  1. wow i had to read that a few times. i thought this was a joke. similar to what someone else said, this indicates we a waaaayyy too artificial life. makes me feel sad honestly, seems like so many people have lost interest in nature without adding 10 000 watts to it. seems like every event claims to be "unlike any other experience" there are probably twenty or so recycled quotes for 90% of events "spiritual awakening" i keep thinking of "the man who synergized east and west" uh....... yeah. from a friend= "went to this party last weekend, Terrible music, danced all weekend long to just the worst music ever" heheh, sometimes it just don't matter. The Muses Rapt made a great comment i can't quote exactly, but "the trance and electronic music it is very good because it has no language so all people can enjoy it together" fairly obvious even then i guess, still nice. another kox box quote would be the sound byte "the music of the future .. isn't music"
  2. uh how to put this into sarcastic comedy- i don't think i can. some of the supposedly most open, smiling , friendly, all kind and psytranced out people still use that word in the worst way possible, directed in anger at their supposed friends behind their backs, and claim it's no big deal. disgusting. anyway can we get back to how badly those two guys need a pounding? Where are their girlfriends (boyfriends?) on this ? Are these guys this far gone with stars in their eyes that this photo was THeir idea? and if not how are they and friends so lame as to let them do this? fear the ring i think i heard that is the new album title fear the ring while my passive buddy looks thoughtful. 139 days four hours six times i will throw up./ nothing about that picture/ad says psytrance to me. maybe drum and bass but really if i saw a record cover with that on it i would think "really crappy garage metal"
  3. ok- first, the sight of those two in that photo - WOW did i burst out laughing. gay? that's an insult to gay people! even considering the debate over usage, NO we need a much more horrifying term for these clowns. UH........ EUROTRASH comes to mind for one! (heheheh) this is pretty sad because i still listen to Astral nearly daily, but i have a bad feeling they stopped making stuff worth listening to a longggg time ago. FEAR THE RING! FEEL THE POWER! uh, yeah ok whatever you're a couple of euro clowns with long hair. (yeah i know they're Israeli but euro sounds funnier to me) ARGH- looking at that picture again, i really want to punch that guy with the ring. Get that thing out of my face you short little moron
  4. Brandon- you rock, thanks!!!!! i'm sure one or all of those is it (assuming some of those are the same track on different albums) i will hunt them down
  5. magna? or magma i dunno what the name is exactly would love it if one of you did. tessaract label? sucks it is one of my favorites passed to me by a great friend but he passed away so i can't find out what it is for sure. still listen to it all the time. really old early psy sort of sound
  6. yer doing it wrong, with lame people if that's the case. but in terms of music- it's weird for me, that holds true about half the time. I can't say why or which tracks but some I can here a million times, the rest, like you said - really cool the first time , after that start to lose interest. The odd thing is how some really awesome tracks stop doing it for me after one or two plays while others never get tired to me
  7. as far as that part of the scenario, here in SF area i have never seen anything other than what's described above. other types of clubs and parties have that "did you bump into me" crap, not usually psytrance. More like people give you a little hug or push when you're in their way, and you move, maybe say hello. i brought one of those type idiots to a party once, before we went in he starts telling me how "he doesn't look for trouble but it finds him" i explained to him it was NOT going to happen and he better just be a freaking human being and NOT need to fight people for bumping into him, etc. dude had the time of his life, no troubles. i kind of am one of those scary dudes who people feel like they have to apologize to when they bump me, i always smile, half the time don't even turn to look who bumped me. Who the heck gets in a huge tight dancing crowd and doesn't expect to get bumped?
  8. occasionally i get bugged by breaks in the wrong spot weird up or down pitch changes at stupid times yeah sometimes i even notice things like "artist turned the wrong knob there" especially when anything approaches white noise, but i doubt i am ever picking things apart to the degree of original poster other than that, it's either good or it isn't. djs can be frustrating with their choice of break placement and track selection, but for the most part the ones i've seen do a fair to great job so i have no complaint when it's good, i fully enjoy
  9. oh , ok so they are like an agent. i'll check the link and see who all they have out of curiosity, thanks
  10. anyone know who the heck Triskele Managment is and why they exist? i still get dumb emails from them, latest was total comedy- PSYNINA -they thought it was important to email me that the cd is out now seems like they send a lot of emails about artists but they aren't a label, doesn't make much sense. do any of you even know of them? i've been getting these emails for like 8 years so i am starting to wonder a little, especially since every time i mark it as junk it finds its way back into my regular inbox.
  11. wow these are all SF people Penta Ghreg on Earth Mubali Fractal Cowboys Quasar except Quasar is one half of the Fractal Cowboys - oh i guess he does have one album solo? i think i have it- it is serious headbanging noise i think. WAIT- got it here, lemme listen real quick yeah, not bad, very heavy beats. yep, it is not making me want to turn it off, nice stuff. about to turn it up! the Ghreg stuff i have is pretty old, (somebody gave me his first pre release) not bad but i thought it wasn't that dark. have to imagine he is though, he told me his main influences before psy were heavy metal type stuff i dunno what folks think of these guys but one with a few dark tracks i like DARK SOHO
  12. what does that mean ?? you can;t possibly be saying you don't know what it sounds like...??
  13. took awhile to get going, but yeah that is the stuff, that's what i remember hearing and thinking this is where music is going. UC Berkeley (college) radio used to have a show that played this and similar music. MAN- what are some other tracks by these guys, there is another one with very similar falling keys sounds i used to have on a tape. wow, this is great, thanks
  14. that one looks pretty cool. I have to admit after messing with the new Milkdrop, and having problems with the latest g force, Milkdrop has come a lonnnng way, and is now if not the equivalent, possibly better than g force. some difference in colors that would be a matter of opinion, but the overall function is so similar...
  15. HEY- how is the music?? a few years ago i bought The Inner Light, which was ok, a few really good tracks. i was pretty happy since i had no idea what i was buying, and i have only bought like 6 cds. The Bright Light - you are liking it?? also, is this only the 2nd sesto album? funny how the title is almost the same, this guy likes light i guess
  16. what the hell are you smoking!!??? (haha, hope it is a s good as what im smoking) no , I didn't go through all 47 pp. I just went through a few of them. but yeah add this to the the list of plus one posts
  17. pretty cool to go through this and see how close (or beyond 3000) people are two years later
  18. nice!- you can also get free dns service (what points your name to a site) here- granite canyon which will also show you cheap ways to get a domain name. RIK-- does psygarden require people to have a domain name? or could they just have their site at say hosting.psygarden.be/idiotfrompsynews ?
  19. FLAC is nice. i got a full album (Hendrix) - not sure what the reghular disc size was but as a FLAC it was 278 Mb -and includes all cd artwork/ pages
  20. argh! my stupid set up wont accept that latest version at all, but that is my backwards hardware. i dunno, maybe they are slipping over there, i had to go back to version 2.7 to get it to work, but agian i have a weird video card/motherboard config. the only thing i can think of is make sure the soundcard record settings (in wherever the controls for your soundcard are, could be one or two places) - are set to wav or everything and not mic or something like that
  21. there are a few. g force does use 3d hardware LAVA or Oozic or whatever the heck they call it now- kind of interesting. different 3d scenes that move around, some were cool some weren't. one that was kinda hokey in overall function but a very cool idea was cyberdiva, a six armed woman who danced and rotated to the music. it was a Creative bundled proggy, i dunno what happened to its engine - that one looks great also
  22. G Force. better. Ack! the newer milkdrop does look pretty darn good, wow. that's what i get for not looking in a few years. pretty much the same as g force, but with newer graphics, very nice! now i don't know what he newest g force looks like either, getting it now, but the full version isnt free. g force if you want ot see their site, the full vers. is stand alone, extremely useful.
  23. OK while i admit if faced with an ultimatum, at least you can still dance to the track between wrecks, crappy music just plain sucks. BUT (i don't exactly boycott parties, but the above is TOO TRUE worse, the elitists who "have to let him spin, he's old school" get over it. some people suck and should have quit years ago. my favorite is going to the super cool elite party - and because of lame politics we're all stuck listening to absolute crap house for the first two hours- and then on to guy playing the same set for the last 15 years. too often the lineup is about who you know rather than what/ how well you dj
  24. yep. depending on the party, they do. helps them feel bigger. ANYWAY prefer mixing over track selection?? one doesn't do very well without the other, and i guess that sucks if you aren't seeing GOOD djs who can do both.
