  1. No more booze for you, my friend! Or is it the hypno-toad that has gotten too much for you? Edit: Ok, on topic: M.O.S. (Mittelstandskinder Ohne Strom) Nerve Neser D.N.A. Kopfuss Resonator (early stuff) Qlap (Ticon/Son Kite collab) And wait a minute - Norway a penis-shaped country? You gave me something to think about there...
  2. Guy Gerber - Stoppage Time (Osamu M Emagine Mix) Smashing prog!
  3. You mean Chaos Laboratory? I can't remember it very well, but at least it's part full-on, no? GMS more or less invented full-on, so the sound has of course developed itself a bit since then. Old GMS > New GMS anyways.
  4. Yeah, I see what you mean. Most ambient is beatless, but they sometimes throw in beats in a track or two to diverse it a little. Biosphere - Substrata is another good example. As long as it's only slow beats it's still ambient the way I see it.
  5. Heh, me too. Rain, you rock and so does this thread! Keep rocking baby!
  6. Newer Space Tribe is definetely full-on, while some of the older stuff can be called "old-school" if you like. I don't really like the term though, it really doesn't say anything else than that the music is "old". The older stuff is more psy than goa though, if you can make that distinction. I've never considered Hallucinogen as goa, but rather proper "psy-trance" in the true meaning of the word. GMS is, and have always been full-on. So in conclusion: GMS: Full-on Hallucinogen: (Classic) Psy-trance Space Tribe: Psy-trance (old stuff), Full-on (new stuff)
  7. Not entirely true, there exists plenty of ambient that have a beat. Sometimes it can be very good as well. Listen to Peter Benisch - Waiting For Snow for example. The overall atmosphere is much calmer in ambient though than in downtempo/chillout music like Shpongle/Shulman/Entheogenic and the likes.
  8. "Psychedelic ambient" is still ambient right? Shpongle has way too much going on in their tunes for them to be called "ambient". I think you should listen to some real ambient and make a statement based on that. Psychedelic downtempo is what I'd categorize Shpongle's music as.
  9. Full on + lyrics + guitar = ROxxorZZZ!!! Honestly, worst combination ever.
  10. He was caught by Tiesto and started making boring euro-trance. It could only go one way from there.....
  11. Sorry mate, but what you wrote what not a "review", it was pointless crap from start to finish. If you think that was a review, you may have to check out the definition of the word again. Simply complaining about how bad the music is is not the same as reviewing it. I haven't heard the whole cd myself, as I heard it was full-on, but I've heard the last two songs, which are pretty nice. All in all a dissapointing finish of the project though, I expected more from them than a boring full-on formula. Hopefully they'll make better music on their own, even though I have my doubts.....
  12. Bus - Bullet (Cass & Slide Remix) Progressive the way it should be!
  13. Glad to see the forum is back. Mars is the site owner, and must be allowed to impose the rules he wants. And I mean, is it really a big loss that people aren't allowed to make drug recommendations any more? I mean, come on now. If you like drugs that's your personal opinion, but you don't have to brag about it to others and push them to do the same. The rules look perfectly ok to me, maybe that "no critizising" thing is a little strict, but I guess that one isn't meant 100% seriously. There must be room for discussion, also about other boards. And yeah, I would also like to know who's been banned. Give us some names mars.....
  14. Correction: You don't like progressive trance at all. None of those producers make/made progressive.
  15. There's no such thing as a great movie which is "too long", at least not Pulp Fiction. If a movie is great you don't want it to end or what?
  16. When you mention it, I listened to it again, and no - Antix' new album is NOT psy-trance. More like progressive house. The point remains the same though: Vocals don't belong in psy-trance, and "Hiding Place" is a big pile of crap.
  17. Nice review, very good album at least based on the tracks I've heard. Will definetely consider getting my hands on this.
  18. I buy mostly old stuff, and various forms of EDM, so the psy-shops aren't helping me much. Amazon.com (and sometimes co.uk) is where I find most of what I need.
  19. Looks interesting, Bamboo Forest has been one of my favourite psy producers for some time. Have to listen a little closer though, don't like what it says about "more full on" tunes. A shame if they're splitting up, as they're one of the best psy acts out there atm IMO. The solo stuff better be good then....
