  1. I bet you do.
  2. Nice choice. I'm inclined to agree but Beethoven is muttering in my ear.
  3. Total Eclipse - Free Lemonade
  4. Today I got - Beth Orton - Comfort of Strangers *Special Deluxe Edition* A lovely folk album with a strange CD case treated with oil paints. Whenever I sniff it it reminds me of my hippy artist friend. Quite strange.
  5. A disc containing sound-bytes from movies and TV programmes.
  6. Cheers, Shpongled.
  7. I was genuinely looking forward to this, I mean just look at the artists involved, but after listening to the samples, found here, I'm under the impression it's full-on crap. Has anyone heard it, is it any good? Tell me I'm wrong, please. Future Sound Masters - Various Artists (Tipworld) Trackisting - 1. Psychedelic Baby - Hujaboy 2. Dirty Trick - Manwithnoname 3. String Theory - Manwithnoname 4. Switch (Bullet Proof remix) - Bekers 5. Mexicosed Brains - Biotonic 6. Science Mythology - Biotonic 7. Holy Flip - Sandman 8. Night Tripper - Sandman 9. Dragon Dance - Terraformers
  8. Only someone gay would do such a thing.
  9. I'm not one to judge...
  10. UX - Alien Earth Activity
  11. Hallucinogen's Solstice (Remix) is a funny track, especially the line "I've just pissed in my pants and no-one can do anything about it". Funny stuff.
  12. You're a good man, Otto. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
  13. Does it exist?
  14. Now we forget it ever happened. Heaven forbid I should remember agreeing with you, it would only lead to despair.
  15. I've never seen a movie with psy-trance but we have a motorcar TV show here in the UK called Top Gear produced by the BBC and that sometimes features psy-trance, indeed they've played tracks from Juno Reactor's Labyrinth on more than one occasion.
  16. You know, for once, I... yes, I agree with you.
  17. Yeah, the 'free' track from his upcoming album is a beauty and really wet my appetite. His new album will be in two parts - the first part will feature six trance tracks and the second part will feature three tracks of down-tempo loungey beats reminiscent of the opening track off the first album. Make of that what you will. I know, it's incredibly whoreish and bang out of order. I wrote Twisted an email of complaint requesting they release the 'Secrets of Shpongleland' CD as a standlaone album so those who already own the Shpongle CD's can get their paws on it without being short-changed. Not that they're likely to do it though, the bastards.
  18. Agreed, a lot of ambient stuff is scrupulously engineered.
  19. I like Otto and would hate for him to become involved with guns, violence and crack-cocaine. It would upset me.
  20. I know what you mean about some recordings often sounding poor, unfortunately it's one of the drawbacks of owning a high-resolution system. Still, can't complain too much as the well-produced stuff can leave one's hairs standing on end. Anyway, I find Ott's Blumenkraft a thing of incredible beauty on a decent system, it's meticulously engineered, same goes for his Hallucinogen in Dub remix album (both on Twisted Records). The Secret of the Thirteen Crystal Skulls and The Mystery of the Thirteen Crystal Skulls (both on Tipworld) are also extremly well produced. Prometheus' Robot-o-chan is another, also Youger Brother's Flock of Bleeps (both on Twisted Records). Juno Reactor's Labyrinth also deserves a shout, indeed it sounds magical through the right setup, and Shulman's In Search Of A Meaningful Moment is breathtaking and features stunning dynamics and transients, really can't recommend it highly enough. All these albums have a very clean, crisp sound and excel at imaging and sonic-seperation.
  21. Don't do it Otto!
  22. Hallucinogen - Space Pussy. Oh yeah.
  23. Keyboard Widow in my opinion is easily their best track.
  24. As phobium says, a high bpm is nothing new, many artists were doing it over a decade ago.
