honestly, no .... I know that there were more than one parties where I played too hard for some people (full on people,...).... but I don't care you cannot please everybody... I like a lot of music but I only want to play 3 styles : suomi, banging psytrance (cosmo), forest (derango) organisers should know this when they book me and can always ask me to play a different style my responce will be no thanks you should find someone else (like the asked me to play oldschool on a cosmicfools party wich I refused)... I always ask for the lineup and tell them if I don't know them what they can expect and I don't mind saying no since it's not my goal to get as much gigs as possible.... I play music I like if the crowd doesn't like it organisers should stop booking me ....

i think it's easy to know in advance what kind of music to play if you know the line up... let's be honest most psytrance parties are highly predictable, fuck we even have full on parties where they play 12 hrs non stop full on...

I' m totally with krell on this one,... seems we work in the same way, quallity above quantity,.... the idea is simple no matter how good you are you will always be better when you are prepared....

the idea behind a pre made set is to make a set wich cannot be played on the fly ....

Psylosophy: What's the story behind your project's name? Mubali: Funny enough... I used to play live action role playing games. There was this one game called "Werewolf the Apocolypse" which was about werewolves.... I made a character in that game that was a Werepanther and named him M'Bali. When it came to being a DJ, I wanted a name that was unique yet easy to remember... I was searching through some of my old writings to see if I could garner some inspiration for my DJ name when I ran across my old character sheet for M'Bali... Not really wanting to have to correct the spelling for the name, I modified it to read Mubali... Originally, I wanted my DJ name and production name to be two separate things, kinda like how Neuromotor has a separate DJ name (Thy Lan) and production name, so when I first started writing my music I was producing under the name Xabuumaphu. In 2003, I went and played at this event in California and was fortunate to hang out with DJ Anneli who used to be with Mechanik Sound Recs. She asked me what I produced under and I told her, and she asked me "How the hell do you expect people to remember that, let alone spell it?? Don't you DJ under a different name? You should just use the dj name, more people will remember it better". That convinced me to abandon the whole separated name thing and just keep it simple. I do admit though, if I ever release stuff in another genre, I would probably use Xabuumaphu again just for laughs.
