  1. SPOILER ALERT for season 3 in one of the song titles!

I totally feel like running around the town with a battle axe, chopping down branches n'shit! :D

I recommend you to listen some of their albums if you like such music.

  2. Sun gazing?! And you actually believe that hoax about the yogi? Our bodies are actually very simple. Gluconeogenesis would have allowed him to live for two-three weeks maybe, but his heart would stop soon after that. Its all based on him saying so, and the so called experiments they supposedly preformed with him are extremely unethical so I doubt that they were even allowed to preform them, thus- no proof whatsoever. Its like talking about alchemy in a chemistry class, I mean c'mon. If you believe that out of religious reasons, fine, but lets not use superstition as arguments.

As for your diet @technosomy, I totally agree with you and its awesome you base your diet like that. I too would buy organic meat, but I would mind paying more since, well... I cant!

  3. Here I am, standing by the window and overdosed on coffee, looking at the crazy storm that's raging outside when Talamasca's "Jungle Storm" starts playing on my pc. That track is one of the first psytrance tracks I heard a year ago, but have since forgotten it. Wow...! It sounds so special to me. When the long anticipated climax came, the thunderbolts also started soaring through the sky. What an amazing experience this was!

The little things in life... Have a great day/night everyone! :)

  4. No body said its man made and its common knowledge that it happened many times already, but we did accelerate it to the point its dangerous for our survival. Too lazy to google at what pace it happened in history, but Im pretty sure it didnt go as quickly as it is now.

And we can live without eating? Wow, they dont teach us THAT in med school

  5. This is such a grower! First two times I listened to the Auryn I didnt like it at all. Now Im listening to the live set and ho my god this is so good! Maybe the unreleased tracks sound diffrent, but yeah, Luis, I'm totally digging this! Great work! :)

  6. 1: The World Beyond (Neogoa Records) !!!
    2: V/A - Aurora Sidera (Suntrip Records) !
3: Lunar Dawn - Kolovrat (Neo Goa Records)
4: Denshi Danshi - Fluid Dynamics (Suntrip Records) !!
    5: 01-N - Acid Experiments (Timewarp Records)
6: The Mystery Of Crystal Worlds (Global Sect Music)
7: M-Run - Some Run Just For Fun
8: Proxeeus - At The Mountain of Madness !!
    9: Mindsphere - Inner Cyclone
    10: Portamento - The Portal !
    11: Erta Ale
12: Ephedra - Journey Through My Head !
    13: Temple of Chaos !

These are the best neogoa albums IMO. If you dont get the WOW kick in the head for any of these, even though some sound oldschool-ish, neogoa isnt for you. :)

  7. yes please! what we love about our temperate zones is certainly not the bad (=cold) weather.

i do think one of the main reasons why no one is acting on climate change is that the temperate areas mainly profit from climate change (longer growth period -> more crop yield; shorter winter -> less energy needed for heating -> better air quality, ...).

While what you said is true I don't think we should be happy about that. Plants and animals that live in the sea dont tolerate the rise of water temperature. Many species are going extinct and its only going to get exponentially worse with time. And when a species goes extinct, so does the the one that feeds on it and so on. Not even we are going to be able to deal with that cascading shit storm. Not sure if we can even do something about it at this point...

  8. A few days ago I listened to Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of The Moon" and was absolutely baffled so I checked out more of their earlier albums like " A Saucerfull of Secrets" and "The Piper At The Gates of Dawn".

I have never heard such music! Some parts even reminded me of our beloved psytrance. :)

Anyway my question is if there are any other bands that make such music? I know just for Funkadelic... Oh and do you by any chance know a artists that makes such beautiful guitar solo music like the "Maggot Brain"?

    Thanks :)

  9. My absolute favorites are Steins Gate and Clannad & Clannad After Story. Steins gate is for me the best all-rounder. Action, mystery, drama, romance, good story and so on... And Clannad..... That anime made me weep so many times! I was completely emotionally wrecked after finishing it. I bet no one can say he/she didnt shed a tear while watching it!

I also like Mushishi, Samurai Champloo and Blue Gender. Blue Gender cause its the first anime I watched when I was like 6 or 7 years old. I was traumatized to say the least. :P

  10. Merr0ws track is practically comparable with Pleiadians - Maia. The first time you actually understand the magnificence of Maia, it engulfs you, it's non-stop power sweeping through your body, taking you to another place and time seems to stop for that brief moment the track plays and when the final climax arrives everything you were and should be thinking about ceases existing and there's only you and another universe. The difference is Pleiadians - Maia is an outer space, otherworldy trip, while Merr0w - Citrus Circus is more poseidon-atlantis oriented in it's thematic style. It is grand, epic and feels authentic. Whenever the last climax hits I feel like I'm in a square tunnel that gets engulfed with water that's forced through the vast openness of the tunnel. It literally does exactly what Maia's ending does. I feel transcended elsewhere. I have probably listened to Citrus Circus around 4-5 times when I have been jogging/running and everytime it starts, the bassline is just right and keeps me going and whenever the climax hits, I feel like there is no limit to how fast and how far I can go. Granted the very segment that allows this does not last too long, but it's still one of the most powerful things I have ever witnessed. Not many songs are able to do this to me.

    Truly a masterpiece.

Penzoline you have said it! I havent been amazed by a single track for a long time and Maia being one of my favorite of them all! Merr0w did an amazing job on that track. Love it!

  11. It totally happens to me too. Put on an album I never previously heard, and start playing a game ( Rome II Total War atm) and them some badass track comes along and I be like "Holy fucking shit this is some good stuff!". But Im too lazy to alt+tab the game so I have to search for the track later. Happens at least twice a day!

  12. Yes. There are no morals for me but of course i believe that there are for others, dont have to believe really, its right in front of me. Does that mean that I rape women or kill people? No. I simply dont do that because I dont have a need to. Not because its made into a law that "Murder and rape is an EVIL thing to do!". if someone threatened my life, I would kill him, atleast I would try. Wouldnt you? So murder on its own doesnt have to be something you dont want to do.

Doubt you would be so optimistic if you were one of the refugees that was fleeing because a human with a brilliant brain that kills in the name of a god is pointing a gun at him. The world is not as happy as you think. Depends where you live. Here in Serbia there are so many miserable and poor people.

Im not purely melancholic and destructive as I may seem from writting this. I do have a big problem with the way society works however.

Predators hunt for food, not for entertainment like humans do nowadays. So the predators that you are describing are we.

Dont call me a pessimist and try and read between the lines. I enjoy life as much as I can. Going to see X-dream live in Belgrade tonight actually. :) And I value all the cool stuff that humans do, but they do not outweigh the negatives. And being aware of that doesnt make one a pessimist.

Sorry for deraling the topic Starkraver.

  13. Eating meat is healthy but so is eating plants, fruits and other sources of protein. In fact, numerous studies have shown that vegetarians live longer than meat eaters. So clearly eating meat is not required for a healthy lifestyle.

Nietzsche would have laughed at the argument that if our animal brains tell us to eat animals, there must be something right about doing it. He would also mock the idea that because animals eat each other, then we should eat them too. Since when have we based our morality on animals? Last time I checked the animal kingdom is a dark place with rapes, suffering, mutilation and murder happening every minute. What makes us human is our ability to transcend the impulse of the herd and build greater things. We are intelligent reasoning beings, not beasts.

Yes, it does. Let's take your argument about killing a person who can't feel pain: first, I agree that the ability to suffer is obviously not the only criterion otherwise it would be permissible to kill a person who can't feel pain. But think about this. We have brains that are capable of extremely complex simulations of experience, and we often think and worry about our future. If we believed that humans who do not experience pain were morally worthless, that would cause a significant number of people harm and worry; people would be terrified of becoming analgesic (insensitive to pain) because that would then make them targets of murder and exploitation. Clearly this is a ridiculous situation, and that is why we believe in the innate value of human consciousness and experience. Even if somebody does not suffer, they are still a person worthy of rights.

Plants, on the other hand, have no brains or consciousness. They cannot worry about the future or suffer. Eating a plant does not make other plants terrified of being eaten. They may be notionally 'alive' like animals and humans, but their kind of life has virtually nothing to do with what we understand our human life to be. It is stupid to pretend that plants have 'life' like we do - plants do not experience 'life' in any way. Therefore comparing killing a human/animal to killing a plant is beyond ridiculous.

Animals, on the other hand, are much closer to humans than to plants. They become anxious, protect their young, and have complex brains that as are capable as young children's. For instance pigs have been taught to play video games. It is a tragedy that we keep these intelligent creatures in narrow filthy cages, castrate them, and take away their young, before slaughtering them. And it is a common practice that most people in society pay to make happen.

I haven't even started on the environmental impact of factory farming. Cowspiracy talks about that.

When I said that "Animals do it" my point wasnt to say that just because animals do it, its also morally acceptible. My point was to say that there is no morals. For me atleast. Btw I may be very interested in Nietzsches philosophy, but I dont agree with him on everything so I dont get your attempt to use that against me.

Also I used the example with anestesia to just prove a point. Everything you said in that paragraph I also feel for plants.

We are capable of great and complex thoughts, but tell me this... What have we done with it? Look at the history. LOOK at what we have done with our complex brains that are, o, so high and mighty. And lets not say "Mmm'yeah but those people are idiots". No no. They are humans with that exact brain. You say animal kingdom is a dark place with rapes, suffering, mutilation and murder? Really? Cause the only real murder, rape, genocide, greed, hatred, hypocrisy and war that I see WE created. Our brains are more imperfect than you think. You think that the fact that we fret about things such as money, our jobs, bills, government and other illusory parts of our fucked up way of living is something to be proud of? We may be capable of great thought, but I also think that humans are the most stupid and fucked up beings of them all.

I simply value all life equally. I dont have that trip of humans and animals being of a higher order than plants. We exist thanks to them. I eat animals, I eat plants. I dont kill unnecessarily. I dont torture. The question now is if you guys that value animals so much more that plants, eat only plants? Or if you are only talking emptily...

 joking I guess. If you think meat is the sole source of protein.

    Check - Ragi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eleusine_coracana)

    Source wiki:

"In southern parts of India, pediatricians recommend finger-millet-based food for infants of six months and above because of its high nutritional content, especially iron and calcium. Home-made ragi malt is a popular infant food."

And its just seeds of one plant. And it applies to adults too.

I know meat is not the sole source of protein. You made a point that we can eat things plants produce without harming them. Most "things" that we can eat without harming a plant is fruits and no, fruits arent exactly rich in proteins. Most vegetables are an integral part of a plant. To my knowledge atleast. Not sure about cereals. Can you get cereals without harnessing the whole plant? I know I would starve to death if I was to base my diet on those. Not saying its impossible but you will definitely lose weight!

  14. Its ecologically a bad thing.

You don't have to kill a plant to survive. They produce enough things for the sake of "to be eaten"

Most plants dont work that way. Mostly we eat their leaves and roots, killing them in the process. You really think that we can survive by just eating their fruit? You would start to starve and your muscles would atrophy VERY quickly since it would be a very unbalanced diet...

  15. But that is not a realistic argument. We all live in abundant consumer cultures where there are many options for eating a healthy diet. None of us live in the woods or alone on an island. We have computers and supermarkets full of 1000s of foods. These days we can easily survive without victimising and exploiting animals. People only continue to eat meat because of tradition and taste. But in years to come people will realize that what we are doing today with animals is terrible. Future generations will be amazed at the scale and horror of the meat industry of today, and will be shocked that so many ordinary people supported it.

First, eating meat is healthy. There is a physiological reason we like meat in the first place (most of us atleast). The same reason we like when something tastes sweet. Its our "animal" brain telling us "Hey, you should eat more of that. It will keep you alive!".

So you are saying that eating meat is morally bad or an evil thing to do even though the animals themselves do the same? No, no its not! I dont know if meat industries torture animals like you seem to think they do, but if they do- yeah I agree. Its a terrible thing. But the act alone of killing an animal for food is not. I would do it myself if there was a need to.

@Celaripo: And that argument that its better to kill a plant than an animal because plants dont feel pain is faulty IMO. Plants don't have pain receptors. Plants have pressure receptors that allow them to know when they're being touched or moved—mechanoreceptors. It's a specific nerve cell. But still I dont think that is reason enough to judge that its fine to kill a plant but its not fine to kill an animal. There is a disease which makes a person unable to feel physical pain. Would you say that it's better to kill that person instead of a "normal" person? If the answer is no, then why is that logic good for plants and animals? Because they are a lesser being? The fact that , we, humans are self conscious and have a more differentiated nervous system doesnt make us a higher being or in this case, it doesnt make plants a lower being.

My philosophy is that its ok to kill an animal, and its ok to kill a plant if its for the purpose of feeding yourself. If you are going to add to the story that killing a being is morally bad, then see it through and starve. But dont live up to it just halfway through thinking "Hey, plants dont feel, its ok to kill them." Its hypocritical...

  16. Yeah I agree. I listened to the albums chronologically and in DoOL you can hear that he matured and got more serious. I see the value of it but personally didnt like it much. Maybe cause I expected that I will get the same formula as before? Will listen to it again.

"Lost In The Wild" seems like a combination of the two worlds. More progression and build up but also there are those explosive moments that you can hear in his earlier albums by which he got famous. Love it!
