  1. Filteria is definitely playing and will be my first time seeing him Wooot! Annnd Mindsphere! It is Suntrip ten year party by Anoebis and co here: https://m.facebook.com/events/752131794815007/ Should be a thread for it somewhere too! Should do it man, not quite Boom but a rad reason for a quick trip if there ever was one!
  2. In which we post our favourite images/gifs/vids of the delicate art of people chewing their face off. Some would say gurning had its peak time in the 90s and late 2000s, but lately i have noticed somewhat of a renaissance around London in the lost art of looking like an absolute munter. Bonus points for posting pic of yourself. I'll start with some old favourites! Both from this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VJK5YpMLZY
  3. Reminds me a bit of Cybernetika indeed. A bit more twilight style perhaps. I see you are doing a collab with him also, sweet! Nice work on the release
  4. ^^ Haha, indeed hey. That's one of my favourite things about this place.
  5. There is no reason they couldn't.. Would be interesting to hear for sure. Just imagine how much they have learnt in that 15 year gap, on top of what they already knew, musically and production wise! I can't even fathom it heh. Whether they still have the passion in them for it, is another thing though. I feel like what makes IFO and their earlier stuff special is the detail and pure effort and love they put into their work. They loved what they were doing at the time. Would they still have that love for the goa sound now? I can never find any interviews with them about it, if anyone knows any I'd love to read em.
  6. Another reason I cannot wait for Suntrip party in Belgium in April... Imagine hearing nothing but full on and progressive every weekend for...forever lol. Ughhhh. It is going to be amazing to hear some melodies!
  7. and exciting on a dancefloor? Something that really grabbed you, surprised you even, and made you remember why you love parties, and trance in general? I ask because this past year my experiences, musically, at almost everything apart from festivals has been basically mediocre at best. I never thought i would see the day when my gf who i just introduced to the culture was more excited for a party than me, but lately it is almost getting to that point. Just the same people playing the same "progressive" and full on over and over, and over! Just so little actual psychedelic sounds being played, of course Zero goa, and I am just getting over it I think. Am I just getting old? or more refined? hah..
  8. I'm sure we can and will mate My next question is does anyone have any inside info as to more Forest artists being added to the lineup? I hate staggered releases god dammit!
  9. Depends, if you were listed in the "how the mighty have fallen thread"
  10. Haha I like your style man
  11. Dying of thirst after a long walk home, you longingly eye that carton of juice in the fridge, your mouth salivates at the thought as you reach in and put it to your mouth, but only one tiny drop comes out. The fucker was empty. And someone put it back in the fridge!* lol *probably me days ago
  12. I have experienced time dilation many times, im sure others experienced with psychedelics have as well. It is indeed a unique experience.. I know you aren't interested in psychedelics though. But still, having time slow to a crawl, along with music and visual perception altering, stopping, slowing, changing bpm etc is an incredible thing. Also if you have ever had a 12/20 or 32 hour trip (heh) you certainly feel you have been through days and possibly lifetimes of experiences in that period.. Perhaps a bit off topic from what u want to hear but it is what it is.
  13. Well, Filteria just announced he is playing at Boom which had made my day, and my decision! Even though ill see him in belgium, this will be our first Boom ever too. Possibly last depending if i make it to this side of the world again! Hope to see yas there
  14. It's funny, when I was young I couldn't wait to grow up and always wondered what i would be like in 20 years.. Haha. Now 30 years on I miss: Exploring with friends, riding bikes all day having mini adventures. Waking up early to play games for an hour before school, sometimes more, haha. After school football or whatever out front of our houses with friends. All night gaming sleepovers playing goldeneye etc. Seeing my brother and mother everyday. Not having any responsibilities really..
  15. Jesus christ that was bad. I could only listen to literally about one minute. Pure ambient admittedly is not my thing, but I can still hear when something sounds...mediocre. Just... yuck. Perhaps that's why no one talks about it. Or maybe they do, on an ambient forum somewhere?
  16. Im sure we will, but at the moment waiting for some time to watch at least few in a row... If its anything like Breaking Bad was for us then one episode will just leave me needing more asap! Considering waiting until the whole first season is out for this reason haha..
  17. I would rather fly, but still bus and train have their charms. Trains i prefer over bus as they are far comfier to me. The longer bus trips i have gone on i have always ended up with a sore a$$ and cramped legs.
  18. In my head reading the first part I was like "but, but Filteria", then I got to the last paragraph. Nice post mate. I for one agree with a lot of that but also am excited to see where artists like Jannis and even E-Mantra, Portamento and Artifact 303 take us. To me the fact that so far a lot of artists covered highly melodic sunshiny stuff just means there is a lot if room for the "darker" stuff now. I think the new Filteria album is great example of an artist evolving and exploring the style as a whole.
  19. ^^ Have been seeing ads for this as well, going to check that out tonight, maybe the first really high quality drama series since Breaking Bad. Really nice imdb ratings at first glance, and Woody + Mconaughey can't be bad for me! Cheers mate.
  20. Where is the motherboard now? And importantly, is it secure so as not to affect the atmosphere any further??
  21. Just for something different, and because I wanted to see if this guy has any other fans here. Not sure how i first stumbled upon him but I think it was because he played one of the first London parties I went to last year, then found his album on Ekto after that. Hard to describe as I think it is dark, but not really? Its kind of like dark psy basslines crossed with melodies and almost early morning atmosphere. Perhaps perfect 4am music for me, as it has the speed of dark stuff, but the vibe of morning. I think a lot of his stuff might be around 148/150ish. Anyway give it a listen if you are up for something different! This track in particular I think is just perfect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCJdN8y-Kyg Whole album can be found here: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/darkshire-after-the-storm
  22. Yup. Not always, and of course most of my listening is done sober through the week etc. However, I can say that to fully absorb myself in a psychedelic experience, alone, with headphones while tripping is one of my favourite experiences in this world. It is the measuring stick by which albums and tracks are measured for me as the depth of sound and clarity of music to be found is unmatched that way. Those who have tripped to great albums will know what I mean. It is just an entirely different thing, and one i highly, highly recommend everyone try at least once At festivals/parties though, no not always. Sometimes mdma as I do love that also, but tripping at festivals can get quite hairy for me occasionally just due to the amount of people around, and depending on the vibe. Tripping through dark psy and into the sunny floaty morning psy though is another experience in itself, and can be akin to being reborn. I don't really smoke much or at all anymore over the last 5 years or so. I really should as I love music when stoned, but I stopped smoking years ago as I didnt like having to have it to get to sleep, and when i didnt smoke before bed i really could not sleep at all. Still think it is a great thing though if you can do it in moderation. Anyway, um, i guess my answer is yes.
  23. http://www.imgur.com/gallery/ohCRIhz Mars, Anoebis? Anyone?
