Hi Pietoneduud. Accidentally is the answer. I often read reviews on discogs and this particular Lagowski album had just been reviewed. I haven't bought it yet but it's on my to-buy list. Althou I would like to hear some samples first tbh. I still have teh pants. Haven't used for a while... they lack pockets! I'm a pocket kinda guy.

Hey np. I find there are so many goa frr3aks on this forum a thread like this could turn out to be a gold mine, really. It does indeed. I'll tell my impressions after I've heard it. Never heard. But you got me curious to say the least...
-
Here's one I came across: http://www.discogs.com/Lagowski-Wire-Science/release/118283 It's from 1993 and I've never heard of it. If somebody has, any thoughts you could share?

Endah, take that Ubar Tmar while the offer lasts.

What music are you listening to right now?

The Misted Muppet - Cat Visions Excellent track! -
I added some psychill. have a look.

There's a lot of ambient that's not melodic based. You Bwhale might deem it as 'crap' which is your right, you also have the right not to listen to that stuff. Quite easy when you think of it!

the misted muppet / cat visions great tune. -
ys. My view is that the characteristics that define full-on are quite narrow - change a couple of things in the track and it's considered something else. And the audiotextural qualities of full-on are just not of psychedelic type, more of a mass appeal type. As a long time psytrance listener this genre is just dull to put it short. Full-on has in my opinion zero "standard" or "general" qualities that I'd say can't be found better/deeper made in other subgenres - on melody department the new/old school goa has the edge easily, and on the fx trickery side there's darkpsy. End of rant! e. here are my recommendations: koxbox - u-turn the misted muppet - from the legend scatterbrain - infernal angel tryambaka - the colour of time

I think the holy grail of suomisaundi is and will be Texas Faggott's Petomans Peflett. If you compare to that, the sound has changed indeed. In Texas Faggott's case for the worse... but not all artists have gone downhill; for example I found Squaremeat (nowadays it's called 'Squarefeet' btw) deput to be weak and they're gazillion times better on their new tracks such as 'Mankeli' and 'Golden Accordion', excellent goa-nish "full-on", yet firmly suomisaundi. I find the new more dancefloor oriented suomi welcomed, and if you really want that old school type of suomi it's still around... you just gotta dig deeper.

Suomisaundi is excellent, one of the positive sides to living in Funland. We have a sort of "share for free" and "fuck the sound quality" culture here - lots of free releases with so and so mastering to be found. The officially released suomisaundi is of good sound quality thou, usually. Some officially released goods: Texas Faggott / Petomans Peflett EvsY / Virtuosi Di Quosi Haltya / Forest Flavour Outolintu / Odd Man Out va / No Tone Unstirred va / Hectic Dialect Squaremeat / Jungle Boogie Party Line va / Custom File

If just "what music are you listening to right now?" thread was full of answers like these, all'd be as God intended X-Dream / Children Of The Last Generation (rmx)

Sammy Osmo's Schaduw Horizon. Enjoyable chill out electro. -
Could be we have a different taste of course, but my guess is you haven't heard Ubar Tmar's Fusion, Jon Cocco? It's an old school gem not to be missed. I'm certain you'd give a few tracks on the album a/a- as we have quite a similar taste and I often agree with your reviews.

Touché! Almost spilled my coffee...

No long review from my part, but I recommend this one. It's different, daring and colorful album. More suited for home listening, althou there are a few guaranteed dancefloor numbers included.
-
I don't quite agree with the positive reviews. This album left me desiring for more deepness and melodies; ultimately I was rewarded on track #6 'Alpha Beater' which has a great first half, just what I'm looking for in psytrance. Other than that I would not play these tracks out in DJ set. If you're interested in getting this cd, give me a PM.

RIP Michael. Don't know if it's the most appropriate time to say this, but I never liked single one of his tunes, except Alien Ant Farm's take on Smooth Criminal.

Mixed bag, in terms of quality and style. If you're looking for a sequel to the excellent "useless science" you might get dissapointed. Eclectic suomisaundi fans might get something out of this, I myself was not too keen on their experimentations. I would like to draw to a comparison to Eat Static here, as 1) Both are excellent live 2) On this album and on most ES albums you'll find a few killers and then fillers. "Zemel Dance" is the definite highlight here. It's stylistically pure modern psytrance with excellent melodies, continuing the legacy of "vill du ha luft" and the likes from the deput. It's unfortunately one of the two or three true psytracks on "Sir Eel" (can you spot the word play?). My verdict for this release is the usual, "listen before you buy".

The sound texture itself is enjoyable, but the artist fails to bring emotion or harmony in melodies. There's a not whole lot to remember afterwards. It goes well as lounge music if you want something to create atmosphere in the background but don't actually want to listen to the music. Maybe it was never meant to sound soulful such as global communication or likes, but for me this album fails. Feel free to PM if you want to trade it from me.

William Orbit / Water from a Wine Leaf such an ever green track, no? -
This is not a hard choice - The Infinity Project.
-
Kroo, a friendly comment - most people who collect old school rarely pay over 10 euros for any of the items you listed above. Their easy to find just for pennies on auction sites, if one's a little patient.
