  1. I always found TLD to be a lot less interesting than Twisted, at least to my ears. The lack of melodies in almost every track makes it a very emotionless and flat trip to my senses. And talking about melodies.. Jiggle Of The Sphinx just sounds particularly awful to me, i can't stand listening to those celtic synths.. makes me feel irritated.
  2. E-Mantra - Metempsychosis E-Mantra if you're a girl, marry me. If you're a man, i'll turn gay without (almost) any hesitation. It's not my style to play the fanboy but seriously.. that track - as well as some others from you - are absolutly fantastics. I had an eargasm the first time i listened to it, especially from 3:07 to 3:33. That's for those 26s that i'm happy to have discovered Goa Trance, you can't find that anywhere else. Such intensity, yet subtle, emotional, and atmospheric. Thanks for the shivers! /praise
  3. I know nothing about DnB, but i like your track a lot. Looking forward to the album!
  4. Another track i remember listening on his website and loved, was "Those Talking Machines" which belonged to his K.O.B. project i think - quite atmospheric and haunting. That one really needs to be released.
  5. Not sure what made you take this decision but that must not have been easy.. I'm sad to hear it because you are one of those rare artists that don't care about conformism and money. Everything you did made the scene richer and more interesting, and you sure will be missed. Much respect to you and best wishes for the future!!

  7. Weird, i thought it was just Stephane Holweck now? It seems thats what their myspace is saying, as well as their bio on discogs. Anyway i didn't know about this new album, and i'm not sure i'm happy to know about it now Sounds like another mythic name is going to take some dust.. not so surprising, but always disapointing. I'm going to see them/him at Ozora this year.. if they're playing that average full on instead of their classic goa tracks, i'm going to suicide.
  8. Kinda why i always recommend some AT phones for the small budget (300€ in the hifi world is considered small), as they don't need a powerful amp to be driven well. Personally i'd still recommend the AD900. They're cheap, closed if thats important for you, comfy, known to be good for electronic music, and they don't need a very pricy amp to be driven correctly. Idealy you would just have to listen to the phones that you are interested in before you can buy them, as we all have different ears and something sounding gorgeous to someone can sound awful to someone else. If you're not much of Hifi head though (read: analyzing every single thing to see where are the tiny flaws), then i think you'd be happy with pretty much anything.
  9. Total Eclipse always been one of the best goa group in my book and they were/are really famous amongst the goa heads, at least until Serge Souque left. I love how their music sound totally unique; you know its a Total Eclipse track just by listening to the very first seconds. My top 2 tracks from them would be "The Furnace" and "Waiting For A New Life". If you didn't listen to it yet, have a look on the music Souque collaborated on under "The Deviant" - especially the "Orichalcum & The Deviant" album. It's darker than Total Eclipse music, but still unique and amazing.
  10. I have the AD900 and the AD2000 from Audio Technica, and i'm very happy with them both. I never listened to the AD1000 but they have the same aural signature then the AD2000. They are pretty pricey though, and last i checked you could get an AD2000 for the same price (ordering from Japan). The AD900 are very cheap though, about 150€ delivered from JP; and the differences between the AD900 and the AD2000 aren't that big to my ears, at least not big enough to justify spending 200 more €. The sweet thing about those phones is that you don't need a very good (read: pricy) amp to get them to sound good. Something in the 100-200€ price range would be way enough, and they would still sound good if you just wanted to plug them into an ipod. Anyway you should check on head-fi and browse their forums, as i always say if you have a question about headphones.. the answer is already there waiting for you. In case you don't, the general feeling about those phones is that they are very good for electronic music (fast, detailed, nice bass, etc).
  11. Oh alright, thats great to hear. I'll drop you an email later on then mars. I'm not in a hurry though so if thats too much of a hassle don't worry about it I'd just wait until you have time to work on it.
  12. Just a slightly offtopic question here.. will it ever be possible to purchase single tracks from Suntrip website? There are a few of them i would love to have in flac, but i can't afford to spend 10€ just for 1 or 2 tracks.
  13. Well to be fair, i never heard any of it. Not too sure what psychedelic techno is about as well, maybe would i like those genres.
  14. I understand what you mean, the emphasis on the cause tickled my cynical ears as well. Though i very much doubt the guy is going all through the process of gathering known artists to make an album, just so he could get a few extra money by using a cause as a marketing strategy. While it might work wonders in the big industry, it's unlikely that he will personally benefit in any way of this potential generosity appeal in our tiny scene. The contrary might be true however. Also i don't think this is going to solely make ppl buy this album. They will buy it if they like the music, and will be happy to see that some of the money might help someone, even if only slightly. It might not be a lot, almost meaningless even. But if that can brings a tiny amount of happiness for a few hours or days to a few kids, well that's better than nothing at all. And for those that aren't interested in the music, i don't think they will buy it. I mean if you want to give some money to a cause, it's better to give 10€ directly instead of buying a 10€ CD that you don't care about, and only see half the money going to the cause you're supporting. So i don't really see a problem even if that was a marketing strategy, it still is the same thing to me. If i like the album i'll buy it, if i don't i won't. And ultimately, there is also the possibility that he is really kind hearted (they do exist ) and that he's just trying to make an album with the artists he loves, and thought it would be nice if some of the money could help a kid or 2 for some time.
  15. I agree with what everyone said to you, don't worry about what ppl want and just make the music you feel like doing. If you worry too much about whether ppl will like it or not, or what kind of music you should make to please as much ppl as possible, then i think we know how it will end up; music with a lot of cliche and generic melodies/sounds, which isn't very interesting. From a listener point of view, the only thing i want to see (hear) is your soul and your feelings put into music. And not only the bright side, i want to see the darkness in you as well! :evil laugh: Maybe i won't like it, that's a possibility. But at least i will have respect for you. So don't worry about us, and give the music all your best and more!
  16. From that list i'm afraid i don't like anything, except goa. There is that odd darkpsy track i can like, but it's probably because it sounds goa-ish lol. So yeah.. within psytrance, 99% of the music i like is goa.
  17. I really like your track. It has a nice dark vibe which is pretty uncommon (to not say inexistant) in the goa genre, it makes a nice change from the happy/morning goa that tend to predominate. Dark melodies are one of the things missing in our scene, and i'm glad you made such a track. Keep up the good work!
  18. Hmm i would be curious (no sarcasm intended) to know why you are saying that. While the whole "life is unfair, ppl forgot the true meaning of life" etc sounds a bit (a lot?) cliche and naive, i find concept albums (in this case based on the word Hope) interesting. Also the fact it's eco friendly and that a bit of money will go toward a cause sounds noble enough to me to, at least, be respected. But maybe there is a catch there and that you could give more informations to ignorant ppl like me
