  1. Love the trance beat, was hoping they'd use elements like that after The God Particle. HAving seen the entire band live the danceable elements with straight up beats like that really carry the crowd high. Ordered both CD & Vinyl.
  2. My new stereo system http://www.stereophonic.com.au/dynaudio-focus-160-bookshelf/ http://www.stereophonic.com.au/marantz-mm7025-2-channel-power-amplifier/ http://www.stereophonic.com.au/dynaudio-sub-300-sub-woofer-floor-stock/ actually sounds pretty good for most stuff.

  4. ps Psy Jackson, how fucking original. What a joke.
  5. Hi mate here's an opinion from someone who was in Goa in the 80's. It's that shitters like you with a superior attitude over how music is supposed to sound & how people should behave that has turned what was once a scene of love & joy in just exisiting in to a scene of attitude and pure ego building. You sound like that guy from Elyisum, Kristian Thinning. All he ever did was complain abou thow the scen had crapped on him, just the same negative rubbish over and over until people got tired of it. I had a chat recently with my friend who is very big in the USA edm scene, and he knows what he's on about, I mean he was Aphen Twin's roadie for his first ever tour of the USA back in 95 or something, and the whole electronic scene see us as either old hippies with anegative attitude for the future or just as scene for drugs and little talent. I hate to say it but people like you just really prove the point. Get over yourself, that chica shouldn;t give a f#ck what you think and if she had 1% of self worth she'd just laugh at you and your pathetic opinion. You sound like a tired old record. Needs to been thrown out with the rest of the old school garbage.
  6. Really loving this label, have purchased all the CDs so far & have to say the service and quality of music is outstanding! Preordered for sure
  7. Good luck with this Draeke. You are doing an amazing job
  8. Hardware is not so expensive now-a-days. Arturia minibrute though designed for bass makes really great old Goa & Psy lead sounds for under $600. The Korg-MS20 mini also is around $600. Even Moog are putting a new pretty much pure analogue synth with enough knobs to make the biggest porn addict happy for $1000. You can buy an amazing fully anaologe modular synth from Pittsburgh Modular called the Foundation 2.0 for around $1500-1700. I can tell you now having played on my mates one that you would never need to buy another synth EVER soft or hard. Personally I'm currently spending $2000AUD on a custom designed modular set up from www.equinoxoz.com. I have produced music in the techno, house & drum & bass scene in Australia for the last 5 years using software. Even including the incredible Omnisphere nothing soft comes close to a proper 100% analogue synth or drum machine. Do you really think software can duplicate the patching "mistakes" & artifacts that modular synth can make? A moudalr synth changes just from slight temperature variations in the room. I can spend a day patching up an amazing lead, then come back the next morning whenit's been cold overnight to find it is outputting a completely amazing new sound. No software can give you the kind of inspiraton that patching & tweaking a proper analogue synth can. I really couldn't care less about AP. They were great in the 90's and even early '00s. They have had agreat period & owned the trance scene in general for along time. It's time to let the new breed take over. Despite some new acts getting a bit stuck in one style, there are some amazing sounds being made as well and I think the scene needs to move on. I prefer to have someone buy their old DATs and put them out. I;m sure tye have hundreds!
  9. Cannot wait, in the last 6 months I have managed to buy every single Suntrip release direct form the label (despit the shiping cost to Australia) so cannot wait to add this to my collection. Keep up the amazingly good work all the crew.
  10. Gotta say this is a great compilation except for the overly cheesey Goasia track. Seriously that flute line thing & the sitar type sound is really bad. It's like music for a little toddler.
  11. Anybody here into as well? I"m currently paying off my start up modular synth. The gear will consist of: TIptop Audio: All drum modules & 2 x Z3000 MKII Pittsburgh Modular: 1 x Dual Index Acidlabs: Autobot sequencer Metasonix: R51 Frequency Central: Loop/Env (DruidADSR) TouellSkouarn: Strakal Brulu I found my Mini Moog & DSI Poly Evolver PE keyboards so limiting compared to modular/patch work. Unlimited sounds & the ability to build as I grow. I've sold my Mini Moog, and my DSI PE Keyboard is almost gone. I'm considering and xOxbOx but not sure.
  12. Not much of a year in psy for me but this year my purchased have been: Entire Suntrip CD catalogue (except Ka-Sol, Goasia & Daze Of Our Lives - plan to get at the Suntrip sale) Entire DAT Records CD catalogue (can;t for new Etnica!!) Entire Boshke Beats & Horns n Hoofs Entertainment CD catalogue direct from label.
  13. Great band, I helped finance their last tour here in Australi and met with Adam (aka Nergal) just before he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Really smart guy, has done much study and their music is heavily researched to ensure it's a sfactual as possible (I mean religion IMHO is mostly fiction, but if it makes you happy ot believe in it then go ahead). Now that he is healthy again I was chatting via email, they are touring currently and slowly working on a new album that shou;d be out in 2013. His vocals are great, up there with Opeth for sure. Also he does some great guitar work and the drumming is very very nice. They put out a great DVD & CD box set last year with lots of concert footage and interviews. Amazing band, they have progressed in sound so quickly compared to many others in similar style that become very generic and stagnant in their style with no progress.
  14. New track from the new album of Australia's Psycroptic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv04q2gFI2k New Cannibal Corpse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rlo5gXP3FfU New Napalm Death: New Meshugga:

  16. Local heavy metal shop was having closing sale so:
  17. Messy but: And some of the CDs I like of various styles:
  18. Anyone else seen this? Most insane film ever IMHO. I managed to have a friend purchase an uncensored DVD overseas for me. The newborn porn scene seriously has blown my mind. I thought Two Girls One Cup etc. was bad but to me now seem harmless & fun. I wish my curiosity had not got he better of me, but once I started watching this I could not turn away. I feel sorry for Serbia, what a place to have movies like this come out of it
  19. me no understand what fuss or topic is about!?
  20. Music is what you make of it IMHO. The scene has not been very innovative for a number of years, but that does not mean it is dead or dying. Every music style goes with period of stagnation. Pop has been this way sine the early 00's, heavy metal was for the second half of the 90's & first half of of the 00's and I'm sure many other style also. But Drum n Bass is making a pretty strong comeback as it the harder techno styles and heavy/extreme metal has come in leaps n bounds in the last 2-3 years. I am sure something will eventually happen in this scene, but there is quality progressive, forest and chiilout which while not always innovative it is pleasing to my ears and I manage to find betwen 15-30 CDs in this scene a year that I am happy to spend on which is more than any other genre of music (except maybe progressive house & techno a la Balance Music series & Digweed style). End rant
  21. Astral Profail IMHO. Just release it, even if you released it independently and digital only you'd make a small fortune. Waiting waiting waiting waiting.

  23. I had been into The Prodigy, trance, techno & gabba/hardcore. I was shopping for music and saw a Tantrance cover (vol. 6). The picture & wording grabbed my attention. That night over lots of smoking funky green stuff, me and my friends listened endlessly to the CD (Sandman - End Of The World seriously blew my mind). I fell in love with the music then & there. I went to many Aussie gigs but never felt a real part of the culture, I was only into the music & never the lifestyle associated. That's how it is for me today, love the music but haven't been to a gig in about 5 years.i followed all the trends of minimal, early prog & dark night styles. Now I mostly like the current Iono, Tesseract Studios, Iboga style of progressive. I know it's not very Psychedellic but it's what is "the shit" at my current age
