  1. Sorry i just saw your post. I'm really loving Cubase 4, i couldn't go back to SX 3 now. I especially love being able to drag inserts & the new channel eq's. This saves me from loading an individual eq plugin just for high/low passing stuff. I mostly make my own drum rhythms using individual audio samples. Sometimes i use background loops from sample cd's or stylus rmx to add to the groove. Haven't really gotten into the Cubase 4 synths yet, as i get plenty of sounds from my Virus TI. The only thing that is bugging me about C4 is that sometimes notes are being dropped at random. This means you have to go back & re-bounce that part again which is a bit tedious. Other than that i love it.
  2. Hey Aaron, I just got into touch with www.audiolot.com & though they're willing to ship internationally they won't mark down the value of the harmonizer to save us from import taxes. It will also take them a few days to have it in their store. I'll order from novamusik instead since you say they have them in stock. Could you let me know if its possible to have it shipped to you? This way you can play around with it then ship it on to me here in pakistan. I guess we should continue this conversation in p.m.
  3. Hey devious, Speaking of eventide harmonizers, i want to get a Eventide H8000FW for a producer friend of mine. Can you recommend any dealers that do international shipments.
  4. That's a shame, really sad to hear this news. Hope you can work out your troubles i'm sure they're only temporary, whenever you have a bad spell it eventually turns around and gets you to new highs. As for releasing your cd maybe you can hand out the mp3's and sell the wav's for a small fee, i'm sure you'll be able to generate some revenue that way without all the overheads of printing & distributing a cd. Good luck!
  5. Yup some dude in china is going to be pleased, he got them for $1000! I am now waiting for these babies to get delivered:
  6. Very nice track dude! I would send this to twisted or ultimae records this is definitely releasable!
  7. Riiigght. I'll let my tunes be the judge of that!
  8. Thanks but no thanks Its not that i can't afford to but the whole point of remixes is that you give out the files & then judge to see who the best remixer is. I'd rather spend this money on buying some good tunes as the track is not really in my taste & the files provided are pretty crap.
  9. Yeah right, who wants to pay to download the shitty remix files. They should hand them out for free like most websites do.
  10. I'm using the Virus TI + Novation Remote SL Zero. I've only recently gotten the SL Zero but the automap feature is great & works perfectly with Cubase 4 for me.
  11. For me 2007 was the worst year for full-on psy since i first got into the scene. I've already decided that if 2008 remains the same i will stop listening to full-on altogether. Surprisingly i wasn't into progressive much before but since the full-on releases were so crap i started listening to progressive & it had lots of good releases. I'm surprised to read Broken Toy's album being mentioned here, i actually thought it was quite decent. Just goes to show how much tastes can differ.
  12. Hey, Thanks for the suggestions. No monitors at present though so i'll work on the tune once i get my new one's.
  13. Started with FL Studio back in 2004 then moved on to Cubase SX two years later. Nowadays i'm using Cubase 4.1.
  14. If snail mail is an option it'll be much cheaper, around $70, but it'll take a lot longer.
  15. Hi, These are located in pakistan, if you want i can find out how much shipping them to your city would cost. EDIT: I just checked & its a bit expensive since they're quite heavy (30kg), it would cost around $160.
  16. Hey, thanks for your comments sammy! Do you mean the pianoish kinda synth that the track kicks off with? I had my doubts about it. Anyway the majority of the tune has been done in one night so it still needs a lot of work. Thanks for listening!
  17. Hey, I'm guessing you're feeling its slow coz it IS slow its 135BPM. I usually write morning full on so i do slower tunes whenever i get sick of faster bpm's. I'd agree that its quite melodic & a bit trancy but that's because i used to be into commercial trance before i discovered psy, i guess its hard to get rid of the roots! Thanks for listening!
  18. Hi guys, I just started a new progressive track & i would like to get some feedback on it. I can't think of a name for it for now so if you have any suggestions for it please feel free! You can stream it here: http://beatbiz.net/player.php?tid=2059
  19. Hey, They're brilliant monitors no doubt but there are mainly two reasons i'm selling them. One i've moved to a much bigger room now & need 3-way monitors, two i've got some money saved up & don't know what else to spend it on! So i'm going to invest in Klein + Hummel O 300's, which is going to set me back $4'000, so selling them will bring back at least a third of their cost. This however will be the last money i spend on my monitors, from here on it will be spent on converters, preamps, synths, acoustic treatments etc etc!
  20. Good price but there's a reason for it, M-Audio suck! Avoid their products at all costs, i speak from personal experience!
  21. Price dropped to $1100. Pictures of the monitors:
  22. Been using a Fireface 400 for quite a while now, it's probably the only thing in my studio that i will never get rid of. Highly recommended! IMO avoid MOTU if you're on PC, too many horror stories out there!
