Awesome album!!! Didn't think too much of it and notice the subtleties when i got this way back.. dunno why...but just today i decided to give it another try (i dont know how u-recken came to my mind anyways) ; I was blown by The lucid dream and then i played it from the start and everything just fell into place. the thing that really stands out is that elements melt into one another instead of each one sounding distinct and removed from each other. The beauty comes through over with all elements coming together unanimously as one whole and the distinct effect of bass kick and effects isnt discernible separately . A superb display of very sound music engineering for psychedelic predicaments that is tweaked to exactly whats required to get in into a state of ear orgasm. 10/10

Trinodia - Annunaki

A really good release. Annunaki is an instant favourite. Been playing this in tandem with the artifact303 album which has been pretty much all i have listened to in the last two weeks. Kudos to the artist, UAF and ektoplasm for making this freely available whereas it could have easily been pressed on CD for sale on saikosounds.

Some of those rude jarring mechanical tones can be done away with. barring those , i like this sound much better

Was listening to this release today , reminded me of good old Makyo from Dakini even though the sound is discernibly distinct from Makyo , less eastern , less raga- the mind manifest quotient and ideas arent but im afraid i haven't heard much else from back then. Celtic cross , muses rapt have been overplayed. I'm looking for that sound that doesn't overdo the eastern ethnic theme, remains loopy and beaty, a good example would be the last track from elucidations. Which were the other labels doing chill-out back then? Hoping folks to point me in the right direction. Also regarding Humito : I love his tracks on Elucidations. I did a search couldn't find any albums by him. Seems a bit strange an artist of his caliber doesn't have anything under his belt. Even drum druids (Laughing Buddha doesn't have much (anything?) under this monicker.

Sandman is dark to me too. The end of the world sounds dark as well or light the way you perceive it

The border is hard to define actually. Some people find electrypnose dark and i find him pure morning/light. There are these blurry lines between dark and light that are sometimes hard to put in black and white. Maybe people who don't listen to too much Goa find the music incomprehensible and hence might view it negatively or introspectively indirectly making the music 'dark' for them. At the end of the day dark is an adjective so its very subjective,. It all depends on the person and how he sees the music IMO.

Completely agree. Even though I haven't heard the Psychowave EP I am pretty sure of the fact that Artifact303's album is undoubtedly the best I've heard in the last five years from the Psychedelic genre which includes darkpsy full on and progressive. I like to think of music without labels , not a big fan of genres and sub-genres within the electronic genre myself but its a necessary evil that one has to deal with for sake of reference. Back to Space combines good production with extremely well thought out arrangements and an ear for progression and flow which is the first thing that hits you about this music. The mastering is top notch. Everyone was extremely happy with and praising Artha's album but one thing I felt that lacked was soul. I got bored with that album in two listens wheres artifact's album gripped me with the very first track itself and when that happens one looks forward to the rest of the tracks and then all you hear and see is beauty and creativity surrounding the music. I'm yet to decide whether Back to Space is the best Goa ever released primarily because it is quality music with lots of emotion and soul , combined with modern production and technology.
