  1. Ouch! Just waiting for the promo poster of this dude with no shirt on holding a Puppy! not my cup of tea! but sadly, millions will dissagree!
  2. get cubase sx and rewire reason.
  3. A solid album that's one step closer to the radio. These guys have been doing pop sideprojects recently and I guess now they're bringing the "pop" into their tunes and aiming at a wider audience. It's a matter of time before we see them on MTV.
  4. What's the point of slagging off psy-artists anyway? Especially when there are people lke this begging for abuse!
  5. Shakta - Kick the baby! That was f**king epic stuff!
  6. DJ Producer Bad Trip Counsellor Fallaffel Eater
  7. Cape Town, Easter, 1998. On the morning of a Flying Rhino outdoor party. Under a tree. With Dr Hoffman in head..... and Dominic Lamb in my ears! booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!
  8. check PAPS too! Not to mention Droidlock!!!! major flashbacks! Yeah, the French were on a really cool tip back then! I spun the hell out of their stuff! Bring back the fairly oldskool! booooooooooooooom!
  9. Ow! Is that a dagger sticking out of my back?! Just an easy example buddy! Wow, you are definately the most experienced producer on this Forum. Your advice would be awesome, but yet, you give none?! O.K, nice words..... but the Problem that Ben has is that IT DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT! So now what? How about some actual technical advice? You been in the game way longer EP...c'mon spill it!
  10. Celeron........Woah! I had really bad experience with my Celeron! I even changed my Soundcard because the latency was TERRIBLE. But after the new soundcard installation I still had programs like Reason freaking out under the strain and Cubase was still a joke. I am told that the Celeron is the WORST card for soft-synth based music production and basically anything that uses live real-time playback. They say it's a "Multimedia" processor that likes Games and DVD playback and that's all! I would suggest first getting a new Processor. Then a new soundcard! I got a P4 Hyper-Threaded beauty (P4 HT), and it changed my life! I use a silly little AUDIGY soundcard, and my P.C kicks ass! It's incredible! Awesome latency with ASIO at 48 000khz and it runs smooth! And Cubase and Reason are finally friends. Yay! boooooooooooooooom!
  11. hey, the guys from KoxBox/psycopod are 40 plus! And Raja Ram and Goa Gil are way over the hill! If you love it you'll never leave it! boooooooooooom!
  12. In my tracks I drop out this first bass note completely! I heard that this is what you are supposed to do?! It's called a "Bass Path" apparently and I am told that it is a golden rule! Anyway... works for me Seeing as though you should key your kick ( ie. make it the same note as the key of your track ), your kick will actually fill in this hole. So if you are using a 16 bassline, each bar it will look like this: "K" is kick "B" is Bassline "-" is no hit! K---K---K---K -bbb-bbb-bbb- see! Fits perfectly! It will also make a forward "pushing" effect on the sub speaker. It will creative a lot of movement in your bottom end! booooooooooooooooooom!
  13. Production skills <flame away!>, Songwriting and the fact that he was one of the first so he knows where Trance came from... not just where it's going. I saw him in Cape Town on NYE 2000! The organisers called him a day before he flew down for the show and asked him if he had anything special planned for the 2000 countdown.< He was playing at 12:00 and would bring in the New Year. > Unfortunately there was a break in commuinications and Simon had nothing planned. In 8 hours < or so the legend goes...> he cooked up "Milloonium". Before he got on the plane ! Now that's kick ass! He's solid. I have a lot of respect for good ol' Simon P. Legend has it that Steinberg test their new software on him. I never play his tunes cos they don't fit in my sets, but my favourite Hallucinogen track is "The Beautiful People". booooooooooom!
  14. try: SUB 6
  15. The Creation is toit. The rest is not so toit! A bit dissappointed on the whole. Seems as though they are trying to make more "Acid for nothing" tunes, wheras I want more Salvia Divinorum damnit!!! bom!

  23. I actually got to meet Skazi in 2002. He and Ashraf came to my house in Cape Town and we mixed and played Playstation. He's really cool guy and one of the most generous people out there. He's fully into developing other Trance acts, he even bought Xenomorph a new computer cause it was too slow. He's a super guy to hang out with. And he's got a great sense of humour. They are both great people to chat to/party with. Skazi makes music for the masses. He told me that he makes whatever people want to hear. When Animal came out it was the freshest, most cutting edge release of the year. Nowadays he seems to just do more of the same. Because it works at parties, and it brings in a lot of money. I understand why you guys hate his stuff, because he is probably the biggest name out there and logically would get the biggest amount of critisim. The only Skazi bashing I'm prepared to do is to say that his music is getting rather pooh! He himself is a cool guy. But I never play his music! It's certainly not Psy-trance..... it's Skazi. booooooooooooooooooooooooooom!
  24. Hey says with a nose full of CAT! lol Just kidding mate! I so agree with you. These bands need to keep it on the down-low before people hurt themselves and or cops shut down these parties worldwide. BTW. did you notice that the biggest drug advertisers in Trance are also the biggest commercial Trance bands... Skazi......1200 Mics... you know the rest. it's good to promote alternative culture, but pushing the concept of drugs to make more and more cash.... this is going too far. booom!
  25. Truth! When acid came into the US in the 60's, people started tripping, looking at life through different eyes and completely revolutionised their/our reality: In the 60's.... -Racism began to dissapate -Women became empowered, respected and allowed to vote -people became environmentally concious for the first time -People began to reject War on a mass scale for the first time. FLOWER POWER! PEACE MAAAAN! -Music exploded with new sounds(Hendrix, Beatles, Doors etc.) -Art flourished -and tie-die was invented! Big up to Albert Hoffman for changing the World! Psychedelics can show you many new things, but please be careful. They can be dangerous to your mental health. If you are going to try psychedelics, please read the facts before you take the plunge. http://www.erowid.org/psychoactives/psychoactives.shtml boooooooooooooooooooooooom!
