  2. @Astralprojection, I also think that Time dilation by Pleiadians is one of the best goa trance tracks.
  3. Today
  4. I'm listening to this album right now. Discovering that, like many others, Burn In Noise had some interesting stuff pre 2010 before Full-On went Full-Mainstream with mostly souless nonsense tracks that take you on a journey from nothing to nothing. This track sounds nice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fAmQJxSUIw
  5. I guess if I was being really picky it might sound a tiny bit muffled compared to the most modern Goa productions but I enjoy their sound and I love the high pitched melodies. There is no harshness to my ears. It is fine. I think I like music that sounds old. I adore all of RA's melodies and I like this Egyptian vibe. I don't care if some people find it generic or clichéd as it sounds lovely to me. Incidentally it is not so straightforward trying to sound like ancient Egypt - have a read of this: https://www.jeffbuser.com/egyptian.html Basically there is not one accepted ancient Egyptian musical scale. Khetzal's music is great too but I really feel RA has better storytelling, one of the very best.
  6. I need to give this another listen. I really like their first two albums. Vaccine I don't remember listening to at all because with very few exceptions I dislike what usually gets called indie rock. It seems to me they decided, for some reason, to go a similar route to The Chemical Brothers' Surrender (which I gave away after hearing) or Fatboy Slim's Palookaville. I guess it appeals to Beatles fans. I don't like the Beatles. Then I read about Vaccine Electronic through the narrative that Younger Brother caved into pressure from fans not liking Vaccine, and I must admit this narrative immediately soured my expectations of Vaccine Electronic, because if that is true, it is rarely good when an artist works under duress. So as I began to listen to it, maybe it was those preconceptions that made me think Posford might have been just reluctantly going through the motions of arranging sounds he had done many times before for this one. But on reflection that might be a bit unfair and I think this album deserves a second chance, so I will listen again and try to reevaluate it.

  8. Astral Projection - For all mankind tracks. Very good album
  9. 1. Train is amazing. The first three minutes of Train... That intro makes you feel heading towards something special. All those beautifulds sounds merging together with that sort of "crying" sounds so good. Then the development of the track after the intro is very well put. For me it's a special track. 2. Pound a Rythm is just not for me. Not my style. I've never enjoyed it. 3. Spinning Into Place, is another one I do enjoy, it's one of the dancefloor oriented ones, with great vocals, specially by the end of the track. 4. Night Lead Me Atray it's a 5 for me. Not because it's bad, but a bit generic and souless. 5. Crystalline just doesn't bring anything new. I've heard this a thousand times before. 6. Shine is the darkest track of the album. Nothing special, buy adds a new colour to the album and it's a good track. Thumbs up for this one. 7. Delina Did It it's the most experimental track of the album, mixing different stuff into one track that reminded me a bit of Pink Floyd kind of style with the gitar notes by around minute 4:00. For me, this one should have been put as the closing track of the album. It's was just the perfect closing to the journey. 8. Sonnambula doesn't add anyting relevant, but at minute 3:30 breaks the feeling of closing the album that we had with Delina Did It. It's a transition track that I would have enjoyed more on a different place. In general it's an album with nice tracks that I do enjoy and listen from time to time. Again, special mention to the intro of Train, wich I could listen in a loop for entire days.
  10. better than any astral projection album

    Ra - To Sirius

i guess the reason why this album got so many enthusiastic reviews was the fact that it was released in 2001 and at the time goa trance was dying because otherwise i agree with astralprojection the sound quality is very poor and now it sounds very old the album 9th is so much better
  13. Last week

  15. Still one of the best goa 🥳 Roland jd800 and sh101
  16. That one rare time when ap and mfg made a track and it was some of the best they ever made This track is magical Also the audio quality is amazing for 97, doesn't sound like trash like Ra for example 🥳
  17. On november 28th waveform records offers 6 of it's albums for 'name your price". More info can be found here.
  18. its not a great album. in fact RA has a crappy sound quality. just listen to the highs, sharp annoying and generic boring egyptian-esque melodies. Khetzal did what RA couldnt, in making a proper album of this style. 😅 theres some parts that are allright, but theres at least 3 other artists who did it better, cleaner, and more well produced. sounds very amatuer the sound quality. 😙
  19. very boring album 🥰
  20. Kitrinos

    RA - Unearthly

This album is simply a masterpiece. Words fail... So beautiful, magical... It transports you to transcendental realms. The only thing I don't like much is the cover artwork. But who cares when the music is timeless!
  21. I get like that with a lot of music lately (Not this, though) but I put it more down to my own brain chemistry than anything to do with the actual music! Give it another 7 years and maybe you will love it again. Everything around you is what you create...
  22. Very strange that I used to love this album, and I realized after maybe 7 or 8 years not listening to it, that it didn't age well to my ears. It grew old. Maybe it's finally time to feel that a release from 2012 feels old in 2025... The track I used to love is Ascend, it's still great but I lost those emotions it made me feel back in the day. Anyway, still top quality music, and track No Rain No Water is still beautiful.
  23. I want to review this but I am not sure I can do it justice. Every aspect of it is beautifully and expertly crafted. It is so melodic, so trippy, so atmospheric and so meaningful. I think every single track is at least a 9/10. I stand by my claim that their later downtempo album, Unearthly, is the greatest musical work of all time. This on the other hand definitely makes my top ten of uptempo Goa albums. I am reluctant to award it a full 10/10 but then I cannot really find any obvious fault with it. OK, what the hell then: 10/10
  24. There is one track I rate highly, it's 7. Delina Did It, and a track I do enjoy as well, 8. Sonnambula (with William Orbit). All the tracks before are boring, pompous, sometimes irritating.
  25. Hmm. I think there's a difference if the user himself asks for a comment to be deleted compared to a mod action. But if you feel that way, then sure. Tbh I'm kinda flabbergasted that's your reaction. In fact that's the craziest mod response I've gotten from any mod any forum past 30 years ☺️ I respect it though.
  26. lolololol As you said in another thread: <<Don't just delete messages like that, leave them up. Now Noone in the future will have any idea what was said.>> LMFAO
