  1. Good answer. I wasn't expecting this answer, but I'm very satisfied with it. I actually don't know which album I like more. The second album has tracks that I like and dislike the most overall, so I find myself listening to "Lost Eden" more than Code Eternity because it has more of a "variety" in its songs, styles, and also, I heard Code Eternity the week it was available to buy Iand I've had like two years to listen to that before Lost Eden came out, and I'll find it interesting to see how your albums age! Positive words. I like your philosophy about change and how as your life changes, it effects you, feelings, moods, etc.. and thus your music. Also, just as the soul remains in the body until the end of ones life I presume, this may be a good analogy for how you relate to the soul of Asura. I mean, I think its easier to lose soul with music than with the body og course, but if the passion is there, regardless of the exterior or style, like on a person if they changed their personality but still had the same intentions and goals, dreams, ambitions... its still the same foundation and purpose, even if it "looks" or "sounds" different. Anyway, your intentions seem kind and sincere and I appreciate you taking the time to communicate with fans and other listeners of your music. I have no further questions or comments. I guess thats a good thing because I tend to write too much sometimes, and I'm making a goal to change that; to be more direct and keep things more simple and focused, less lengthy or verbose, so thanks for spending the time to go through all I asked and wrote. Good luck with the mastering and thanks you for your answers . When you do get the currently unknown release date, please post something so everyone knows. thats all.
  2. Wow, 5 years old? Well I know thats still kind of young, but everyone deserves to get laid on their birthday!
  3. Good thread! I just voted was found it interesting that so many people are from only just a handful of county's and regions. Its interesting to see what country so many of us are from! There is bound to be some bitchiness or argument when it comes to stuff like this, and I think the majority of us like this poll. The only thing I would have prefered would have been to vote United States in stead of North America, since North America isn't a country. Nevertheless, it does pertain the the northern region of US and Canada, and since North America is basically the United States and Canada, the region placement is fine. No need getting all technical and overly specific because this polls just for fun, entertainment, and general interest. I realize its too late to change the poll now and unfortunately I guess the available site option in creating a pole was limited to 50 bars, so maybe by saying United States and Canada, in place of including both in one region, which is still basically accurate (region wise) for instance may have filled up too many slots. Overall it works and its put together well.
  4. Thanks Asura, in my lengthy writing above, I said that I didn't find any tracks on Lost Eden cheesy, but to better answer your question, no ... I don't find the more poppish tracks in Lost Eden cheesy, but several of my friends found one or two of the more poppish ones annoying, not cheesy. Some examples of what I call cheesy music is certain Enya tracks, Tim Janis, etc. An example of cheesy may pertain to the voice bits in the Enigma track, "Dream of the Dolphin" I think its called. Cheesy is simply put, anything fluffy sounding. I wish I could be more specific, but I think you get the idea. I'd have to peel through my collection to find more specific songs. But look at it this way; you know whats cool because your music is cool, ya know? Why change a great thing unless it can be even better? With this style change, I hope it just shows how talented and diverse you'll can really be, while still keeping the spirit and intentions of Asura! I hope this sounds like nothing other than something I haven't heard, even if the changed style and any new influences! You guys are very talented in the melodic department, and I hope that the more poppish songs don't distract too much from your creative rhythm and landscapes of sounds. I think they'll be good in their own way. I was hearing your Lost Eden album today. And I realize the following is off topic from what you asked but I felt like sharing it. The tracks from Lost Eden that I find the best are: (not in any order) Land and Freedom - Great melodic, catchy, upbeat, trance / chill song! Fahrenheit - This has got to be one of my favorite melodic "trance/newage/chill" songs ever!!! I listen to this loud, while driving fast at night! Wow! Really puts you in the mood! Wish it was a bit longer! Le Vol d'Icare - Good song! An example of really dreamy, chilled, newage/trance with clever use of voices and hums, etc... This song is very relaxing and nice! The molodies and choir voices really compliment each other. The problem with singing too much with actual lyrics is that it distracts from the music, mood, visuals that we as listeners imagine and this song I feel doesn't do that! Its pretty good! The Battle of Devas - The voices in the middle only add interest to the pick-up and uplifting rhythm that soon follows, such a well done song! Smart use of female voices too! And the male voices with the female voices I find beautiful and very well mixed, I'm glad they aren't too loud and yet not drowned out by all those melodies, beats, and other sounds! Requiem from Nowhere - I so like how this starts out like in a moviem, exploring something like on a strange planet, far away ... its so atmospheric and cool, and then when it picks up this track gets more aggressive for this type of music; its very creative and catchy! Lost Eden (the actual song) - Those 5 tracks listed above and one or two others, I enjoy listening to so many times from the"Lost Eden" album. Now I'm looking forward to the poppish songs, and I find your less poppish stuff better than your poppish stuff so far. I played most of the Lost Eden album with several friends. Those few who heard the Lost Eden track didn't like it at all, but I like it. My one roomate who is very much into newage, ambient, trip-hop, trance, etc... really doesn't like this song. When I asked him why?, he said its because of the male voice, going "whooou... ahhhh" the whole time!... he just finds it annoying, and my other friend agreed but didn't dislike it as much as my roomate. I personally like the beat and melody. I think the song is decent and obviously some people won't care for every track, but this track is certaintly not your best or close to it I feel. I really like the end two minutes of Raindust. I played Raindust for my room mate who likes several of the second album tracks listed above, the less poppish ones, and asked him what he thought. He is someone who really enjoys all of Code Eternity, so I know he is into your music in general. When asked about Raindust, he felt as though the lady sounds as if she's whining. He agreed with me that toward the end there's a part where it gets better, but by then he seemed to lose interest because it takes so long to get to that melody and beat without the voices that sound irritating, where as in other tracks, the other female humming sounds he liked. I found this interesting because it separates the people who are into the poppish stuff from those who aren't. And unlike Raindust and Lost Eden songs, I prefer the other ones with voices, such as From the Abyss for example. Now thats a really nice, cool, chill song! Lastly, I already have a feeling that some people will really like and dislike the change in style. I do like the more poppish songs on Lost Eden, and I like the melodic newage/trance songs much more. I hope the new poppish ones will be even more catchy and I'm sure lots of time and work has gone into them. I appreciate that you care about making quality music and communicate with people via forums and listen to what they think. I think its important to get feedback, as long as it doesn't alter your vision if you feel passionalte about it. I can only comment on what I've heard of course, and although I am unsure with the new album, I still plan on buying it! With the Lost Eden album, your work has become more versatile since Code Eternity. Only now, there seems to be more limitations in certain area's, like when you have a great song, don't be afraid to fight to have songs as good as Fahrenheit left in its entirety, even if it has to be a bonus track at the end, just to better improve song-length and pacing. I realize these songs are shorter and so I suppose that they probably don't need to be as epic. Asura, I just had several questions. Do you or has Asura performed live and tour? If not, would you have interest in that? If so, is there any chance you'll ever come to the USA? Will there be any songs with out lyrics and singing on the third album; songs similar to the top 5 I mentioned above? If you HAD to choose one and only one, which album of yours do you prefer and why? Code Eternity or Lost Eden? Maybe this is not fair to ask an artist because you obviously feel strongly about both, but I'm just curious. Do you have any interest in ever following up with more melodic trance? Will we ever see a Code Eternity 2 or Lost Eden 2 in that style?, or do you think you may stick to the more poppish style in the near future? This question is similar to the one above. Most artsts stick to one style, but since your style keeps changing, is there a reason for the changing of styles? I don't mind the changes in style as long as its good, and by doing so you will obviously lose more fans but new fans will emerge who like one of the other styles. Is constantly changing your style (while keeping the soul) because Asura is tryiing to find its most comfortable nitch; style?, or do you guys just find it fun to experiment and explore? Any ideas?
  5. Hey, no not at all. I don't find Lost Eden and Raindust cheesy, although Raindust really does remind me of some of Moby's work with the female voices and piano tunes. I still like it but I can't stop thinking of Moby when I hear that strong melody and parts of that track. Then the last two minutes are exactly what I like, with tribal voices and that catchy maybe slightly dark melody. I'm hearing it right now while writing this paragraph and this is catchy!, although I think it would have sounded even better if that melody came in while the guys voices were still going a little bit longer toward the end! It just crossed my mind... Anyway, I simply said what I said because when I think of something more poppish, (in general) my mind associates to "pop," which isn't my type of music in general, but I like some pop and some music with poppish influence too. I think when many people including myself hear that a more trance influenced group is becoming more poppish or poppish-influenced, it usually drums up lots of speculation and worry, because poppish and trance, well, specifically melodic psytrance and pop just doesn't seem to go well together. But Asura was never limited to one or even just two sub-genra's, and you communicated that the style has changed again, and on top of that ... I haven't seen one remotely negative post on thread, so its nice to see so many people supporting and looking forward to this change, and I am too. The style on the second album was so different than the first, and I find the first more unique, (its the least mainstream-sounding release I think because of its lengthy tracks; their longer running time makes it easier to not break the mood when meditating and visualizing to the music) and I found the second pretty good with several of my favorite tracks from you yet ... I'm looking at the third album both open-minded and without high expectations. Also, I'm aware something more "poppish" sounding does not make it pop music. I'm glad that straight up pop is not what you're doing, because it then would probably be very difficult to not lose spirit and origin and shops like psytrance would probably not carry your stuff. Originally, when we last spoke maybe 6-10 months ago on these forums, I was a bit worried that your trance style would lose its art and soul, for substitution of easy lyrics and more mainstream aimed, general songs, but the point is to get your music out to the mainstream with keeping the soul intact; as long as you keep the spirit of Asura, which you've ensured us, and that the songs are catchy, (even if there are always some people who won't like it), that is what counts in the end: The meaning, intent, spirit. As I later learned (many months ago) that the entire style would be different and less trance like the first two albums, I understood why these changes in style may work well, simply because you're moving further away from the out-skirts of psytrance. In psytrance, the thought of a group sounding more poppish rarely works; it can get silly and cheesy, but your stuff was never really psytrance and I never found it cheesy or silly thankfully. Asura involves many types of trance and other genra influences, and certain tracks seem totally influenced by melodic psytrance and maybe they are, I don't know for sure. Regardless, the only people I think will be disappointed with this release, are those expecting exactly what you said the third album isn't ... a Code Eternity 2 or yet another Lost Eden. And speaking of voices ... when I think of Asura's style changing again, I think of something even more New Age influenced ... (which I think would be great for your group, because you already got it down with the chill, relax, melodies, floating/dreamy sounds) I really enjoy the voices, hums, and singing in solid newage artist groups: Amythestium, Bassic, and Enigma's earlier work. Code Eternity and Lost Eden I find good, cool, catchy, relaxing, melodic chill albums. I enjoy the trance influence and style. I just want to say for the record, when hearing tracks like Farenheit, I saw lots of potential for you guys to create even more massive melodic, vivid, imaginative, lifting, psychedelic songs; psytrance. Maybe that wish will come true one day or not. Either way, I realize your choice here was to do something different again in style and I'm just as curious to hear it, because I really liked the first two and I'm very open-minded to hearing all types of music and changes in style too. I'll be looking forward to giving you feedback on your new album, hopefully sometime in the next several months!
  6. Hey Asura, please inform us when this is expected to be available. Hopefully it will be available to buy on psyshop as the other releases were and still are I think. I have both the other albums and I'm looking forward to getting this one too. Too bad its going onto more poppish terrain, but who knows... if its catchy, well done, and not too cheesy, I'm interested. I really hope its good, and I agree that tracks like Land of Freedom and Fahrenheit seemed cut off and faded out before the songs' originally intended endings. Looking forward to this one!
  7. Yeah, this better be a CD or CD pack with ALL NEW SONGS! Impressive tracklist or not, I won't buy an album if its re-releases, shit I already own or have heard -- just to fill up a CD (s). And yes it is nice to put this toward the Tsunami disaster. I too just hope its not some cheap scam or whatever ... and the songs better not be or sound rushed. I really hope each artist really makes a good or great song. Whats the name of this album??? WHEN and WHERE will it be available??? Without that information known,
  8. Hey Amithaba Buddha, I was checking out the Suntrip Records site and your profiles, like you, Jannis, etc, to get a more general idea about yo'all. Do you have an album out or coming out called Amithaba Buddha? I'd be really curious to hear some of your work if you release an album or have already released an album. I enjoyed Filteria's album lots and was curious about your status with albums, songs, etc... thanks
  9. Yes, you're right! You knew I'd like this?! Thats awesome! I so hope he continues to make this music! And maybe one day he'll release Earth Crossing, or not! I hope someone gets in touch with him. I wonder what the cover looks like, heh... yea cool, and I agree with you that this album is a masterpiece!
  10. I think a real psytrance party would have just about all the above. You can't really vote on just one as you need more than one I'd think. You obviously need the psytrance music, friendly people, loud sound system, (I'd think) the unique, exotic out-doors environment, maybe displays (thats a maybe if you're out doors I'd think) and of course freedom ... and I always thought that shrooms, hallucinogens, ecstasy, and weed are available at one. It seems that when people are high on weed, on a trip, or rolling on E, they're never violent, ever, and they're actually quite pleasent to be around. Regardless, its all about having a good time, the energy and experience, with or without drugs. I live in the US where we don't have REAL psytrance parties. I've been to many clubs and Psytrance/Goa is my favorite music, and I'd like to go to one when I go to Europe. I'd like to go to one that takes place in a beautiful or cool, outdoor environment (Dark Forest; Beach, Corn Fields, on top of a mountain, Castle, Quary, etc...) as OPPOSED to a psytrance party indoors, or "psytrance night" in some club with walls, floors, a DJ or two, etc... is there that much of a difference? The outdoor ones seem to have more freedom. they sound more intriging to me. Since clubs are usually restricted to drugs (unless you come high or simply sneak them in) ... How do you know where to go, in order to go to the really special, wild, outdoors in beautiful environments ones? Is it by word-of-mouth like with certain underground clubs? Is there another way? I've always found interest in going to some cool out doors psytrance party in a super-cool environment with NO restrictions, to have fun and experience something different, and the opportunity and freedom to see and do whatever sounds nice, as long as you only add to the positive vibes and energy. Where, how does one find these unique psytrance party places?. Is it actually that easy to know where to go to for a real psytrance party? Is it like an actual rave where its all word-of-mouth?, or is it more open and accessible to just about any person into psytrance?
  11. Oh.. reading your review again... I noticed something, and I had originally thought that it was the labels fault that this got no release, because old school goa albums usually don't sell that that many copies anymore. So its the actual artist then?! Huh... he should release this if its in his power, why wouldn't he not have power? I mean, who cares if this sells 50 copies or 50,000? The point is that he released his work and got it out there. Is it really about the music or the money? In the end, does either really matter? All that matters is how he is remembered, which is priceless! The album is done. Its great! Truly great I agree with you! I wish he'd read this forum and see the light with this one. Its like wake up Dan!, you have fans that care about you and are aware enough to see that you are very talented. Don't let lack of sales turn you off to getting this thing out there! Lots of work and energy went into making this album! Its not to late to get it out there! Its that great!
  12. Yes. I agree. Is this possible? Suntrip? If they can do it with Sky Input why not give it a try? It will appear on psyshop, saiko sounds, etc. I finally heard the third Chi-A.D. album and all I can say is wow. This is the BEST Chi-A.D. album to date. This album is excellent. Some of the greatest and most beautiful, catchy bands of emotional and/or strong goatrance work and melodies I've heard in a very long time. 3.) This album is a Gem! It is if you listen to it in the right environment with the right quality. Its beautiful, track 6 is the only one thats not really or great on the album in my opinion. The last track is AWESOME! All other tracks are very good or great! I give this a B+ at the least! It deserves such respect and to be released. Its beautiful and a tragedy that the labels wouldn't release it, another label SHOULD RELEASE THIS. The sound of Chi-A.D. has rarely been this strong! It's like trapping a beautiful in a bottle not releasing this. Maybe the artist has given up. Maybe. Life goes on. This album DESERVES so much attention and respect. I agree with Seraph that this may be the last goa album never released. This is the beautiful GOA music that I miss the most. The melodies have such characater and feeling. I fear because of what happened with this not getting a release, this may be the last Chi-A.D. album we ever hear. I am both very and thankful to have finally heard it. This is the type of album I care to buy and own. This album is very special ... no further words.
  13. Yeah, what happened is that the page I couldn't browse it using my Mac cpu. But its cool because I finally heard it else where. Nice song too. Short and simple, but plesent. I'm sure its more effective when used in the game. Okay, thanks. I was wondering about that. Yes, the trailer or preview then looked GREAT!, and I wished I got into Final Fantasy 7 back in 1997 I believe, (when it came out) as I hear its the best part from virtually everyone who is into the Final Fantasy games. I have never played it! I was never really into RPG's unfortunately, the menu fighting system I always found too tedious, where as I really liked games like... Zelda - Orcarina of Time - (This is a classic and the highest rated game ever made according to official sources Gamerankings.com, IGN, Gamespot! MGS 1 & 2 (Sons of Liberty) Devil May Cry: (The first DMC) The sequel to DMC, called DMC 2 was crap! DMC 3 seems to be more like the first, comes out in two months! Silent Hill 2 - The darkest, most twisted and disturbing game ever! GoldenEye - (hehe, just had to throw that one in there) ...I always prefered these games because you have full in-game fighting/movement control of your 3rd person, without the 3rd person pauses with the option menu popping up; the battle system which define RPG's from 3rd person action / adventures. Of course, so many people love RPG's, but so many others find them too boring, tedious, or in my case ... one who prefers the choice to just walk up to the boss or enemy and smash, fight, or move around it at any given time, with no pauses if he attacks, like in an RPG ... where I wait to attack, then I attack ... then you attack, repeat, etc... Its just preference I suppose, but I could see how many people enjoy this unique role-playing system because of the thoughts, characters, and strategies used in defeating certain creatures and playing through such grandious stories and epic gameplay. Anyway, Final Fantasy 7 always intrigued me back then and still does some. I wonder why they (Square) don't make a sequel PS2 game to the classic FF-7, and then base the new upcoming film on that? in stead of making the sequel isolated as a film only when there's obviously more to the story, ya know? Because the developers made a sequel on the PS2 to Final Fantasy 10 and called it FFX 10-2. Since when do they ever make sequels to the Final Fantasy games, as each Final Fantasy is a completely different Fantasy. Also, I heard that the new ones are so pretty, but still can't beat the greatness of FF 7. Anyway, thanks for the clarifications and answers!
  14. Okay, yes. Thats what I hoped. Playstation One is basically the same thing as PSX. Do you know if Advent Children is the title of Final Fantasy VII on the original Playstation? I found something on limewire that said FF VII Advent Children and it was like a movie clip or a cut scene of some guy fighting with a giant sword. I'm aware of the big sword from the main character, but is this a clip from the actual PS Final Fantasy 7 game or something else? Also, tried to download that song but it seems to only be compatible with Microsoft Windows, what about for Mac users? There are several copies of "Can You Hear The Cry Of The Planet" on limewire but its taking forever for some reason. Few users, that sort of thing. I look forward to hearing it!
  15. Is the Final Fantasy VII you're talking about the one on playstation One??? or a movie based on FF VII??
  16. XENOMORPH - QLIPPOTH (2003) 1. Sepulchre 2. Haunted 3. Tzelmavet 4. The Pit and the Pendulum 5. Gehinom 6. Shaari Avadon 7. Tree of Death 8. Antimatter 9. Qlippoth Xenmorph's Qlippoth is the sequel to Mark Petrick's debut album Cassandra's Nightmare, and sole for those interested in exploring authentic, high quality DARK/EVIL Psytrance with Goa influence. Cassandra's Nightmare is regarded as one of, if not (arguably) the best dark [horror dark] Psy/Goa-Trance album of its time. Haunting, disturbing, satantic influenced and yet electrically catchy with some of the best sound/melody, atmospheric and compositional work I've ever heard in a dark psy/goa album. Not every song is stellar IMO, though the general song is great, unpredictable (at times) and deranged was F&#K!!! This album defines or re-defines what EVIL DARK PSY/GOA TRANCE is. Qlippoth is more mature than Cassandra's Nightmare that's grown on me since my initial criticism. This artist's work is darkly imaginative, ambitious, powerful, and visionary. Also, those into evil, dark... check out the psytrance comp: There Is No Tomorrow.
  17. Jannis, I've finished listening to your debut album for now and I've posted an extended, detailed review in the Reviews Section. You may have read through it already, as its been posted since Monday, however I've been updating, revising, trimming, and altering it ever since, and I believe that I may have finished it tonight. I usually don't ever write music reviews this long but communicating with you inspired me to write more because I'm under the impression that you'd read it. I felt more sense of purpose writing it, if that makes sense. I enjoyed listening to your album very much. If I could through out some suggestions or wishes, they'd be that I would be interested if you felt like creating some darker stuff, while also maintaining lots of layers, and I'm just entertaining the idea of creating more atmospheric parts in certain songs, creating more visual moments to compliment the already visual induced and crazy, intricate, fun, climactic psytrance/goa you do. There are several other general things/thoughts I'd like to ask and express, but right now I'm exausted. I've made sure to add enough words in my review, which doesn't include me going over each and every track individually, as I would need to hear the album again for the already strong impression to better develop individually according to each colorful and distinct track. Anyway, thats all for now! All current else is in my review! Peace and good health! -Jc
  18. FILTERIA - SKY INPUT SUNTRIP RECORDS 2004 Track list: 1. OPERATION PULSE - A 2. STARS - A- 3. NAVIGATE - B+ 4. THE SNUGGLING SNAIL - B 5. DOMESTIC MODULATOR - A 6. ULTIMATOR - A- 7. GALACTIC RAYS - A- 8. SKY INPUT - A- Each track on Sky Input is like its own world. With this many build-ups, climaxes, and explosions of melodies, Filteria has pushed climactic music to the next level. This album has tracks great to hear at a trance party. Listening straight through the album may be too much for some (but that's preferential). This can be a good thing when just any track may cure your adrenaline fix, at least with music. SKY INPUT VS I.F.O. If the words, "PLEIADIANS" were on this album in place of "Filteria," I would have thought Sky Input was their third album. The artist admires I.F.O's style. The production here is better, more crisp. None of us can forget how unique and distinct I.F.O. was for its time and still is today. Overall, I was more impressed with I.F.O., because I.F.O. was the first time I had ever heard this super psychedelic, melody-braiding, orgy of intricate sounds and layers style. That is not to say that Sky Input isn't impressive. Sky Input is the most impressive Goa album I have heard in over half a decade! GRIPES & WEAKNESSES / FEEDBACK & IDEAS Either you will like this style or you will not. Either it will be too much for you or not. It's that simple. For what this is, its hard to find negative things to say, but here are some thoughts that can be considered not positive I suppose. A.) - Because I.F.O. came first, Sky Input isn't groundbreaking; it doesn't revolutionize. Alright, that was a low blow. B.) - Each track has so many layers of melodies (in general I like many layers in Goatrance)- that sometimes its nice to have one strong, leading melody to stand out and carry the rest of melodies. Sometimes its nice to hear one catchy, dominating melody as opposed to many melodies all piled up on top of one another. I realize Pleiadians had many layers, and like Pleiadians, Filteria has created some very catchy synths and/or leads that carry parts of the songs. But sometimes its difficult to fully realize them. An example would be at the end of Galactic Rays where a really cool tune is almost drowned out by the other sounds. The point is to be over-the-top while creating strong impact and delivery. The idea is that you can have chorus like melody(s) that many people will enjoy and make such melodies more focused and distinguishable. I really enjoy this style. I think creating several songs in the future with a more focused leading melody (while also having lots of layers around it) is a good thing to explore, especially from an artist who knows this elaborate approach to music. Songs like Trashish by Transwave and Kabalah by Astral Projection are just two examples where one great, catchy melody was so strong, it dominated the solid song, and without sounding tiresome or repetitive. Alas, those weren't the Pleiadian style. Nonetheless, those tunes were unforgettable to many people, easily accessible to many minds, and playable at any time verbatom in the head. * I'd also be interested to hear Filteria pull off something darker, with an intriguing/eerie intro, chilling, icy atmopshere, etc.. just think about it. I also challange the idea of an ambient-influenced Goatrance (downtempo) track, a chill track that ends the album, one that's melodic, catchy, floating, and maybe even emotional sounding, and those are just some ideas that I think sound interesting. In conclusion, Sky Input is the best Goa/Psy Trance album of 2004. Part of me feels that Sky Input is on another level compared to most Goa/Psy today. The artist takes an existing, complex, and sadly abandoned style and revives it. This album is like a roller coaster from start to finish. It goes so far over-the-top, I swear we're not in Kanses anymore. The album's sheer energy may be unparalleled at times. This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Every song is well done. Several definitely have more memorable melodies and elements than others (Snuggling Snail I like the least). Do I wish Pleiadians had followed up this style? Sure, back then, yes. They didn't however and someone else did in 2004. I think it's interesting to see someone follow-up such an innovative style. I imagine racing through outer-space and other worlds while listening to this album, similar to Pleiadian's I.F.O. and Astral Projection's Dancing Galaxy. I'm curious and interested as to if Filteria could incorporate more atmospheric parts to give the track not only a more outer-worldy feel, but more of an identity! This can be accomplished without harming or taking away from the concept of epic tracks, style, and overall experience. With exception to the similar style and some similar sounds used on multiple songs here, every track is inventive, imaginative, extremely melodic, intricate, good, great, excellent; only one I thought was fairly good (Snuggling Snail - the melody work grows tired on me). If you love I.F.O. you'll probably love, if not like this. Sky Input is loaded with killer songs. Thank you for this wonderful release. As was the case with I.F.O., it is rare that a debut album is this strong and exciting! ALBUM COVER - The cover's artwork is very catchy, creative in design, and attention grabbing. I like the cover very much and hopefully the next cover can be just as imaginative and psychedelic! This is a great album! I'm looking forward to hearing and buying more from this artist again in the future. HIGHLIGHTS: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8. A-

  20. Oh no ... I had to do it. I had to get this album for myself just to listen to it. Here are my current impressions. For starters, other than the fact that this album hasn't gone over nicely with MOST fans, (if you haven't noticed) the first track is okay and the second track is very repetitive and just boring. There is maybe 1-3 tracks that I can actually say are decent, and one thats pretty good, while many are filler or just plain lacking in something and highly forgettable. The song Long way Home is the pretty good song on the album. It has some very catchy melodies and sounds, its uplifting, upbeat, and not cheesy at all in my opinion. I feel this is the only good track on the album. Magic is also decent and has some catchy melodies. Now, darker, or rather less light tracks are Alien Cream and one other track I can't think of right now, but their not that dark at all. And on a side note, why not just call it Alien Scream, thats sounds so much better than calling it "Alien Cream?. That just sounds strange to me. Anyway, there are several decent tracks, but COMPARED TO THEIR LAST TWO RECORDS... What the FUCK?!?! Sunspot and Cumbustion were great! If Dark Soho is going to be light, they should change their name. As far as lighter sounding tracks go, almost all of these aren't even decent for what they are. I can think of one memorable track (Long Way Home) but thats it. And when I think of all the filler on this album in order to get to the one or two better tracks, I figure, why even bother taking the disc out and playing it. I'd rather listen to something where the good and great tracks far oudue the bad or so-so, forgettable ones. Why aren't there more good, melodic catchy songs like Long Way Home? Whats with all the repetitive, uninspired? Many of the tracks on this album seem to lack color, character, enthusiasm, -- they're plain and boring! They need more charisma, melodies, elements that surprise you and / or sound more catchy!!! With trying to not be too harsh and not biased, but I am a bit biased because I expect much more from them due to their last two albums ... this album isn't as bad as some people have made it out to sound, and it has several nice songs, one thats actually pretty good and quite catchy, but *DAMN* -- its a huge fucking disappointment! Last words to Dark Soho: Guys, get back to you dark, gothic style fast! Or change your name to something that compensates the light direction or if your going to make lighter stuff make it great, not just 1-3 decent tracks!!!, or stop making music! Jesus, this release album is not good. You can do and have done so much better its hard to imagine that this is coming from the same artists who did Sunspot and Cumbostion! And I wasn't expecting it to be dark, I new the direction currently changed. Even for lighter songs, most of these are so boring and just general souding! They lack substance, imagination, melodies, something my God, to raise them up and make people jump around and cheery and enjoy them! It would have been nice if at least several more tracks on this album were up to par with Long Way Home, that would have at least made this album work better in the style you're doing, the lighter style. Its too bad this album didn't go through a face-life before it came out. Listen to your fans who buy and support your music! And why change a perfect thing! Is the point of this release to fade from the psy-scene?, cause thats the impression you're giving to many fans! The impression that you don't care or make good music anymore, even if you think its good! This is how thousands of people aware of Dark Soho are reacting! Hopefully your next album, if their actually is a next album, will make up for this one. I suggest getting back anyone who left the group who was talented with the darker stuff, and quickly getting started on something worthy of the title Dark Soho. Or just don't make music anymore, or just make music that most of your fans won't like and thus not be fans anymore. Thats what I think after spending 15 fucking dollars because I've always supported you guys. You're very talented and it sucks to see such a disappointment come from you guys. C or C- out of A
  21. OMG I've wanted to hear this album for years! I actually remember posting a thread asking "What the hell happened to Chi-A.D's Earth Crossing," back in 2003 in the general forums. I wish Chi-A.D. would sfind a different distributer, one willing to market his music, this album, since their has to be at least hundreds, thousands of people who like his stuff enough to buy it. The point is to get it out there regardless if you make a decent or good amount of money or not. This album deserves to be bought. There is still "oldschool' GOA being created, produced, marketed, and distributed (Binary Sky anyone?) Right? I never quite understood why they'd just leave "Earth Crosing" on some shelf to collect dust when they could MAYBE SELL it independently over their own site and through top psytrance shops on line. Ch-ad is one of the greatest goatrance artists of all time!, I own his two released, main albums. Some of his tracks are just so deep, powerful, melodic, dreamy, awesome!!! Exit Eternity was one of the first epic-goa sounding tracks that totally blew me away when I first heard it! Those melodies are so catchy and beautiful! And I want this album so much! I'd so order this album this second if it was available!
  22. What a surprise! This album is good, real good! I'm glad I bought it. After listening to the whole album, I strongly feel that this is the best, most delightful, well done chill album of 2004! No really, can you think of that many other albums better than this that year? I can't think of one and I haven't heard all of them. Regardless, this is high up there. This is such a good/great, melodic, relaxing, uplifting, catchy album! Its very different and listening to the samples makes sense since this is such a distinct album. The style and genra seems to lean more towards "newage / trip-hop" and something else. Its not psytrance at all so don't expect psy or goa, or you'll be disappointed. I really feel that just about every track is good or great. It really all comes down to mood of course, and this put me in a more positive mood. The only not positive thing I can say about this album is: 1.) The last track is very short and could have been better. 2.) The album length is about 56 minutes, but regardless ... every track is well done. There are no bad tracks! Thats it! Thats the most negative thing I'm very critical. This is a very good album, which will, like anything, not appeal to everyone. This music isn't psytrance, no.. it fits more into the newage, world, trance/chill genra's. Its very uplifting, not cheesy at all ... Many tracks are just so fun and bubbley, beautiful and catchy, and I enjoy the lyrics and voices very much, it blends together like Enya or Enigma has done in that it only accentuates the track with its attractive voices, vocals (when there are vocals) and thoughtful lyrics. Maybe this album fits more into the genra of some of Sphongles stuff, but its so different, and it sounds nothing like Sphongle at all. I feel that a lot of positive energy and feeling went into making this album. It sounds very positive and friendly, and its just really cool sounding and nice to listen to. Really, I think of lots of cool stuff while listening to this album! The lyrics meaningful, catchy, and not overdone. The album has direction, its very floating and has some beautiful sounds, melodies, voices, and rhythm. If your into Asura, Enigma, Bassic, or triphop, newage, emotional trance (in general) you've gotta listen to this album!
  23. Dado!, Hey, thats great man! Thanks for the positive, kind words! I very much look forward to this album! And I don't mind if it comes out in 2005 or 2006, or 2007! None of that matters because at least you've began it! The possibilities are endless! And there is NO rush. How ever long it takes, take your time to make it the way you feel it should be made! I recently realized how greatful we should be that Transwave is making another release after all these years! While most artists just ... get soft, stop producing, die (Cosma) or split up, (like Pleiadians unfortunately has done I hear), this is something rare. It seems to that artists are usually done with a group after 5-10 years pass without a release. And just the thought that Transwave is making a new album is something thats so cool! I don't think it has "kicked in" yet for some fans, I mean, the ACTUALITY that this is really happening!, and how exciting and great it may be! I'm so looking forward to hearing those melodies, aaahahahaha! Yes!!!, Good luck! PS: I sent you a private message via this site weeks ago. Just wondering if you have any ideas where I might be able to get a copy of your first Transwave album. I realize this album isn't in print anymore, (Thats the conclusion I've come to) so I'm not expecting to ever get a copy. Thats made it impossible for me to locate it. Please post here or send me a private message through the options on this site if you have any ideas or thoughts if you think of anything. thanks, Jc Happy Holidays!
