  2. soooo .... I see that not many are hyped by this - I am not sad. I like the forum here with classic functionality and we don't need to hop with the hype -- just be informed that this Banano thing exists and I use my alias "RTP RECORDS" when enqueuing so if you ever drop by on Jungle TV it's likely that that's me. Especially when a lot of S-RANGE is in the queue. Other than that, there are no Psynews projects planned over there and this topic will stay without new posts from me. cheers
  3. Hello people and all lifeforms on here, so we have these "reactions" available to posts since a few years ... the feature seems to be used quite a lot and it seems to be a perk, that the reactions are anonymous: you never know who reacted in which way. This anonymity function is inherent and can not be switched off. (I speculate the reason being that you can not delete a reaction even if you delete an account, so that's why they are anonymous and will always be kept that way.) Some do not like that concept. I have looked into that function and can tell you: it can not be removed entirely. The "Like" will always be available. But all other reactions can be removed. I'd like to make a poll - what to do with it? I identified 3 directions: Shall we keep the reactions as they are now - or screw them and only keep the "like" - or enhance them with something more (that needs icons which need to be custom made or obtained royalty-free). What is your tendency? Thanks for your votes! I will let this stay open a bit and wait for your REACTIONS
  4. Hi yeah, we were a bit understaffed and I had my reasons, feel free to check out the Status thread if you're interested. Back now and cleaned it up quite vigorously (at least what seemed reasonable to me, which was most). It should be better from now on that we have a little people more on the team Thanks at everybody for not letting the drama escalate too much, you handled it reasonably, all of you No, we will not make it a rule that a review needs to include links The links always help the people that are interested - and it is nice to play the embedded video and read the text here, I give you that point. But overall, I still put good writing above all and that's well done by the Doctor here, so: no critics. Cheers!

  7. Yesterday
  8. Hello again, little did I know ... life is super (super!) crazy and turbulent for me these days ... I just wrote that first post, read the first replies, thought a little about what to say - then: boom .... I have been through so much it would fill an entire thread! But I put it short: Two family members in hospital ... still in hospital (it's been months). One of them is my daughter, who came over 3 months early. Second one is my dad. It looked bleak, really bleak and it also affected my psychological health. I recovered, but it was not easy and still is far from it. It's all so easy and shortly said, but I don't wanna spill out all my personal details in a post, I did enough of this in the past and while it would do me good, I do not have the energetic resources to process all the replies ... don't get me wrong, you are all great, but this is something I want to share only little. The situation is definitely a lot better now though and the outlook is positive again So if anybody wondered about admin absence, there you have the reason. Returning to it now though, I am happy that this forum exists and that I can write that here. No, I will not retire Psynews (if Mars keeps the server alive). I will embrace the requests from people who offered mod help and we will continue on, past 2024 and beyond I have a way better outlook now, a new private workplace under construction and I will now finally be able to be here more. And I also have begun to post Videos again on Jungle TV, which is a sign that I am well
  9. Agree completely. For reference of how it could work, perhaps look at https://www.psybient.org/ which has managed to stay going for several years now despite not having a working forum section. I would be happy to help out with this project, either on the technical side (I have a software development background) or by assisting with funding. Like Richpa said, with current Wordpress templates I think there is a lot that can be done with relatively low initial effort.

  11. Wow this is getting really nice. You are getting really good at making everything sound clean and defined. The first version I listened to, the bass sounded way louder than the effects but I just listened to the latest one on your home page and it is much better. Your kick and bass and snares sound great. You're making loads of interesting sound effects but best of all is the lead from 00:53, a really nice Goa melody! And even better from 5:53 as well. I love the wavy bleepy sounds from about 3:42 as well. Keep developing it. I like this best of all your tracks so far. I would keep writing more melodies as well.
  12. First track on the list -> http://ce.sdf.org/ Someone like where I'm going with this? Give some opinions and suggestions. I have done this video for sharing for learning proposes the track in the site is already a newer version and I will keep updating it See the video and give some suggestion to improve Thanks in advance
  13. Already did that, but instead of OpenMPT, I used XMPlay to export the tracks to stems (and of course I did it my way). Also, I didn't do any "mastering" since I want to keep the tracker sound as untouched as possible. The only thing I did was bringing up the tracks to (somewhat) the same level, and used a very gentle master limiter just to keep the tracks from clipping of course.
  14. Thanks and I still keep wondering how I managed to pull off all those tracks back then. And heh, I actually posted in that Ultrabeat thread a decade ago, but as things go, it took me until now to actually get anything done XD
  15. sounds nice! now all you need to do is export each channel as a seperate stem, mix and master it, and it would sound great! i recommend OpenMPT, it can open any tracker file, and quickly export each channel to WAVs. 🀩 https://openmpt.org/
  16. I enjoyed these last couple of tracks and can hear the Hallucinogen influence. It's extra impressive attempting this kind of music in a tracker and your music would have probably equaled or even bettered the music of quite a few on the Ultrabeat site which I used to be a bit obsessed with.

  19. And the end isn't near anymore, instead it's literally here. This is the last track from the collection. It was finished in mid-May 1999, and continues from the gritty aesthetic of the previous track. Very much influenced by The Lone Deranger, this is literally my take on Snakey Shaker from that album, although I'm not sure if that was a deliberate or conscious choice I made when writing this track. Also, the 7/4 time signature in the middle part was definitely inspired by the first Shpongle album (which in itself was quite the revelation to me back then). So in that sense this track is very Posfordian, and I think it's quite a fitting closer for the collection. This track was actually released on the Neogoa compilation Celestial Transvibrations pretty much a decade ago, but the mixdown I sent in had some technical issues (I only realised this after the comp was released) so it was actually missing an entire background melody. So this version is the actual real version of this track. Bandcamp release is a week from now (exactly 25 years after I finished this track) and I'm both excited and absolutely terrified about that πŸ˜…
  20. its always fun to bump a 10+ year old thread and i wish more people did it sadly it sounds distorted as hell and i couldnt find a good sounding youtube. but i have this on cd somewhere and ill try to reupload it with better quality, its a damn good tune edit: just checked the original, sadly its distorted to death also. time to PM the artist

  22. Sadly always in the shadow of artifact303. (because of the obvious similarities) But this is a great album one of the better albums in the neo goa genre.
