  1. Yes, Sci Forest fits that category as well
  2. Good point, trance used to be melodic all the time, so ok, next version I will change it to morning... @ Dajek, which artists would you simply call "psychedelic trance"? Isnt there any category they would fit? And The Lone Deranger fits partly in the Typical Goa Trance branche and partly in the Acidic Goa Trance branche (depends on the songs) The same for IFO, partly typical goa trance (Alcyone!!) and partly acidic goa trance (Taygeta!), and the last track is ambient... About "dark trance", I know it is mentioned 2 times, but that's where Dark trance had it's existance of course... And putting it only in dark trance is not enough imo as there were quiet alot of dark goa trance releases (so that Dark old school is really a hard subcategory) @Nick Inzomniac, I'm not really into old school ambient, except for all RTTS releases, so maybe you could help me there, which branches they had back then? What's the difference with todays psychedelic ambient?
  3. Have a look at the experimental branch there is a breakbeat/psy breaks option there
  4. I see what you mean But I would place SS and Protoculture in the "melodic Full On" section and Lish in the "melodic progressive" section, Tri-Force is not really known to me So imagine that the word melodic on the picture is "morning" ps: GMS is for me typical full on, just as CPU But I don't know Full On that well, so maybe I need more branches there... So how would you call them? And what artists make that kind of music?
  5. That I did because "night" and "morning" are very subjective things... I know people that call Derango morning music... while I would call it nightmusic etc... So I called morning music "melodic", as that is the most typical thing with morning music About names, yeah, I was thinking about that too, next version will have one with names instead of covers (but the problem for me with names is: Astral projection for instance... They are goa trance, but now full on... So which section is right?) @Cesar In this mindmap FOR ME (!!) all the artists can be classified (or at least every track can), that's why there is an option "it doesn't fit anywhere"
  6. Here you have a list I made for a friend, with the entire psychedelic trance splitted in branches and sub-genres... So please let me know what you think of it, where you agree or disagree... What you would add/Change, it would be nice to have this kind of mindmap which makes entire psychedelic trance clear for all people Also let me explain I always had "old school" "new" in every genre... The old school simply explains where it came from Ah yes, and one more ps: I know there are many releases which are between 2 genres, you have releases between full on and progressive etc... But it was not possible with that program to add them if you want to see it without the cd-covers: http://img329.imageshack.us/my.php?image=g...derfotos2aj.png

  9. I have been wondering the same... probably it is just because it is not hard to start a label, and everybody thinks "I can do better than you!" So they just start a label... But if you look, many labels only release 1 cd... The large amount of labels are in fact the biggest thread for psy-trance imo... but of course, if many people with "good taste" (according to me) start weird music labels, I would be VERY happy! The problem is, it are mostly full on and progressive labels, while that kind of music is already over-produced... Otherwise, labels as Giiwaa etc give me hope, the more, the better if they release quality music
  10. Ra - To Sirius that was too long ago, I re-discovered the beauty of this album, my God, what a melodic piece of gold!

  18. it depends on which moment
  19. Mind Expanding music (that gives you the feeling as you are in a different galaxy) = psychedelic music... it's simple as that for me (and hmm, music with sounds that make your head go crazy )
  20. I'm not sure if it is funny or a terrible disaster:
  21. ok, this topic is closed at this moment, now it IS bashing for sure, we'll write a serious moderator note here tomorrow when all moderators are awake
  22. and my opinion... Let everyone love what they love... And if they don't like a style, I think it's reasonable to express that, as long as it is in normal words... I'm not sure if the full on bashing is so bad here lately, since Lost Buddha left it was much less bad imo (and my opinion... The good full on releases that fit my taste can be counted on exactly... 1 hand )
  23. hmm, just wanted to say Loopfreaks = EP, so he was here for like 5 years I think
  24. They will release it on Schlab also, but the dark part will be for Schlab, the more melodic for Suntrip, and we are not really commercial, if you look at our sales... We are only commercial at this forum And does it mind by which label music is released? As long music IS released, no?

    6X Track Ids

it is not on any of those (I have all them), but there were some very rare Israeli and Greek comps with more Shidapu tracks... Try them
