  1. Death is just another stage of life.
  2. LOVE hot sauce! A place nearby sells some of the hottest sauces in the world.
  3. Usually its a 7, can go as high as 9. Wife and two kids keep me happily grounded.
  4. Wow. Great review. Makes me want to listen just to hear the contrast!
  5. A few years ago, I worked for The Nine Inch Nails Hotline and we had great success by maintaining our front page with news on upcoming shows, events, and releases. Forums and chat were attached to the site, but were secondary. What about a dynamic front page to advertise upcoming releases and other psytrance/goa news for this page? A select group of contributors could post news and updates to that page. I realize that this is already done through the news forum, but perhaps the forum setup turns visitors away. As somebody said earlier, the web is being more sectionalized and I know a few people that are turned off by sites that are nothing but a collection of web forums. AmishHacker
  6. I had the same problem as some of the others with this album. At first, it sounded dull and somewhat distant, but it's grown on me. There are some really powerful melodies that require more than one listen or the right frame of mind to grasp them. Otherwise, great album. AmishHacker
  7. Please let us know if you're successful. That will be good information to have. AmishHacker
  8. Thinking that someone should create a "What are you not doing right now?" thread. AmishHacker
  9. I realize that this thread is a couple of months old, but I lurked for about a year before joining and probably six months more before really posting anything. That’s because I could access the reviews and much of the content without an account. I started posting because I want to be connected to people that have an interest in psytrance and goa. Unfortunately for me, there is nobody in my area that even remotely seems to know or appreciate this music. Even my wife and co-workers look strangely at me when I play it. In any case, I can’t say that I have the perfect solution. I agree with some of the above posts that much of what is going on now has been done before. You can only have so many “favorite album” or “what are you doing right now” threads before things become stale. However, I do like the idea of the free compilation, but I would certainly like to see more encouragement for music contribution, collaboration, and exhibition from past and current Psynews members across the site. Perhaps there could be some kind of energized focus on those types of contributions in a way that would encourage others to join, critique, and contribute. AmishHacker
