  1. I don't get it. It's an unreleased track and the only thing you'd do for the artist if you shared it would be to spread the word that it's a great artist. I would understand if it was released on a cd or something so that the artist would get "loss of income", but like this... It just makes me sad
  2. I am listening to an MP3 electrypnose - espoir OOPS, I DOWNLOADED IT FOR FREE FROM HIS WEBPAGE, WHAT A THIEF I AM!?!?! LOL
  3. The thing is that I can't get milk/bread for free. Otherwise I would obviously get it. So fucking stupid comment... I'm writing the following statement hoping that anyone will read it and not just focus on the vulgar statement I just made: To colin and anyone else who cares enough to call me a liar for not copy pasting my posts from last week: People change, is that a bad thing? "I DIDNT CALL YOU A LIAR" I don't care, it's what it felt like. WE CAN ONLY TRUST OUR FEELINGS (or some other bullcrap you've said) I even said that I wouldn't even read this thread again, but I DID! LOL I'm A LIAR!
  4. This forum sucks. People are so stupid, acting smart, and when Cinos, who actually seems to have some sort of brain makes a statement that people don't understand he gets banned. I don't even know why he got banned, but I don't care. It's probably true what I said, but you'll say it isn't and give me examples of things he's done. Excuses I tell you, people have acted much worse than Cinos without getting banned. Examples you want? I don't have any, and frankly I don't care. See you all some day when I'm in a better mood. (I'm just whining, don't bother caring about it (I know you will not read this comment and still comment on my reply, because you have nothing else to do, but I have to at least try)) Good bye.
  5. Hehe, I really don't know why, but I had forgotten that I even posted this topic, thanks alot guys
  6. I thought DJ n00b was an artist name
  7. Say that to everyone and *poof* your small income becomes nothing. How's that? Seriously man, I was clearly typing that it was a joke but you take me dead seriously. It's quite annoying. And I do value what you do, that's what I tried to explain in the earlier thread, only that I tried explaining two things at once, which caused lots of misunderstandings, no matter how many times I tried to explain it. However, I value all types of work the same, except for the farmers, which I value higher, because they help EVERYONE. If everyone would share their work, we would have to work VERY LITTLE, and then we could MAKE MUSIC all the time we want. Do you understand what I mean? I really love music and I want it to be a BIG part of society, like every other interests. And I know that it's a hard time for artists today, especially in the smaller scenes like psytrance. But I'm saying that and it's just THEORETICALLY there is a better form of society. The reason I'm not buying records today is that I'm too cheap to do it, and that I can download mp3s. Plus I've only listened to psytrance for a year or so so I don't really know what I like and not, and I don't want to buy lots of CDs just to buy it. I don't even know if I want to support the artists, because most of them spend lots of money on drugs, which I think is a bad thing. I know other genres do this too, probably more than in the psytrance scene, and I don't buy any CDs from them either. Some artists have too much money and some have too little, while they work the same amount of time. It's bullshit and that's my final point on this. What I said in the other thread that artists "should make $0 for each track" was just in THEORY if everyone was EQUAL and everyone helped. I guess you can say it's a communist way of thinking and I'm not sure if you understand it. I'm sorry that I pissed you off and that it caused so many hard feelings. I'll maybe buy one of your CDs to make it up to you. That Voice of Cod CD isn't half bad. I'm sorry for all the misunderstandings, on both sides. You don't have to reply to this because I won't read this thread again. It's done. Send me a PM if something's unclear.
  8. I don't really want to give money to those other big companies either, but I have to if I want to live like I do. With mp3s I have a choice. (Pretty much what you said) Nope, I haven't heard any bad words about those record labels, but I think the artists work alot harder than the people at the labels and make less money. It's like that in other genres anyway. My financial situation is that I owe the government $5000 or so. I don't really have a problem with it, because they're letting me loan it for a couple years with a long payment plan, but now you know. I think I'm gonna go with cinos' plan and send money directly to the artists, I mean, they're the ones doing all the work. Music is spread through tips on sites like psynews, on p2p network, and I download anything I can find that says psytrance, then I find out what artists I like and search for more. So they don't have to actively promote themselves through labels. I don't know about live acts though, but I don't go to many so I don't really want to get into it yet. Plus you pay for almost all parties anyway so I think it's all good. Now the problem is that I am just saying this, I probably won't send money to artists. I'll keep it in mind though, because it's a good thing to do. If I see a paypal donation link maybe I'll click it. I'm a little more open to paying now anyway. to Colin: I eat bread, but I don't feed the wheat. I don't think cows should be milked. It's painful (This is a joke comment. Please don't get mad at me for it. Sure, the milk part isn't a joke, but that's a whole different story)
  9. Not entirely disappear, but some parts of labels could be removed. The "making it available to more people" is just a joke. Maybe before internet this was true, but with mp3s the artists who make really good music will have their music spread and the bad artists will disappear. "finance them" is also a joke, since the labels eat the artist's money. Sure the labels help in some ways, but in some other ways they're just not needed. I really don't get your point. You're saying that I can buy expensive things, and other things I can choose to get for free or pay for, and I choose to get it for free. Now isn't that the most obvious statement of the day? Side note is that I don't buy bid brand clothes, cars... I don't need them, so why should I? What I meant by give money to businessmen was just that, give.
  10. There's a Swedish proverb that says "It's better to have one bird in the hand than 10 in the forest" and there's probably an English equivalent. What it means is that you should be happy with what you have. And for me it's something like "It's better to have 10 beers in your hand than 1 in the artist". It doesn't make much sense, so I don't know why I said it... What I'm trying to say is that if I buy an album it makes a bigger impact on my personal economy than it does to the artist, and if you look at the big (not the small ones, poor them) record companies that host hundreds of artists, you see who really are the thieves. As for the small record companies, I'm not sure how to act, so I don't do anything, because like I said, it's a bigger impact on my economy than theirs. I'll give it some thought though, and try to research more in detail how it works (not today, tomorrow or probably any time soon, but I'll definitely find out, then I'll definitely tell people about it.) Am I a bad person? I don't think I am, but I have my priorities.
  11. DISCLAIMER: IF YOU READ THIS POST YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS THAT YOU WILL SEND ME LOTS OF DOLLARS OR ELSE YOU'LL SPEND LOTS OF TIME IN JAIL BABY! I don't want to give money to businessmen. I just want to listen to music and I believe that welfare money is more than enough to live and make music. There, I said it. Edit: I'm sorry, I mean other things, but I can't explain, I'm already asleep, was just up looking for my camera (don't ask me why). I'll try to explain tomorrow my stand-point. Or the day after, or never. It doesn't matter anyway since we don't really have a choice. I'll try to keep promoting artists to my friends and thereby adding little coin to their pockets, but I won't spend my money. HEHE, I'M USING MY FRIENDS AND THE ARTISTS! What a stupid comment cangrejo. 5 beers, that's more than you've ever paid an artist unless you've bought more than 5 records. Lal, not like I ever would buy anyone 5 beers, but I'd rather keep my 10 beers than giving 9 to some businessman. Shame that the artist is the one to suffer, but I think my well being is more important than theirs. I mean, after all, I have to take care of myself. Maybe when I become rich from saving all this money I can buy a synth and make my own music. And then I'll have a website with mp3 downloads plus if you want high quality you can buy the damn CD. It's all a load of crap anyway. mp3 = free promotion so that the artist gets famous and invited to play at parties. Oh I sure know that it won't be enough money. This whole mp3 discussion is pointless though, because if everyone said it was ok to download noone would buy their CDs and they would die from starvation. STOP DOWNLOADING NOW, SEND A FEW $$$ IN THE MAIL TO YOUR "LOCAL" RECORD SHOP.
  12. I'd say that "Go buy the CD-R so I can burn it for ya" I don't really know why I'm not buying any psytrance cds. I'm pretty new to the whole scene and I used to buy some CDs back in the days when I listened to other genres of music... I guess that I don't really have much trust in the music industry as a whole, that's probably why. The artist'll only get 10% (I'm just guessing here) or so so what's 10 beers for me is just 1 for him. I'll buy him a beer at a party instead, or 5, or slip him a note in the underwear like you do to strippers... Sure I don't know how much work the label does to market the artist, but I bet it isn't much, because it's not often I see psytrance ads Now I have to get some sleep I'm too tired to think anyway. Gluuuuurgggblhghhhhavbaaaaaaaahhhhhhhb zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZzzZZzzZzZ
  13. Good point. Now if you would release the music to the public in the form of mp3s you'd solve that problem too. Maybe the time has come to remove the middle hands...
  14. I consider it stealing when you have something and you can share it without losing anything, but you decide not to share it. It's all a matter of definition.
  15. Sucks that they didn't make up track names for all tracks. It'll be like "what are you listening to? Ehh, track 41 "
  16. I know, but it doesn't matter, because that's the whole point. We would have alot more free time to do what's really living life, after we've taken care of our bodies' needs. ie. food.
  17. I'm thinking of buying a midi keyboard. I don't really need a synth because I don't think I'll ever play out of the house. However, if you know any synth in this price range that would do the same as a midi keyboard plus more I'm open for suggestions. Anyway, what I need is a keyboard, some sliders, maybe some pads. All pressure/speed/whatever you call it-sensitive of course. I've had my eyes on the KORG MicroKontrol for a while, but I've heard it has a very plastic feel, so I'm unsure. Does anyone have any experience with this keyboard? I'll probably also need to buy a new sound card, I've had my eyes on the Creative Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeMusic. Does anyone know if this is any good? It has a very low delay on the midi port, but that's about all I know about this sound card.

  19. Best part is that the "german" guy is Peter Stormare. He's quite an actor: Clicky
  20. Sounds like a healthy attitude.
  21. You can probably stop listening to music and fill the void with other things. Music however is, as far as I know, harmless, so it's a good habit. Anyway, by necessary I mean things that are necessary for the body to function, and don't worry, there'd be plenty of time, like I've stated countless number of times before, to make/listen to music. God, I'm starting to sound like a politician.
  22. I know most of you are against this kind of thing, I just wanted to let you know it isn't all bad. Sure, it's better to support the good artists, but if there is a record you really can't get your hands on, mp3 is a good solution.
  23. Dude where's my car? - I think infected mushroom stole it and repainted it... Maybe they need to do this to it:
  24. There's also some other song (I think it's by U2) with lyrics like "I'm not the only one, staring at the sun"
