  1. so top 3 tracks by your top 3 artists.. * 1. Astral projection 1. Tryptomine dream 2. Dancing galaxy 3, Liquid sun (or Nilaya) 2. Pleiadians 1. BPC -Antidote (Pleiadians Remix) 2. Time Dilation / Zeta Reticuli (Lazy Spiral Remix) 3. Crop Circles - Full mental jackpot (Pleiadians Remix) 3. Hallucinogen 1. Gamma Goblins part 2 2. Fleuro Neuro Sponge 3. Space Pussy * please refrain from spamming youtube links.. It clutters up and kills thread, thank you<3 Also yes its been about a trillion of these topics but who cares? EDIT: typo
  2. I don't think anyone can refute that that track is excellent. It is , by a long shot, their best track. To me, they have a few melodic tracks like that, but nothing quite like it afterall. Brain Forest and the more subtle zebra from the same album are my top 3. The second room from the same album is great too, but overused on so many compilations.. So in short I agree, our own happiness has a spectral and magical sound that hits extremely close to home.
  3. Mwnn - lunar cycle should be an excellent opener for an hour or so niceness to come
  4. yes. It was incredible in the 90s and 00s, but mostly 00s because then it was nearly mainstream is how big it was. Now I'm not so sure but there always used to be plenty of goa in the record shops, it had a very big section in the 90s, 00s and early 10s, now with streaming being more popular it might have reduced. So while it might have died out a little, there still definitely is a scene left.
  5. Damn, even in stockholm In malmö where I come from its not too rare, it has a big goa scene but i live a little higher up atm and its like a ghost town when it comes to goa feel free to pm for a chat
  6. Oh, nice. i work at a second hand shop and I always look out for goa, but ive yet to see a single trance cd. And I worked here about a year now :p seems rare in sweden
  7. Where is he guys and if youre here slap me a message edit. whoppps , mods can you please change the topic from party talk. My bad, didn't mean to post in this forum
  8. I wouldn't say perfect all the way through, there are at least 2 pretty low effort tracks, but most of it is really good. Especially energia magica (top 5 ambient psy ever) and sex drugs and acidtrance.
  9. Bumping for one of the best acidgoa tracks in history Actually no, THE best listening atm to extremely dangerous volume on the akg k712 and its like... I don't know. Superb ear candy. I guess my amp does some things too but still ...... what an insanely good track. i cant believe my ears each time I hear it. Fuck sake.,
  10. Bumping for more awareness of the beautiful artist known as solarforce.
  11. Hello friends, checking in too :)) im hanging in there and then some, so its all full steam ahead for me peace, and much love to all of the psynews community
  12. its like, to me the perfect thing. It could however have been executed with more precision - and the mastering is not something to even talk about, its awful. but the way the kick transcends every part of the mix. You hear it in the hihats, you hear it in the melodies, in the mids, lows, and you barely hear the kick itself. Its so masterfully done, its almost incredible edit: clip is not mine
  13. i also really love the kick on this one. its flawless tbh. man i cant wait for his next LP
  14. dude, i promise you , with all my essence, that miranda herself send me that kick. now, maybe she stole it from cosmosis, but i definitely got it from her.
  15. another one. first pick: Noosphere - Carpe Noctem to me there comes nothing close to this track in terms of pure psychedelia. Padi wonders what is so special about it but there is something about it no other track has. Cant put my finger on it. second pick: hallucinogen - gamma goblins part 2 ( fairly obvious choice) third pick: X-dream - we created our own happiness although its very very hard to pick just 3. I also wanna put Mindfield - Lets get stoned and watch the freaks up there, but I wanted to limit myself to three.
  16. omg paul i love you! that was my favorite kickdrum for a LOOONG time. although i liked the Gnocchi remix version better. back in 1999 and early 2000s this song was in my top 5! the 303 is savage. man i remember when i used to hang on the same community (remember when communities was a thing?) as miranda and we used to chat. she even gave me a kickdrum as a gift. i still have it to this day. here it is: https://files.fm/u/d98xxv9j if you examine it you can see it was given to me in 2006
  17. ok im back with another useless topic. (btw to those who might wonder, no i havent forgotten.) i nominate for first place: Crop Circles - Full mental jackpot (pleiadians remix) (the one off of Lunar Civilisation EP) [ NOT the DAT version, but the Original version. Unfortunately, the kick sounds better on the original compared to the re-mastered DAT version.... :/ sorry draeke you know i love you] 2nd place go to SUN Project - I Feel 3rd place: MFG - Sunshine i didnt wanna make this another "spam youtube links" thread so i just posted the names im sure youre all familiar already
  18. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Project Genesis vibes indeed Artifact303 - Contact is pretty amazing too. It does sound like he used the exact same template as Feelings but just made a new song with it. There are some audible similarites. Love it. I hadnt heard Cydonia - Why before, i think. But I much rather enjoy MFG - why Man, project genesis is a freaking genious album. edit: its also quite rare to have an old school album like Project Genesis have so much sub-bass. The mixing is flawless. it sounds almost like new school (in terms of precise mixing and deep bass)! Just listening to Why now and man, it goes deeep down. But this still sounds a bit better than new school in many aspects, at least those in the digital realm . This album is kinda like the epitome of Analog goodness I should start a new topic the kick on Sunshine is incredible
  19. listening to feelings atm, and its ALMOST ... cheesy. i mean , juuuuust almost. especially the sample " do you feel it " right at the bridge. but then i remember "hey, i like cheesy". i mean im the one who put Spiritual Healing as the top goa track of ALL TIME. and alot of people would put that track the left side of cheesy. but to me, when the cheese works, aka when its done with class, it kinda looses its cheesyness. some tracks are MEANT to be cheesy and thats cool on the dancefloor because youre kind of wasted. But when tracks aim to be classic and unique and they happen to be cheesy is when it falls. Feelings sits right at that edge, right at that peak, when its almost cheesy but still classy enough to not be cheesy. And i guess, that is what New School is all about. Not cheesy but just at the border. Then you have the other side, stuff like Morphic Resonance. That doesnt even bother with coming close to being cheesy. Who needs cheesy melodies anyways. And I respect that fully.. But i guess to summarize my initial thought about this thread is that the epitome is AALMOST cheesy while still not being cheesy. So basically Artifcat303 - Feelings. And im being genereous with the cheesyness on that one, actually i dont think its cheesy at all. I think its pure perfection. But I also think Nova Fractal is in the Top 3 - which most of you seem to disagree with. I mean nova fractal to me is nearly as good as artifact303. I guess i just like when its sitting at the border of cheesy. I always have. I never liked Nitzho though, but I always loved those special "Dancing Galaxy" type of melodies. anyway, sorry about the Essay
  20. ok man, i get it i like morphic resonance too btw, but its not something i would compare to Artifact303 - Feelings or For A Better World, or even Filteria which is somewhat overhyped. I would however compare it to something like Skarma, Liquid Flow, Mindsphere and PsyH Project. (all 4 of which is better than M R to me) But i completely and utterly respect your opinion on the "floating spacey fluff" getting on your nerves A more accurate comparison in my mind, to Morphic Resonance is not found in new school at all. But in more like Toi Doi, MFG, Mindfield, Jaia, and other old school artists. I mean take the two you pasted above.. Thats like straight out of a mix between Toi Doi, MFG and Jaia. Wonderful stuff no doubt. Besides, who doesnt like in-your-face 303??? Excellent stuff there.
  21. well how about this. such a great time for self promotion. i remixed NES - journey to silius stage 2 a few years back. here it is. i still think it sounds pretty cool today.
  22. really paul? thats the epitome of new school? btw im sorry if that sounded judgemental. its not my intention. i always mean well, even though i can come across differently sometimes..
  23. if we are talking Filteria i think for me its Rotate To Vibrate or perhaps the newer sound of The Big Blue / Wormhole. I think its pretty cool we all seem to agree on the bigger things of the genre we love. The small details might be huge for one person and small for another and thats the subjective side of music. Btw, ive listened again to the Psy-H track and I really have not paid it enough attention before. Its wonderful. the key changes are epic its rare to find key changes these days that DOESNT sound cheesy. Filteria - The Big Blue also has incredible key changes. RA though --- not really up there at least in my opinion.
