I listen to lots of ambient music. This is one of the worst I've ever heard.

I'm curious the general processes used by the pros.... Do you design whole/partial tracks on paper or mentally beforehand, or just build it on the fly? Do you make a lot of sounds and save them up to pick from, or make them as you need them? At the end do you go add a whole bunch of lasery sounds to make it "psychedelic"? Other information would be nice.

Maybe... I only listened to Distant System in depth so far and it's really good... especially the first few tracks, then it gets a little mellow and boring for a few tracks, but I like it more than 95% of Ultimae stuff.

One of the worst releases I've ever heard. Not really music, just some random sounds and atmospheres in most tracks. Nothing original here, it's been done much better 10 years earlier, so it gets 1/10. BTW the title "Nekton falls" doesn't really make much sense. I guess they just thought that sounded coolest and most people wouldn't know the difference.

I think I must say... on second listen, many of the other tracks are probably better, I just focused on that since it was the title, I agree there are some cheesy parts in it.

Omg what do u guys think of this? Looks like they (Oly Owen + Chris Kovax) struggled to find a balance between goa and rock, but I think this track is pretty good, better than the original mix for sure.

I think it passed unnoticed since no mention of goa or psy or trance or anything, it could only be found by searching for Transwave (even Hynorhythm was spelled wrong). I asked the seller and they said it was in good condition... no details though... I guess they probably didn't know it was a rare CD at all.

I maintain my opinion that there's 4 great tracks on IFO: Maia, Alycone, Electra and Calaeno. I can barely stand to listen to the others, they just don't have it. Tetrahedron is all pretty decent but nothing out of this world as IFO had.
