  1. Um why? I hate people who think all CDs must be for playing on a dancefloor. Don't buy it if you don't want, but I personally hope half the tracks are ambient and downtempo.
  2. Umm yes, Trosk is 100% correct. Good artists don't dally behind in genres that already peaked producing the same old music, they move on, and psytrance has become for the most part a wasteland for inferior artists just copying something that was already done. This moving on is just adding something new at least, which probably takes them beyond "psytrance", which is a quite narrowly defined concept. Also I think there's less effort and life put into the music now for the reasons it's easier to release and the audience is quite large and stupid.
  3. I can say these are all good: woob, Ulf Söderberg, Atrium Carceri (but kinda boring... very minimal true ambient stuff)
  4. EN Voice is pretty good. :clapping: The 2nd album much better than the first!!!!
  5. Magik Universe and Earth Crossing are 2 of the best IMO and were 2000, 2002. But it seems the hard goa psy sound got a little too popular and more and more crappy music was produced by people that shouldn't be producing music, and fewer good artists remained. Maybe it was somewhat exhausted.... There's been lots more innovation in ambient and downtempo trance music post 2000, but you can't say what the future will hold....
  6. Definitely a masterpeice! Great melodies...... Best track is #1, then #3, and all the others are good too.
  7. Troll what? Half these threads are full of people saying "different tastes" so I figure we should just discuss it here.
  8. I ordered most Cardamar Records CDs from 1 place or another, only couldn't find a couple. :drama:
  9. I think we can all agree that Megan Fox is hot, so why can't we all agree on certain musical artists? Why do some people praise the weaker tracks and show no affection for the best ones? I guess it's not because of different tastes, but because people hear the music differently. Less intelligent people simply cannot perceive and understand the music the same as I do. Since I consider myself one of the more intelligent, and believe I fully comprehend these musics when I listen to them, I will say these others are wrong (though this may appear a little egoistic). All people are not equal, sorry, so let's not pretend about "different tastes"... some people are simply unable to appreciate higher notions of art than others.
  10. Halo is simply an amazing hypnotic track full of mysteriously and oriental sounds! Pure is pretty good, but fails to progress unfortunately. Most of the other tracks are not very good compared to these. Halo is one of my favorite tracks evar!!!!
  11. Rofl! Loraine was the 1 decent track as far as I got it...... because the first half had a catchy melody if I remember. Having 1/2 a good track and a lot of shitty tracks doesn't make an album good to me though....
  12. You have to be 40 years old to appreciate goa trance? I think not. And if you think modern psytrance output is better than it, then you are almost alone in that. There are no essential albums past 2002 or 2003 IMO.
  13. Ten crappy albums. I wouldn't wish it upon anything I placed value on.
  14. CROP CIRCLES - LUNAR CIVILIZATION (AURACLE RECORDINGS, 1997)
  15. Mystical Sun - Deeperworlds Even if only for the track Halo. :posford: :posford: :posford: :posford: :posford:
  16. D.I.D. - Alycone is really nice. There's like millions of obscure stuff. Just try browsing some people's collection on discogs like draeke, ujws, ukiro, etc.
  17. Really loving this track right now. :posford:
  18. Secede - Tryshasla... Lol this album is SO BAD I couldn't stand to listen to the end, tried like 4 times.
  19. Tracklisting: 1 Further Up; Further In (12:08) 2 None Can Fathom (9:23) 3 Numinous Experience (5:26) 4 Foreign Shores (9:12) 5 Fog And Other Elements (10:52) 6 Purple Mountain Majesties (10:01) 7 Day's End (3:28) Style: Ambient, Techno (maybe) How to describe?! Just very beautiful sounds and atmosphere mixed with well developed beats and percussion. This music really has soul and feeling to it. All the tracks here are great hypnotic chillout peices, making this one of my favorite chill CDs so far. Best Tracks: 1!!!, 2!!, 3, 4 9/10 IMO
  20. I love that track actually, but most of his on general suck.
  21. Seems this is maybe the best chillout label I've heard to date... nothing really bad I've heard on it yet, and the Cardamar and S. Zeilenga and some others albums are really good. PS: I DON'T really think the Easily Embarrassed album is that good. :drama:
  22. I listened to Treasure a few times... decent enough "plain ambient" but not that interesting for me either.
  23. I really like Cardamar's style (Steam and Where Skies End albums). And I think Essential Trip - Trip To Inner Self is one of the best psychill albums too.
