  1. Hi, I agree in some ways here with the sentiments of The Elysium Project. I agree neither whole-heartedly nor half-heartedly but somewhere in between. Thank-you very much for listening. Jon
  2. Special thanks to Mr masen for the inspiration to remind me to do a round of checking just before Xmas for the Flying Rhino specialty items. I managed to find First Flight in Very Good condition for 15 Euro. Boyd in the Void for a great price. Mint Airborne was a little pricey but still below discogs average and yeah, I HAD, to have it at the time to pair it off with First Flight because I'd been eyeing both of them off for a very long while. Never heard either of these comps before ordering and they are now sitting next to me awaiting integration into my brain. Also managed to pick up MFG's The Prophecy for $10US. Transient 4 was also a very nice price, about $5US. My first Dragonfly Odonata Comp, (I have never even listened to one yet), and a late Matsuri entry to add to my other beloved Matsuri Comps. Anyhow these were Xmas/New Year gifts to myself, most of which have arrived safely already and have completely cleared out my bank account.
  3. I've noticed that Kagdila alias 2nd-hand listings on discogs are almost always WAY overpriced. He had the Zirrex re-issue for about 120 Euro, among MANY others.
  4. You might be referring to and thinking of this thread and trance tree by Anoebis that's posted below.
  5. Who's doing what for the Xmas/New Year period? Anyone travelling to somewhere or doing something interesting? Maybe a party or a festival? I'm heading to the Woodford Folk Festival. 25th year celebration. 6 days(27th Dec - 1 Jan) of 2500 performers and speakers, workshops, huge focus on the environment, good alternative vibes and great food set on a 500 acre bushland site! It's only 15 mins from my house. Most people camp. Starts tomorrow, I'm excited!
  6. Nice cover! So warm and friendly. Great colours, lighting and balance! I want to eat it or walk into it. Though I'd change the shape/colour of the sun a bit. *Group Hug*
  7. For me to personally choose a favourite, I'd maybe go with: Easy Rider Otherwise if you're just looking for films that are good to watch while stoned, as opposed to watching a film with stoners/smokers in it then the list could be pretty damn long depending on your Psycho-type. Many of the suggestions in the Real Psychedelic Movies Thread on Psynews would be a good resource.
  8. I don't know about the best of all time, but for a TEEN maybe: Dazed and Confused Almost Famous Neither of them being pure stoner flicks but both having feel-good, retro vibes(70's), decent story-lines and OK soundtracks with some drug use involved. Most "pure" stoner films I've found to be empty, meaningless and not that funny, even in my stoner days, but maybe that's just because of my taste etc.
  9. I'm sure most of you here have heard about this via email. Here's a link to the official announcement on the Ultimae Website. "Origin # 01, is the first chapter in a series of four albums which aim to present Solar Fields' music under a new light. The artist dived into his studio archives and discovered unreleased little gems. A simple idea came along to share with fans and followers this incursion into the life of a contemporary composer. The tracks on Origin # 01 were created over the course of the last ten years. At times we'll be tempted to give a date to the music composition because there's a specific feel to it which reminds us of a moment or of an album; at others we're thrown in the pure flow of inspiration and that is timeless. Magnus Birgersson opens up the audio spectrum and spices up his music with guitars, bass, drums, balalaika, sitar; once again reminding us what a talented multi-instrumentalist he truly is. Origin # 01, a multi-coloured archive made of ten genuine and intense songs. 2 parts Digifile CD format. Mastered by Vincent Villuis at the Ultimae Studio." Available for now at the Ultimae Shop. Sci-Fi Movies

My votes went to: Aliens Predator 2001 Space Odyssey Close Encounters Matrix More Sci-Fi films need to be made ASAP! Even though I know there's going to be nothing new I still scan the Sci-Fi section pretty much every time I go to the video store to rent something.

  14. Has this arrived for you yet? I have a couple of CD's taking a long time to get here. I think it's due to xmas mail madness phenomenon. I had one arrive today that took over 3 weeks to get here and am still waiting on a couple I ordered around the same time. I think they were all from the States and/or Canada. It's frustrating waiting and wondering and such a sigh of relief when it finally arrives. The poor communication is harder to explain though. I also recently had an incident with poor communication from a seller. Them taking a long time to reply and the replies were modified cut and paste robot replies. Quite frustrating when you want to resolve an issue with a defective purchase. So much easier if you can do it face-to-face rather than via email if the person is being difficult. Anyway, I recently have purchased:
  15. New Album seems to be coming soon(December 8) for fans of this guy. Official Announcement @ Isratrance with more details and Soundcloud samples Saiko Sounds
  16. Thanks for the recommendations. I ended up ordering: Transformation of Reality Temple of One Little Worlds Trold Time of Illusion The other Glowing Flame albums will be continually on my radar. Particularly Imaginarity and the couple of other Braincell albums. Which Braincell album would you grab first out of Frequency Evolution and Universal langauge? Anyhow I've hijacked this thread enough as it is. To stay on topic, I noticed that the new Braincell release is not to be on glowing Flame, it's coming out on a label called Free Spirit. Due out this week.
  17. My favourites are Echo and Lime Structure. Archipelago and Exploring the Tributaries have their warm moments that immerse you in their beauty but as whole albums they lack a true progressive cohesive structural quality or presence that's found in those first 2 albums that gives them their power, trance or replayability. If I remember correctly the opening downtempo track on Lungs of Life was worth listening to but the rest of the album was boring/unlistenable/forgettable. I haven't listened to these albums or any prog in ages! It doesn't bother me personally that they've shut down. =)
