Ehh. Well, the production is good, but the track is very repetive IMHO - more melodies! More twists & turns and more fart noises! Or, perhaps not more melodies, but more variation of the existing ones.

Still, I have to admit Frog Machine is great.

The Gathering is basically IM trying to emulate Hallucinogen. It's good, but not original or perfect. BP Empire, however, was completely original AND immersive. You do the math. Or you could be going senile already.

ACCORDING TO MY TASTE the Hypnorhythm EP is mediocre, or bad. That's why I don't have it anymore. Helium, however, is a freaking masterpiece... Trashish just owns.

I prefer this: Info Includes previously mentioned CD + the first Trust in Trance. Another classic, my recommendation. Easily the best Transwave, now I can see why people worship them so much... previously I had only heard Hypnorhythm EP and thought of Transwave as mediocre... this changed it all!: Info More Info

The Gathering was IM before they fully blossomed in Classical and especially BP Empire. BP has to be one of the best psy records ever, it's deep and dancable at the same time.

Personally I much prefer CDs.

But Astrix isn't hardcore or techno.

I wouldn't be suprised if none of you here have heard of this great duo. Nobody on TranceAddict has anyway. The make really spellbinding ethnic/ambient, which I think everybody should hear. Get their album "Second Wave". Also, Greg Hunter from the Orb is in it. This is, IMHO, his best project. Free and possibly legal downloadable track by said artist here. Don't listen to it if you can't get the album, you'll shoot yourself!

Since dmtree has such weird opinions, I'm forced to do a similar list: The Gathering was good Classical was good BP Empire was amazing Converting Vegetarians was mediocre That's more like it.

And while MWNN might be goa, linking to that guide only shows excessive stupidity.

First track yes, maybe. First album no.

It's not bad, it's not good - but utterly average. They can do better, I know that.

Well, ignorance is, as they say, bliss. I'm not going to press the issue of the samples futher, as I've already stated my opinion. But I'm just going to ask: Isn't anybody else annoyed by an artist blatantly saying he "did something better" than another? As on topic, I completely forgot about Ott! Jack's Cheese and Bread Snack Splitting An Atom Spannered In Pilton Smoked Glass and Chrome Are all excellent ambient moments. Splitting an atom also shows us an example of perfect sample usage. (hint, hint! )

Now come on, *entering part about personal taste* those damn vocals fit the grand Shpongle track much better than your generic ambient one (but this might be because I heard the Shpongle track first... ). I simply cannot imagine them being used better. Can't. Ever.

Now that is just so damn pretentious. At least post under an alias damnit! There's nothing more annoying than an artist saying something like that. "I'm better than that artist, I did it better" etc. Those who say Shpongle do not use the vocals well in Tea Daze 1) Haven't listened to it. 2) Don't have ears. 3) Aren't honest. And don't tell me that reasoning isn't annoying.

Now come on, your opinion hardly is objective eh? I might listen to your tracks some more, but at first listen they certainly sound all the same.

Some remastering is good, as it clears up the muddy production. Some is bad, because it makes the production too sharp.
