even a very good friend of mine was into psy since he was 13 and I had no clue about it. When i discussed it with them they told that because I wasnt into drugs and was studying a lot (nerdy) they never thought id like it. When i went to samothraki the same year I was again shocked at the number of ppl that were that were there and we had gone at the same school I cant say that I've ever really been part of the scene, I go to parties occasionaly but I really mostly listen at home. I'm trying to catch up with the pre 2000 psy/goa since I wasn into it then. HEY KOOL-AID WHATS UP. ITS TASSO. HAVENT SEEN U AROUND RECENTLY. WHAT U DOIN NOWADAS. PM ME
  20. anyway! i was wathcing man on fire on dvd the other day with some friends and there's this scene inside a dance club in mexico city. So there's this track playing in the club and as soon as i hear it i say "this is definetly GMS" and then at some point I listen this characteristic swirling as if an engine stops and I was certain it was Deedrah- reload (gms remix). Anyway, I was right, i checked the soundtrack and it has 3 GMS tracks in there, cant remember hearing "Juice" in the film though. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0328107/soundtrack anyway, the film is nothing special and neither the tracks(although the original reload is great) just something i noticed and the whole club scene is ridiculous as if ppl would be dancin when a club is on fire!
  21. I've only heard their albums (no EPs or the 2002 best of thingy which had hotaka). I don't like Huelam and Giant. Shango is mediocre compared to their other albums, but Pistolero is good. Most of the other stuff is great. Transmissions is a HUGE album for its time.
  22. I think they are a bit repetitive and very predictable, there's nothing special about the songs, most of them sound the same. Can't stand it msot of the time.
  23. Vinyl can sound much better then Cd, the problem is that you need good (expensive) decks. On the other hand even a cheap CD player can produce good sound.
