  1. If just "what music are you listening to right now?" thread was full of answers like these, all'd be as God intended X-Dream / Children Of The Last Generation (rmx)
  2. Sammy Osmo's Schaduw Horizon. Enjoyable chill out electro.
  3. Could be we have a different taste of course, but my guess is you haven't heard Ubar Tmar's Fusion, Jon Cocco? It's an old school gem not to be missed. I'm certain you'd give a few tracks on the album a/a- as we have quite a similar taste and I often agree with your reviews.
  4. Touché! Almost spilled my coffee...
  5. No long review from my part, but I recommend this one. It's different, daring and colorful album. More suited for home listening, althou there are a few guaranteed dancefloor numbers included.
  6. I don't quite agree with the positive reviews. This album left me desiring for more deepness and melodies; ultimately I was rewarded on track #6 'Alpha Beater' which has a great first half, just what I'm looking for in psytrance. Other than that I would not play these tracks out in DJ set. If you're interested in getting this cd, give me a PM.
  7. RIP Michael. Don't know if it's the most appropriate time to say this, but I never liked single one of his tunes, except Alien Ant Farm's take on Smooth Criminal.
  8. Mixed bag, in terms of quality and style. If you're looking for a sequel to the excellent "useless science" you might get dissapointed. Eclectic suomisaundi fans might get something out of this, I myself was not too keen on their experimentations. I would like to draw to a comparison to Eat Static here, as 1) Both are excellent live 2) On this album and on most ES albums you'll find a few killers and then fillers. "Zemel Dance" is the definite highlight here. It's stylistically pure modern psytrance with excellent melodies, continuing the legacy of "vill du ha luft" and the likes from the deput. It's unfortunately one of the two or three true psytracks on "Sir Eel" (can you spot the word play?). My verdict for this release is the usual, "listen before you buy".
  9. The sound texture itself is enjoyable, but the artist fails to bring emotion or harmony in melodies. There's a not whole lot to remember afterwards. It goes well as lounge music if you want something to create atmosphere in the background but don't actually want to listen to the music. Maybe it was never meant to sound soulful such as global communication or likes, but for me this album fails. Feel free to PM if you want to trade it from me.
  10. William Orbit / Water from a Wine Leaf such an ever green track, no?
  11. This is not a hard choice - The Infinity Project.
  12. Kroo, a friendly comment - most people who collect old school rarely pay over 10 euros for any of the items you listed above. Their easy to find just for pennies on auction sites, if one's a little patient.
  13. too short / cocktales great meaningless gangsta hip hop... always works when drunk.
  14. M.M.C. / Secret Weapon
  15. Jeff Mills / Phase 4 This is the definition of bangin' techno.
  16. I found the Burn In Noise album to be average. It has a sort of "settle for less" attitude like a lot of full-on does. these two might make your day thou? manifold / mental suggestion tryambaka / the colour of time and perhaps this older release: psydrop / fantasy seeds manifold / shiva gluk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4mQlawXBxs psydrop / fear and loathing tryambaka / i saw your saw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXwusi9PATw
  17. new the field is out? I'm gonna check this. X-Dream / Electromagnetic
  18. KURO / Plastomer 1 This track always takes me...
  19. I kow both. High kife! track of the day: Etnica / Tribute (to goa)
  20. Well, I call forest psytrance darkpsy. It's the "good darkpsy" if you ask me. And yeah, I chose darkpsy. Most artists in this genre are quite untalented but the best stuff makes up for it. Of course goa is #1 thou.
  21. dub.... Monolake / Cinemascope Monolake / Gravity Round One To Round Five Basic Channel cd 2 Maurizio / M-Series ...techno
  22. mudd / claremont 56 Enjoyable loungey disco and downtempo album...
  23. Here's a few you could try out: Bangkok Impact (Traveller, The Creme Years) Legowelt (Dark Days, Dark Days 2, Vatos Locos) Parallax Corporation (Cocadisco) Juan Atkins (20 Years Metroplex: 1985 - 2005) Dj Stingray (Aqua Team 2) I'm with Rino about Drexciya - that's good Stuff. Danny Wolfers (Legowelt) has quite many aliases you might be interested in, all of them some degree of electro. Hope you find something that suits your taste.
  24. One of the best aussie goa tracks! x-102 / discovers the rings of saturn
