Now I'm paranoid about my CDs being copies. Like Juno Reactor - Luciana which I just ordered... what if it's a bootleg? Or my copy of IFO? Or Transmissions? How can I tell? Tell me!
-
I'm just being kind to the poor ones who need reviews.
-
Even if it's true, I don't think they would make trance CD bootlegs. It's a minor profit, compared to, say, Beatles CDs.
-
You CAN feel and see the difference between originals & bootlegs. Especially on the CD, but also on the cover. It's hard to copy it perfectly.
-
I just ordered this. I can't believe I saw it first! And yeah. This kind of punches my principles in the balls, (i usually don't buy music only for collecting) but with Shpongle & Juno Reactor I make an exception.

I hate metal. But this album isn't NEAR metal. You're just confused. And besides, complaining about metal is not going to get you anywhere, it obviously has musical qualities as well, I just don't like it. I mean this verrry far from metal. This is pretentious, yes, but Juno manage to pull it off. Infantile my ass. I can't be arsed to continue this discussion. You're very much alone with that opinion. And I really don't think you're the one who's correct on this matter.

Actually I like that "Tuning" cover. I mean, look at the background! It's nice, damnit. (I like everything currently... I managed to order a super-rare CD from a certain online auctions site! bwahahaaha! it starts with an L )

This quite OK. The beginning is repetive, but towards the end it gets better and better, and while being a bit long, it'd fit along well on a generic full-on compliation. What to improve... more changes and twists in the beginning, I'd say. Perhaps a sample or two.

To any1 that would like their tracks reviewed

Word! Reviewing is a two-way street. Perhaps this topic should be stickied? -
The first track you posted is a bit repetive, and not really to my taste. But I could imagine other people liking it... it's quite professionally made.
-
HERE Come on people, there are lots of good tracks there... review them! Just a few comments is enough, after all, you're helping the artists of the future to develop their style. Go go go! (my personal faves are Psypepper - freespeech and Ga2pir's track SonicWaltz! Don't miss my tracks either, even though they are mediocre. )

shakri -new psy trance track

This is also good. The melody somewhere around 2.50, or 2.40 is a bit high though... it hurts my ears. Otherwise this is just as good as most of the stuff in the same genre. -
Hmmz. This is good. Everything fits together well. While I probably won't listen to this again, the quality is evident, and the part at 3.05 or so is verrrrry verrry nice. A bit videogamish, but veeeery nice. Actually I am probably listening to it again. Thumbs up!

Thanks. What do you think I can improve?
-
Choose Crunchy Dreams I think I've managed to make real goa now. I THINK. Comments please.
-
When I heard those "ooh oooh" samples, I thought they fit perfectly in the mood. I guess this proves our tastes are completely different.
-
They FIT PERFECTLY. Where are your ears? Everything Shpongle uses fits perfectly! Along with Juno Reactor they are one of the few to accomplish such a feat. Give me one example of a specific Shpongle moment where the samples do not fit.
-
And then you people look down at me when I say Pleiadians are just OK. Bad use of samples? Bad bad bad mediocre? SHUT UP!
-
NOT innovative? This album combines tribal, psy and orchestral with stunning results. It shows signs of a musical genius rivaling that of the old classical producers. Like C II, where every tribal grunt complements the other, and boosts the song to incredible levels, where the drums conjure up some sort of primeval atmosphere that simply forces your body to move along... Or like Zwara, which emulates some age-old ceremony, with people going deeper and deeper into trance. The vocals are just first-class. And Navras... words are not reqiured. This album is one of the best I've ever heard. Just buy and don't listen to those who can't understand it. Previously I also said: (though I can agree that war dogs & giant are a bit dull ) But now they have grown on me and I like both.
-
Tribal, orchestral goa. And Shpongle.
-
Actually that Scorpions one is rather stylistic.
-
Shpongle shows me different worlds. I just listened to their second CD again, and it's pure bliss. I am actually guessing the frequencies activate some endorphine transmitters in my head. Their music really RESONATES within me... I can just close my eyes and drift along, floating. And I love that feeling. I actually got sad while reading this post. Everybody should be able to experiences the Shpongled goodness. That's about how I felt about Saafi Brothers - Mystic Cigarettes.

Yeah, fight. And it's not like I'm buying anything of Ebay anyway.
