  1. Kompakt is indeed a quality label, bought some great stuff from them the last couple of months. None of which include lyrics (not a big fan of that either). Some stuff may contain vocal samples, but real lyrics is pretty rare as far as I can tell. Some recommendations: SCSI-9 - The Line Of Nine The Orb - Okie Dokie It's The Orb On Kompakt Ferenc - Fraximal Kaito - Hundred Million Lightyears Kaito - Special Life Thomas Fehlmann - Visions Of Blah VA - Kompakt 100
  2. Jake Stephenson definitely had talent, but unfortunately he all too often wasted it on rushed and crappy releases like his Shamanic Tribes On Acid stuff. If I were you I'd stay way clear of this release, and try to track down some stuff by Alien Mutation or Optica instead.
  3. Got some quality ambient today: Ishq - Orchid Elve - Infinite Garden Cell - Phonic Peace VA - Fahrenheit Project Part Two VA - Fahrenheit Project Part Five Susumu Yokota & Rothko - Distant Sounds Of Summer
  4. On the cheesy trance side: CRW - Like A Cat (Tillmann Uhrmacher Mix) eventually Marco Zaffarano Remix if you want it a little techier Classic trance: Mikerobenics - The Cat & The Canary Psy: Ticon - Space Worm vs. Spacecat Ambient: Susumu Yokota - Grinning Cat (album) Eventually track 12 "Flying Cat" Great album btw, shouldn't be missed! Klinik - Cat's Eyes (from the brilliant Dark Surgery) IDM: Russ Gabriel - Pat's Cat Finally, if you like tech-house, check out anything from Nooncat.
  5. You should check out albums from Gabriel Le Mar, who is one of the members of Saafi Bros. His work is pretty similar to that of Saafi. The other member, Michael Kohlbecker's stuff is also worth checking out, especially under the Eternal Basement alias. It's more on the upbeat side though.
  6. Recieved this yesterday: Rod Modell & Michael Mantra - Sonic Continuum
  7. How could you leave out Global Communication??
  8. I just wanted to say that you have great taste in music GSH. That is all.
  9. Joe Hisaishi - Silent Love (Main Theme) Awesome....
  10. Lots of good stuff mentioned here, but the best is still (IMO): Amtrax - Atmoliner
  11. The one and only: Disco Volante - Chameleon (Pixelmorph Mix) (final peak)
  12. Give psy-trance a rest, and listen to some quality techno instead. Artist like Thomas P. Heckmann, Pascal F.E.O.S., Paul Brtschitsch, D. Diggler and CJ Bolland should be able to create some of the same atmosphere. Give it a try!
  13. Absolutely not. I can assure you that Cinos has done more than "making fun". It's possible that I've misread his intention, but that was just the impression I got. The bottom line is nevertheless that I respect the mods decision, and I can't see what you people complain about. Cinos asked for it, and he got what he deserved.
  14. You're not reading what I'm saying. I'm talking about remarks in earlier threads, that you obviously haven't seen. Well, good for you I say.
  15. c'mon mods apologise to the man!! or maybe your ego is too big for that?well be careful, because apparently ego is a reason to get banned here! 490788[/snapback] Yup, according to Cinos there's absolutely no reason for banning him, so that's the undisputable truth! Get real now....
  16. Yeah, this album is probably his best since "Substrata". Extremely chilling atmosphere, and it just has something to it which makes it special. My faourite tracks were "Sherbrooke", and "Birds Flying By...", but there's really no weak points here. Rating: 9/10.
  17. Not that hard to find, is it?
  18. That's up for debate I guess. I've never been a big participant in the off-topic forum, and thus haven't paid much attention to his posts there, but from what I've seen a lot of it has been pretty disturbing. Especially when he talks about his attitude to certain groups of people; poor people, disabled people etc. Plus, he's more or less admitted to being a racist. This may be honest, but frankly, it's not something I'll miss either.
  19. Selling your car is different, because you can't take a copy of it before you sell it, can you? I can't see second hand selling being banned, but I can see the concern, as it's quite easy for people to sell their cds once they've copied it to their harddrive. What I'm trying to say is, that whether you sell your copied cds or download the tunes via p2p is pretty much the same. If you like the music, you shouldn't sell the cd, period.
  20. Yeah, but what about the person who buys the used cd? Unless he could get it used he would've bought a new copy, either way it's two persons who get the same material, while the artist only gets paid for one item.
  21. When I think about it that may be so, but in reality it's no better to do it in this way than to go downloading. The artists lose either way.
