  1. Ouch, did they officially stop? that sucks, they had some great releases...
  2. Ouch, that sucks indeed Yeah, but they would destroy your computer also... It's not unlikely a computer crashes you know... i had it more then once :s and we never had an Earthquake, or plane crash here in the mean time, héhé
  3. Well, the thing is... Imagine a total computer crash or something... And you lost everything at once... that wouldn't happen with cds
  4. Well, how can we put a limit on good music? But if I had to burn all the tracks I like very much on cds I would have at least 100 cds, and that amount rises every month... So well, can't agree here either...
  5. Distance To Goa 8, cd 2, very acidic mix, nice! and now back to Ka-Sol - Fairytale, héhé
  6. Hello everyone! Suntrip invites you into another night of melodic trance! For this party we invite following acts: Jaia Silicon Sound Blue Planet Corporation Anoebis And 1 more to be confirmed soon! The party will take place near ANtwerp (easy to reach with public transport) and is for 500 people maximum, so be early to avoid dissapointment! The entrance price will probably be around 12€ If you want any more info, you can always pm me Greetz & Beats Joske
  7. I was always said number 5 was the holy grail because it was not long available because of some dispute between X-Dream and Melodia... Can anyone confirm this? and indeed, there was a shop in Belgium, that closed long ago, which had all trance mixes! And, how dumb was I, didn't buy an extra copy of them back then (I didn't know Melodia was THAT rare back then)... But, I will meet the guy soon again, maybe he has some left, I'll see what I can do And I just won the first of Green Ant - Primitive Dawn So happy me today
  8. Isn't Twisted Travellers Cosmoon? in that case they do exist
  9. I know alot of progressive lovers that liked khetzal because so many tracks are rather downtempo, give it a try, it is rather dreamy and not always too crazy... Else old Elysium will fit your taste for sure, or try the first 2 Nataraja cds
  10. hello everyone! There were already some rumours about Ra (ex member of Dimension 5, and highly appreciated goa act because of his "to sirius" album) making music again! And I can only say this is véry true We decided to work together in the future, and Ra will work on an album now. It looks like it will be ready by autumn/winter! So still some time ahead, but I thought I wanted to share this news with all of you! Also I can assure you his style is still very melodic, emotional and eastern influenced sensitive goa and ambient!
  11. Flamycogire for me... The best climax EVER!
  12. héhé, thanks for the review this was a pile of cds I still had to order "some day", and I did it now, before they become unavailable.. The Z-man was a free one thanks to Saikosounds I hoped an ex-LB member wouldn't dissapoint me, we'll see I had the original Orion release, but I traded it away, I don't really mind to have a "new" version of it, the music is the same you know The finnish cds you couldn't get into are completely my style tho my girlfriend has them all, so I heard them ALOT and I'm sure they are 100% my style, héhé Freakshow it is! Can't wait to get them I also forgot, I also ordered the Samothraki DVD, saw some parts of it on a party and it seemed to be very good!
  13. Lots of very interesting input, I agree mostly with you now. The idea of preparing a set, and play "on the fly" when it doesn't work is a good idea indeed... I do it a little different, I listen to music all the week, and when there are perfect tracks for me, I simply build a set around them on stage I have been playing on parties for 5 years now and played like 140 times; so you are probably right it's more because I have that wide experience it works better... I did it too in the beginning but that didn't work out too good in every set... The reason why I never prepare sets is simply because I did it once 5 years ago, and altough I had the feeling my set was good it didn't go well, the public didn't react etc... and because I had no other tracks with me I was stuck... :s Since that moment I never did it again... But I have to make another thing clear also... I don't think a dj has to play what the dj before him played, but I think you can addapt your first tracks to his style somehow... (for instance, I and Delars played after Talpa last weekend, his music was more full on as we expected... So we started with goa/old school songs that had a harder kick bassline, after that we continued our set with more normal old school tracks) @Vortex: I agree you don't have to play what you don't want to play But if you play behind an old school dj for instance, and you have to play suomi I think it's better to start with some James Reipas or Huopatossu Mononen or something
  14. What Colin said is so right, I know lots of artists that put SO much efford in their music, and I think they should get paid correctly only thing is... What is affordable in this scene? I'm afraid not so much unfortunately, and that is the problem, low cd sales = low income for artists and labels so a non floroushing cd market... This is a negative spiral... But still I am happy that there are so many artists putting so much efford in their music! And instead of having so much criticism we should be happy they are doing this for us!
  15. héhé, we already had this discussion on the Belgian forum... I do not agree that the best sets are persé the ones that were made at home... It IS true that those sets will be technically speaking better, but I think you can sometimes miss a spot for 2 reasons, which are more important then just the technical side (as 96% of people don't even notice that): -you may not fit into the party as you wished (for instance, the guy before you played psy-tekk instead of full on as you expected), I think it's better then to start with a track that fits his style more, and like that you can build to your own style... -if you see that your set is not really a good one for that party... (you know, it sometimes happens that a set is not really appreciated)... if you made a set at home you are stuck, and can't change it... While when you are doing it at the place itselve you can still change your direction a bit, like that you have better live storytelling and better interaction with the public I think just my opinion of course but it are 2 different ways of thinking
  16. My personal idea... A personal supforum for every year, starting from 95
  17. Try the LSD release "East of the river ganges", I'm not too mad about dub, but that cd has a very nice feeling
  18. Trans'pact for me for sure... Trust in Trance releasing goa (so not the phonokol stuff), old Hom-Mega! and Matsuri... That would be my picks, héhé
  19. The intro of Astral projection's Cosmic Ascension is a mantra too (Ohm Mani Padme Hum), the prayer by Electric Universe starts with the mantra for sacred Krishna food (Prashadam) and I'm forgetting probably 50 tracks right now...
