  1. Hi guys, I'm selling my Dynaudio BM6A MKI monitors. These are active monitors which are critically acclaimed & used by many pro studios & engineers. I'm selling them as i have moved to a bigger room so i'm getting bigger monitors. They are in excellent shape & have been recently imported from europe. I'm selling them for $1100 You can find more information about them here: http://www.dynaudioacoustics.com/Default.a...&AjrNwsPg=1 Some pics:
  2. Hi guys, I'm selling my Dynaudio BM6A monitors for $1100 as i'm moving to a bigger room now. They are in MINT condition & come with all original boxes & packaging. I am in pakistan but will ship worldwide if you pay shipping costs. More details here: http://www.dynaudioacoustics.com/Default.a...&AjrNwsPg=3
  3. Lauryn aren't some of the names you've mentioned Dj's & not producers? Would be interesting to know how many girls are actually producing solely on their own.
  4. Blah blah blah, spend less time bickering & more time making music people!
  5. I agree with what Mike A has said. If you think 99% of the music released is crap why are you even in this scene? Why don't you move on to something that suits your taste better. I agree that there is a lot of crap being released but there are also the occasional gems.
  6. Access Virus TI can do all that vanguard can & much much more! Also you can use it just like a normal vsti, so no midi & audio cables all you need is a usb connection. Otherwise clavia synths are nice if you don't mind using them the 'old fashioned' way.
  7. I've used the BCD2000 & its pretty decent, works quite well with Virtual DJ. Didn't know about the Torq, looks perfect though lets see if it functions as its supposed to.
  8. For that price i would rather get this: http://www.thomann.de/gb/novation_remote_49_sl_compact.htm You get the automap feature (no more assigning midi cc numbers) much better keys & build quality. I would avoid M-audio in general.
  9. getafix just got message in box :D

  10. So how well did the mondotraps help sort out the low end response in your room? Are they worth the money?
  11. 'Dark' Psy definitely, unintelligible monotonous with random noises thrown on top of a static bassline. Though i haven't heard a lot so there might be exceptions. The only dark psy i heard that i liked was Electrypnose & i don't even know if he can be categorized as a dark psy artist..
  12. Well this is how i usually do it..This is just a rough guideline the main idea is to use your ears, if it sounds good its good.. First i make sure the kick is peaking at -8db and both the kick & the bass around -6db.. As for the rest of the elements i usually have a group with my high hats..Another with my snare & other percussion sounds & one for the synth sounds.. Another important thing is to make sure that you're highpassing everything except the kick & the bass..This can vary from 100Hz to 300Hz, again it depends on each sound.. The rest just comes with time, a good idea is to make sure that when you're setting levels & eq'ing your synth sounds you don't solo them but listen to them with all the other elements..Otherwise you might spend ages making it perfect on its own & then when you put the sound with the rest you'll notice it getting drowned out in the mix.. Finally its really important to have good monitoring, my mixing skills really improved once i got a good set of monitors..Before that it was just hit & miss, i had to listen to lots of other sources & go back & correct the mix..With a good set of monitors i pretty much nail the mix the first time round.. Hope this helps..
  13. Thanks for listening and your comments everyone! @ N.I.V.R.A I used CronoX 2 for the bass..
  14. Hey guys, Here's a new tune i'm working on, would like to get some feedback on it. You can stream and download it here: http://beatbiz.net/player.php?tid=1325 Look forward to any comments!
  15. I think at that price these are the best choice, to buy better one's you'd have to pay twice as much, at least 1000euros for say A.D.A.M A7's or Dynaudio BM5A's..
  16. Hey guys, I'm trying to do something other than psy for a change, here's a chillout tune that i started would like to know what you guys think.. Its just one nights work, you can download or stream it here: http://beatbiz.net/player.php?tid=1313 And in case you got time here's another more clubby track kind of a fusion of psytrance & vocal trance. Its slower & more mellow than my usual style..Anyway i'd like to know what you guys think of it, you can download or stream it here: http://beatbiz.net/player.php?tid=1311
  17. Hi, I'm thinking of ordering some acoustic panels from http://www.gikacoustics.com The prices are very reasonable but unfortunately shipping costs are quite high as they're heavy..The more panels you order the cheaper it is for shipping so i'm wondering if anyone here is interested in ordering some for bass trapping in their studio.. If we order 10 boxes between us then the price per box including shipping would be only 200 francs..(One box has 2-3 panels depending on which one you order) I personally think its still a good deal as it would cost you almost the same to D.I.Y these panels by buying all the materials, building the frames etc..
  18. Hey, You might wanna watch or look for 'Ask Video Cubase SX tutorials', those will show you a lot of the basic stuff..You can preview some of them on google video: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=cubase+tutorial
  19. Hmmm you mean morning melodic stuff? Dunno if its really similar to any particular artist but someone on another forum told me it sounded like the first Vibe tribe album! Personally i dig the following artists for morning psy: Protoculture, Popstream, System Nipel, Electro sun, Phanatic, Visual contact, Aquatica, Pixel, Mahamudra that should keep you going for a while!
  20. Hey, I made this track for www.realworldremixed.com & its been lying in my hard disk ever since so i thought i'd share it. Its a remix of Afro Celt sound system..Would like to get some feedback! http://beatbiz.net/player.php?tid=1267
  21. I meant these peaks: Here's with statistics, does the mixdown look alright to you? I'm wondering how to get a higher RMS on my mixdowns though, since the examples Domestic showed on Isra had the same volume levels but the RMS levels were much higher.
