Human Centipede?

I've seen it. It's terribad. It's not scary or anything it's just that the whole idea is kinda gross. Human Centipede got nothing on Saw. Saw actually makes me gringe while Centipede I just really dumb. But I got good news for you, there is a sequel coming.

They could have made it more scary if they didn't show so much of the centipede imo.

hmm yes from reading some reviews I suppose it will be just another exploitation movie but still, how can you resist the urge of NOT seeing it when someone posts an image like this?

Human Centipede 1 is OK, a movie balancing between gore and sadistic humour, without being super-explicit. Human Centipede 2 is insane, everything about the movie is just plain wrong...still, they're not as hard to watch as other horror movies such as for example, Martyr, which I consider miles ahead of Human Centipede.

Just watch 'em and you'll see :P

I second that. Martyrs is... well, Martyrs. Simply splendid.

ok just rented the 1st one and I must say that it was pretty damn good. From general reviews I was expecting it to be one of those exploitation movies which is basically a 15-minute short movie with an added 1 hour 15 min of footage where nothing really happens to make it into a feature film (emm... Reservoir Dogs anyone?). But I'm glad to say that this isn't the case here, it is actually quite tense all throughout and IMO it deserves to be up there with some horror classics like Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Hellraiser. Of course, in the end it's a low-budget horror movie and it shows, don't expect it to be some timeless masterpiece or anything, still, for what it is, it's pretty good IMO. Now I'm off to rent the sequel ;)

Human Centipede 2: Whereas the first one was a good "typical" horror movie, this one really takes gore to a new level! Very often, horror movies are presented as incredibly shocking yet they always come short of really shocking the audience (except for 12 year-old girl scouts that is). The problem being that, even though the audience expects something "sick", people rarely want to go the full way and see something really disgusting like a mother squashing her newborn child or a girl being anally raped by a fat midget. Yet you get all of this here. So for once, a movie presented to be the most shocking ever actually is, well ok, I'd also have to mention Salo's 120 Days Of Sodom in here since it's the only movie that comes close to this level of gruesomeness. But for fans of "gore" praising Cannibal Holocaust or Ichi the Killer and such, that is nothing compared to this.

I never really got in to gore movies, well maybe Ichi the Killer, but that it also because of the Japanese weirdness factor. Just looking at nasty horrid stuff really doesn't give me anything. I prefer "normal" or more psychological horror movies as i.e. The Shining, Drag me to Hell.. well and also the ones with a fun-twist like Evil Dead II (awesome!!) :D

+100

All the torture porn in horror movies just seems like a way for people with no creative ideas or interesting story to tell to kid their audiences that they're pushing some kind of boundaries. Those boundaries aren't worth pushing.

Didn't work for me... the actors sort of pissed me of, bloody annoying, and too much suspense in the the tedious way, well for me anyways...

Either it works or it doesn't I suppose. It scared the shit out of me.
