  1. Here's a start of answer for Miss Shiva , indeed Cj Bolan is credited, so not a rip of at all.. =>http://www.discogs.com/Miss-Shiva-Dreams/release/28644 In the second case, there's just a passage which look like, in term of copyright an artist has right to copy a limited number of measure of a tune (sample) without crediting the original. Btw you're right, i know other covers of this anthem, one from Bell-Bar - "What do you think" well known producers (Frankie Fischer & Beat Paul productions) specialized for Airplay rec in covers purposes. => http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...extend_music%5b Today they've got a professional music business => <a href="http://www.bumtchak.com/" target="_blank">http://www.bumtchak.com/[/url] For those who could be interested in Bell bar, i found out on the net some trace of their old releases (the first one is the closest to their cover of Dreams on a tones view except this time it's based ona James Bond melody) : Bell bar - Did You Love Me ? =>http://djfabmegeve.blogspot.com/2009/04/be...xi-cd-1995.html I advice the 3rd & 4th versions here Bell Bar - Red Alert (remix)=>http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...remix1996_music Bell Bar - Red Alert (tribal)=>http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/searc...usic?hmz=746162 Bell bar - This ? (unofficial remix) => http://www.wat.tv/audio/el-mister-dj-remix...ipwg_io7z_.html
  2. I take the opportunity of this topic to ask if there's a Japanesse psytrance forum like Psynews or at least an Asian one , indeed one mixing english & local language ?
  3. your post reminds me to listen back to : With the nice tunes from Alien Mutation,Kick Bong, Ooze, Spacefish, Grey Area; Lissa,Jens Buchert,Dubbelhelix & Electric Universe especially :drama:
  4. Quite ambiguous to read someone seeking for serious Full On quoting Visual contact dancefloor or commercial full on would better suit for this band Otherwise check all the other stuffs produces either by Visual Paradox or Bizarre Contact as they're part of Visual Contact.
  5. Ok checking my stock of old reviews it seems if i correctly use the serach engine this one wasn't post yet... Tracklist: 1- Regeneration 8'13 2- Embryo 7'31 Coverart by *-licia- (deviantart.com) Additional artwork by Filipe Santos Mastered by Dave Hook (Infinite Dimensions) Lost Buddha Regeneration Ep (Metapsychic) 2007 Embryo => Will surely reminds many good memories to all old schoolers due to its identifiable Transwave influence. Especially the Helium album period ; indeed it's kinda alchemy of My Dear Medical Assurance, Zero Density& Hypnorhythm with other fresh sounds & ideas, all in one track . Regeneration => This second tune is more into the Israeli Goa vibe (Astral Projection, Indoor, Phreaky) with an extra oriental touch. The piano sounds a bit strange (not to say a bit cheesy sounding, i'm sure there's better piano tones available ) in the middle of this powerful flood that's probably my only regret on this stuff Both tracks are effective in their style nevertheless i've got a slight preference for Embryo. available here: http://www.beatbiz.net/album/Metapsychic%2...(MP3%20version) Big Up to Vassilis (Cosmogenesis)/Metapsychic if he still surfes on the forum.
  6. I retain one word you said "funky", So i think about Haltya, have you ever heard them or any Finnish artist coz they have lots of funk influences in the Suomi school. => http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=7089 More recently in a close genre, forest trance there's the debut album of Ozmali - Forest Fusion => http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=7948
  7. V/A One Dub (Interchill cd 036) review Tracklist: 01. Sugar Minott - Take It Dub 02. Vibronics Feat. Macka B - Tired of the War 03. Gaudi - 100% Rootikal 04. Liquid Stranger - Welcome to My Culvert 05. Ashtech - Just Try 06. System Error Feat. Michael Rose - Time Bomb [Dub] 07. Luciano - What We Got To Do [GCorp Remix] 08. Ragana - Ah 09. Michael Rose - Throw Some Dub 10. Bush Chemists - Good Sensi Dub 2 11. Dr. Israel - Dub Inna Babylon 12. Big Bass Theory - All Of Us 13. International Observer - Binman Dub 14. Pushmipulyu - We Make it Work [impossible Dub Mix] 15. Manasseh and Praise - Dub for Dennis The compilation is scheduled for the 26th june. The aim of One Dub is to deliver the largest offer possible as Dub's representation in all his splendour, btw be careful don't expect the famous psydub from Hallucinogen or Ott alike artists but more Reggae-Dub , roots or warm Dub productions here . By Regaae-Dub, i specify that you can expect some lyrics contrary to common Psydub or variant forms of Dub, It'll be the case for the following tracks : 1,2,6,7,9,10,11 & it'll be woman even on : 8 which is less frequent to point out . The construction depending the tracks is either more focused on the hypnotizin force of the tune with loop constructions (Tracks 2) or on the melodic groove harmony done with the sung parts (Tracks 1,). Among the rest of tunes, some reveals to be spacier, floating like The Gaudi's one. Liquid Stranger delivers for his side, a raving tune with a special trembling bass lead, sort of sick bumblebee trying to regain the hive with stop & go moments. We've got some Swaying & mischievous Dub thanks to Astech, happy vibes of course by here . Pushmipulyu proposes a Dub slightly more experimental, notably through the rhythmic work, contrasting with many classic Dub songs or reggae-dub tracks here. Once again, here like oftenly in Dub, lots of echoes, but it's quite ok in this case, for me Manasseh and Praise end up this v/a on a beautiful way with a muffled, emotional Dub based on violin melody & discrete whistle leads, very restful. I just would also like to mention: Some similarities between the Luciano's song & Was Not Was - Papa Was A Rolling Stone anthem. I'm elsewhere a bit bothered with Michael Rose's track due to a massive oriented echo resonating direction choice. It's results slightly confused especially toward the second half, but i clearly know many are fond of this Dub genre & will surely gain its public (The Dr Israel's song also occurs in the this same category). Perhaps if i should give a less successful track, i would give the prize on One Dub to Bush Chemists, it appears laziest on its production to me of the cd; without being awful though. I think globally each fans of Dub should be able to pick up enough quality tunes in One Dub among the 15th tracks selected, despite some tracks they should eventually skip; as there are so many in different genres of style in order to satisfied everybody. Mark: 7/10
  8. i got the promo too & i can guarantee you if you're into Dub, you can buy it eyes closed
  9. It's maybe coz i'm french that i don't see the similarities between both
  10. It's the Eat Digital power , you probably know Damion
  11. I don't find Talamasca comparable to Jaïa at all personally & won't never reach their talent neither More keen on Full on (or famous for that instead of his few first goa tunes) & not very good melodist to my ears
  12. what an impressive list of recent purchase mate
  13. is there's a delete option ? sometimes i'm the king of double post
  14. yes it's stephen of course, was thinking him and wrote serge Most of reactions on french forums about the samples of the new album tell that indeed it's sounding typical Stephen trademark, like some of his old goa tunes repacked in a not very fresh full on, & this is also my view .
  15. When you say "nobody talk about them", you're partly right, indeed they've been talked a lot about ... but at the time which means mainly 1994-1997 then with time it decreases. Btw for their still fans, i know Stephen (& not serge my mistake :wank: ) (coz today Total Eclipse is just him, i'm not even sure of the participation of Loic nowadays in the project ...) has cooked a new album scheduled for autumn if i'm not mistaken on Mandala records, check their mypase for extracts , it's melodic full on, but not very fresh sounding unfortunately for my view... =>http://www.myspace.com/totaleclipsefr Very true, Mururoa My Love still remains at a high place among my favourite goa tune
  16. i'm taking my first listening of the promo of v/a One Dub , the latest Interchill release, scheduled for the 26th june for those who'd interested by. Btw i've just learned also that a new Liquid Stranger album is scheduled for October :clapping: :posford:
  17. yep exactly sort of sandbox label
  18. I consider Jaïa delivering kinda more exotic Goa than the norm, there's some tunes matching for this exotic touch, i think about some Union Jack or Art of Trance songs for example, Shakta - Shakti Shakta, M.O.S - Live Tropical Fish Total Eclipse - Le Lotus Bleu & Blue Galaxie Kora - Bakari jan (a side project of jaia with dj jean marie K) Zero Gravity - Sensorium a Noosphere one but i forgot the name , ok after checking it's Noos-sleap.
  19. Are you sure Kagdila to be considered as goa label I remember some of their releases & that wasn't the case at all, more on the night dark area according to me & with average quality furthermore... Sundance seems to be more on the twisted melodic psytrance but ok could fit with 'psytrance of 2nd generation", for the rest no worry matching 100% :drama:
  20. Entheogenic - Mono-Atomic (Sacred mix) coz it's Goa sounding & not their usual psychill prod . http://www.lastfm.de/music/Entheogenic/B-Sides
  21. No possibility for voting for psy Ambient, chill & downtempo ? Considering that some names such as Hallucinogen, Entheogenic for example could be seen as melodic psytrance mid or slow tempo.
  22. D Batistatos - Weeper On The Shore (Cosmicleaf cd 015/2009) Tracklisting: 1)Under pressure 2)Weeper on the shore 3)Night diving 4)Just the sea 5)When the clouds come 6)Diving 7)Beyond the ocean 8)Underwater Dub (Letter to Egypt) 9)Driving (Cydelix remix) 10)Vin del mar (remix for Red Eye Express) 11)Hoover (Zero Cult remix) D Batistatos has nothing to do with the American catcher Dave Batista which has Filipino origins whereas Dimitris Bastistatos is from Greece. This is his second album , the first one was Architect also on Cosmicleaf. Inside the cd following the tracks => 1)Dub warm with soft morning colourful tones close to 2nd album of Kuba on Chillcode or some productions from another Greek Psy-Dub well known artist Gabriel Le Mar under his project Dub Connected. 2) Emotional & ultra melodic tune with, among other instruments violin, pan flute conferring, a special harmonic & orchestral feeling. 3)Back to dub with acoustic guitar in guise of accompaniment this time, this track is especially rich in its multi-layered way with a pensive, dreamy mood. 4)Focuses from start on piano melody then concentrates on the acoustic guitar, you've got a close feeling such as in Children from Robert Miles despite the production is completely different in their respective forms. 5) If you're fond of emotional melodic piano lines (here the piano got the main eventer role); you'll be pleased here, simple, sober & effective. 6)Like hypnotized or stunned, is the position in which puts you this tune, more passive than really controlling the elements : a spectator. 7)The song could have been called "songe from a summer night" reflecting the moment when in the beginning of the night , the heat decrease & you start perceiving some chilled breeze. 8)Time for old school influenced Dub, with a pumping loop of trumpets reminds me some old stuffs from Klf in the White Room album with samples from King Tubby. 9)Surfing on the old power, D Batistatos brings us (with help from Cydelix for the remix) now an eclectic mix a of 70's vocal soul-funk piece with a Sade's pop hit from the 80's meaning soft warm sounds capes & exotic percussions and for the finish a slight hint of a more current electronic touch, via dreamy clubby Ibiza Trance-house few notes. 10)As part of a remix work, indeed you won't see the difference here between it & the own produced Batistatos, so no worries here if you dig up to now the sound delivered. 11)In guise of conclusion, we've got a remix from Zero Cult, which contrasts the most with the rest, even the Cydelix's one was perfectly matching with the spirit of the album. Furthermore i'd say it even denatures the global music orientation displayed since the beginning, it's a pity to conclude on this one according to me. It's somehow the only black point, reproach, i'll formulate for the whole album. Verdict=> The 2 main attractive characteristics of Weeper On The Shore consist in: - the classical musical background highly reflected all along the D Batistatos's songs through the intensive multi- use of instruments. - consequence to the first statement, leads to a massive "story telling" entertaining capacity coming out the whole album that obviously can't be other than adapted, recommended to all fans of Chill melodic dreamy music.
