Why does noone write here anymore? I think that the first melodies hsould have been repeated a second time in thetracks, because all tracks are lacking the second melody. Also I think that the mastering is not very good for loud listening. It is made very loud so on my Canton GLe 90 it is only good for very quite listeing. Still I will listen to it loud when I have the possibility, when noone is here.

I'm just giving it the first spin. But I agree about the really bad mastering here. Kills a lot of joy right away. I hear clipping, distortion, limp bass, bright tilted wall of sound. How can this be messed up so much?

They did the same thing with Goa Classics Remixed. I guess it sounds “better” on (cheap) Bluetooth earbuds and headphones, which most people use.

I tried it on both Tidal and Deezer - it sounds the same. Hopefully, the vinyl master will be different.

Coincidentally I listened to Goa Classics Remixed again a few weeks ago and I thought the same about the mastering, it is loud and while the music is excellent, the loud sound destroys the album. Same can be said about this new album, loud mastering, it ruins it all unfortunately.

I think the mastering does not ruin the music and I think the basslines are good. I only do not like the kicks a lot, since they are not very good for loud listening. They made the mastering this way with porpuse, because we have the year 2025 and they did not want to sound like in the late 90´s with Another World or like with Amen back in 2003.

Well, I kinda prefer the less harsh 90s mastering lol.

If I EQ in some more midbass,  the basslines are ok.

It's not totally ruining the music true. 

But it's a fatiguing listen.

You don´t have to attack me with "lol". I did not say anything bad to the album and only praised the album. I don´t EQ in any music, since I want to hear t he music with real sound.

Oh boy, I have happily overlooked that thread, not believing ... because, face it, since when are we waiting? Tell me otherwise, it feels almost like 20 years of wait! But now it really is out and I am on the first spin of a few tracks, liking it a lot. I'm not going to open all of this package at once ... I don't believe we will get another one soon  

It feels so good to read here! From the announcement to release comments, the banter about the mastering ... love you all  ... love that we have made it here, all the ones that did. 

After all I've been though lately this feels super super good, I tell you that, balm on my soul 

Himalaya is a very good track.

Damn. The new album isn't good. I'm upset. Sad. But I honestly didn't expect much either. I hoped but, didn't really think it would be good. But I hoped.

sounds like a tin can! its mastered so loud that youtube turns it down making it sound quiet. 

its so pushed to the limits. doesnt feel good on the ears at all! what have they done! meh. who cares anymore. well i do. the music itself might be good but the sound isnt good. oh well. it is what it is. 

heres to hoping it will sound good several years from now. maybe i just dont get it.

I listened to it on my Sny Xperia S10 V with old Sny MDR e948 LP earbuds and it sounds great on full volume. It sounds dynamic and not flat in my opinion.It sounds a bit distorted, but I don´t care about the distortion at all, since it sound dynamic.

Oh, you totally get it, my friend. The sound is overcompressed, pushed well beyond a reasonable level, and it's just pure garbage. Just look at the soundwave graphs.. 😳

I have no idea why they did this. Maybe decades of loud parties damaged their hearing?

The only way to fix this would be for them to release another master with less compression and more dynamic range. But the CDs and vinyls are already printed, I'm afraid.
