  1. How many file sharing threads do you feel like you have to start/submit to before you're satisfied?
  2. To be fair I don't think The Infinity Project is what he's after.
  3. Hey, calm down now and be a little open minded. Just because you don't like a form of music don's mean it's shit. Some of the songs on this cd are definitely of higher quality than most psy anyways.
  4. Last two purchases: Ewan Pearson - Small Change Maas - Latitude Tech-house baby!
  5. Definitely Pleiadians. Etnica has released way too much mediocre and straight out bad stuff to even be in contention. The Pleiadians name should not be used again, they'll just ruin its reputation with the shitty full-on they make nowadays.
  6. Of course I knew, hehe. They've done some good stuff recently indeed, but nothing as good as this release IMO. Hopefully they'll make more music in this style, much more interesting than the prog house stuff....
  7. Discogs Link Released on german techno label Traum Schallplatten back in september 2005, this is really something out of the ordinary from the swedish duo. Deep, rolling music of the highest quality. And when you think it can't get any better after the first two tracks, Steve Barnes kicks in with an awesome remix! Recommended to all fans of quality minimal music. Anyone else heard this?
  8. Yeah I know, I was referring to another reply in this thread, in which Saiko-pod's album was mentioned. But what the hell - "unique" means different things to different people I guess. Agreed, Juno Reactor is a very good example of something really unique IMO.
  9. He's listening to something else than psy+trance?!? Shame on him!!!
  10. Ubar Tmar - Fusion Track 3: "Transformer Synthesizer"
  11. What I'm saying is that nobody makes music the way Eat Static do, with mixing of different styles. I think that's a pretty safe statement to make. About Koxbox, you may have a point that their music is somewhat unique based on the level of psychedelism. However, I don't think their stuff released under the Saiko-pod alias is anywhere near unique, and the same goes with many other names mentioned in this thread, which really was my point to begin with.
  12. I understood he disagreed with what I said, but that was about it. My point is that "unique" means something really out of the ordinary, something that is unlike everything else stylewise. This definition fits way better on Eat Static than on, say Chi-Ad. But hey, feel free to disagree....
  13. Maybe you should try to re-formulate your sentence, there's more than a "grammar error" there I'm afraid....
  14. I think people are setting a pretty low standard for what's "unique" here, I mean there's no way Hallucinogen, Chi-Ad or Koxbox are unique in any way. They're good artists, but that doesn't make their music "unique". Lots of others have made music in the same vein. If I was to name a truly unique one, it would probably be Eat Static - Science Of The Gods. A unique Mix of experimental psy, jungle and DnB. Anything Eat Static have done is more or less unique really.
  15. Huh, what are you talking about? That tune is pretty standard old-school trance if you ask me, nothing "full-on" about it. It's not even psy-trance. About the first full-on track, I wouldn't know, but I guess it's something from Etnica or GMS. Around 1996 or so.
  16. I've heard the whole track, and basically Kristian is right - there's nothing new here. Not straight out bad, but Simon can do much better than this. I think the track sounds very full-on-ish at the beginning, but it gets better eventually. But as said, a little lower tempo would've been nice.
  17. When you mention cold norwegian mountain ambient, Biosphere is obviously what springs to mind, but whether you'll like it Cinos isn't easy to know with your narrow taste in music. The classic "Substrata" is a great one, and also the latest release "Dropsonde". That one won't be out until february though, but I guess you can find samples already now.
  18. Fair enough that the first couple of pages were posted in march, but if you take a closer look you'll see that the last 6 pages consists of posts made from medio november and up to a few days ago. In other words, most of the people in here have already posted their opinion, and the rest can also do so in the other thread.
