  1. I don't doubt that Avi and Lior are great guys and I like them and wish them the best, but that is a neverending story with the album here... All we get is track snippets, cuts from livesets and speculations and the rumor kettle boiling. Not that the situation is not interesting and probably even artistic in itself, but I would much prefer seeing an album from these guys finally released. There is nothing happening since years, it always gets postponed... I actually begin to have doubts that this will ever come out. Anybody can argue against? Please do, I would be happy if anybody could... Fun fact: I remember in the course of my last postings here (which were some time ago), I mentioned that three of my favourite artists have this "album taking forever syndrome". It was S-Range, Astral Projection and Etnoscope. Now Etnoscope are out of the race as their album got released last year! So it's now a head to head between S-Range and AP ... and now, after reading the last developments, I would place my bet that S-Range will release before AP. We could open a betting contest
  2. Well, I have nothing against the music sounding techy, after all I feel very comfortable with synth frequencies and started to listen to electronic music for the reason that it doesn't contain organic instruments... But I nowadays see it as an interesting element when tracks contain organic instrument sources. This element, however, will only as long stay interesting to me as this doesn't get a too common practice Anyway, here is another recommendation for you: Klangstrahler Projekt. They are more known for using guitars than other string instruments, but they do have these too. I listened to them a lot in the past, I had their first two albums ... then it somehow got silent around them and meanwhile they released a bunch of other stuff, but I failed to keep up, so don't ask me about the more recent releases... Anyway, I'm sure you'll like them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtVgs9TvsCo Or this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-vTb2tbzEk
  3. Nice ideas, the tracks you posted are very good I like organic instruments too, but I don't think they fit in everywhere. In this one they fit - if the melody is even played on an organic instrument, because I have my doubts. But at least you could play this on an organic one and it would still sound great IMO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHWonf-7qj8
  4. Interesting style. It's good to give this thing a name; to me it appeared that many fullon that I heard on parties lately went more and more into this direction, mixing it with darker sounds and such... I was already thinking that fullon got attractive to me, but it seems it's not like that
  5. Got it! It's great for me to hear new stuff from Panzar Produktionz - fresh, crunchy and tasty. And you're still releasing it for free. Man, this is awesome I can only recommend people to get this
  6. Awesome finds. I especially like the third one, Dancing Galaxy is one of my favourite AP tracks ... I wonder if I had instantly recognized the origin of the track...
  7. I like the basketball court on the right

that's at least a really good explanation
  9. Yes, it's true that the game does not have much of a tribal setting. But when I run across the roofs of the city on the run from the guards, I'd have nothing against it... But it might also be the music that I knew from Jesper before (UT) that makes me expect the tribal sound. Yes, the release of the game was far too rushed. They should have beta tested it some months and many glitches would have been fixed at the release. The PS3 version came a bit later, so the worst problems were not there ... but only after the Titan Pack and Patch combo this game lives up to its true greatness and it's such a pity so many people got turned down by that time already. There really aren't that many players anymore... I'm still a huge fan though, in my eyes this is the second best UT after the first one .... so I still play the occasional deathmatch on PS3
  10. I am ... having diarrhea. Was so stupid to drink non tap water on a campsite. But it really is not only me to blame about this. Why are the guys there so stupid to make two sanitary houses one next to each other, the one with drinking water, the other with a small non tap water symbol on the outside. First day I only registered that water was ok to drink from the tap in the sanitary house. And then I woke up in the morning quite wasted with a cottonmouth and swayed blindly into one of the two to drink - and it was the wrong one. Well, I went to the doc, got antibiotics and some stuff to reconstruct my intestine bacteria. But the last days I felt like shit (litterally).
  11. Yeah, I know what you mean. And it's not that I am not glad. I like it here. It's just like sometimes when I say "Vienna" people go all "oh, how beautiful" and whatsoever ... and I then always feel like I should object. I know I have it a thousand times better than the people in american slums (that's how I call these crackhouse quarters) ... I even really can say that because I read the story of a man who lived in such a crackhouse for a fortnight (and survived), heavy stuff... Vienna is a paradise compared to that ... hell, I even could leave the streets now, at night, on foot, and come back safely. You can't do that everywhere...
  12. tsk ... why don't you come back? It's a shame so few people are playing this game anymore, it's great, I don't understand...
  13. I am from Austria. No I'm not going to post the song (there is one that goes like that and I feel kinda that aaaaalll Austrians are obliged to like it, I don't)... I am from Vienna though, which is a shit town imo. Don't listen to people who have been here as tourists, they may find it nice, but living here is different. The upperclass districts are nice with their huge flats and big beautiful old houses, but the lowerclass scum buildings are crap. As I can't afford the former, I live in the latter. People scream on the streets, they scream in the yard (that some kids shall keep it down or it's an immigrant family quarrelling), bums sleeping in the alleys nearby, they broke into my cellar twice and if you leave anything on the street it gets stolen. I'd have committed suicide if I was not having a big park in walking distance from my house... No, I'm not going to post pictures, I'm so fed up of the town being so full of people I only hate it. If you dig something up, you may find it nice. And for a tourist it even is. And don't think I am that grumpy, if you come here, I'll be happy to meet up
  14. But at least the riots have been going down in Britain now, have they? ... Right now I'm drinking Whisky and preparing for a Zen Mechanics set at the pool...
  15. Hi folks, just for your information, we've now merged the "Other Art" section ("Movies" & "Books and Literature" forums) into OffTopic. It's not gone, in case you wonder
  16. thanks for this I love old Amiga demos and their music... now I understood why the Unreal folks let him do the music for the third Tournament ... all Unreal music producers so far had their roots in this demoscene ... maybe they even knew each other ... so great... (sorry, I am a bit Unreal crazy, hehe ... jeez, hold me back, hold me back! hehe...) okay. Hey, Penzoline, just by the way, do you know if Jesper Kyd also did this E3 trailer song of the new Assassin's Creed Revelations? http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=bavMvN_1WOg
  17. This I have for you. Industrial/goth mixed with psychedelic ... very interesting, listens somehow like you have something sweet in your mouth and then add something salty. Very weird, but the overload of tastes makes it intense. This is practically the same sound-wise IMO. Mortiis - Gibber (Pig Remix): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rowp5f_zYL0
  18. I am playing Assassin's Creed II these days and I also have to admit that the music is nice. Jesper Kyd is a good musician ... although I do not necessarily like his Assassin's Creed pieces so much. Jesper's atmosphere is tribal in nature, but I feel he is sometimes not leaving ambient soundscapes when I would actually wish that he would ... and that is what gives his Assassin's Creeds music a bit of a hold back, like if the tribal-ness was kept on a leash an the percussions have to hide ... which is a bit of a pity. The best for me is, that Jesper Kyd is the same guy that also has contributed to the Unreal Tournament III soundtrack UT3 soundtrack is by Rom Di Prisco and Jesper Kyd. And in that game Soundtrack, Jesper IMO really shows what he can do by unleashing this tribal energy that I feel is held back in Assassin's Creed music sometimes. This one is awesome for example ... one of my favourites of the UT soundtrack - mostly also because it's the soundtrack of the Sanctuary map, which is one of my favourites ... but here you can hear the percussions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SffSrmolD0&feature=related Or maybe I just was too influenced by UT before playing AC and went in with the desire to hear a comparable soundtrack, I don't know.

Sounds at least way better than intestinal parasites Seriously though, when I really have to go to the doc for this shit, I'll mention the parasites thing to him. But until then ... no, I don't believe it. If I ever had parasites, I'd expect different symptoms. Also, if there ever were any, I believe they ought to be dead long time, buried below the peat of all the whisky I'm drinking... To the "attraction theory" I have to say that I don't want to believe it ... but maybe there is truth in it. For example, when I go out and there are bums, insane or other strange people they tend to ask me for a dollar or to help them. Not anybody else ... even though they might look richer or better in many ways. I have a sort of magnet for these troublesome people. Probably it's a magnet for their spirit, just like it's a magnet for the spirits you mention? I don't know. But overall, I tend rather not to believe in this so much. What should attract them? And why me? It makes no sense. Overall, maybe the intestinal parasite thing is easier to cure. Although I don't believe it's that either.

    Insomnia

I sometimes have sleep paralysis, but it occurs rarely. The first time was many years ago and I was really scared, saw a black figure floating above me and stuff, really freaked me out. But gladly I found out pretty quickly that it was harmless sleep paralysis. Thing is, I meanwhile can seperate states of sleep paralysis quite well from something else. And I have them very very rarely. When I'm sleep paralyzed, I hear a ringing in my ears, coming from the hissing of the blood ... and it feels like lead weights strapped to my arms and legs. It was nothing at all like that this time. Plus, I was in full control of every move. I panicked because of the palpitations ... my heart felt like it was struggling to keep some sort of rhythm ... it did not have a straight beat. At least it felt like that, I don't know. I then went out of bed, walked through the flat because I was really scared to just pass out. My hands were cold, I never have cold hands in summer. And also, my eyes twitched, I could not see straight. Some muscles twitched aswell ... and if they were not, it felt like they were just about to. It was very strange, it felt like the whole nervous system was loaded to the point where it was activating spontaneously without me wanting to ... it was really bad, because it affected everything, movements of extremities as well as thoughts. It almost felt like there was something foreign in my body, in my head. And that's what really made me so scared.

    Insomnia

Might be time for a new pillow then. I had some horrible eposide in the night before last night. Woke up after 4.5 hours sleep, had palpitations and a panic. My eyes and some body muscles were twitching ... very strange and I was quite scared. I checked the web and found out it could be caused by hypoglycemia ... how strange. I then drank some orange juice and it eventually got better. Could it really have been such a thing? I'll have to look out for that.

    Insomnia

The thing with work making tired is actually true in the way that I sleep well when I'm very exhausted ("honest day's work" is often not enough, I sometimes even do sports and it's not enough). Sleep comes over me like velvet on those occasions, it's great. But I can't afford to exhaust my body like that so often, it goes on my substance. Last time I was really exhausted I was kinda feeling numb all the next day too and couldn't be productive at all... And I already had the case where the exhaustion (of, for example, going bouldering), pushed me further so that I got agitated in the evening instead of tired and then, mixed with the fear feelings resulting from the sleep deprivation I had accumulated, I had a horrible night and slept maybe two hours which was even worse than the nights before.

  24. I would offer to clean it up for you, but I'm unfortunately, unfortunately living so far away ... If I were in Britain now though, I'd hide in the attic too -- with a gun loaded chock full with salt to give hell to any bastards wanting to vandalize my property Seriously, what's going on in your country -- the country where you normally get fined when you step on the lawn or piss in a back alley...
