  1. ELAD ;-) please tell us, that this track will be available as digital download or on CD. i need this, not just on youtube ;-) thanks!
  2. chris liebing himself called his music "schranz" at one time and that was pretty much the point when they found a genre-label for this kind of sound. today you will find a lot of rubbish under that moniker, but if you do not take the name "schranz" to seriously but look for productions from that time you will find a lot of interesting stuff. start with chris' old label "fine audio" and the older releases from about 1999, especially number 7 and its remixes. maybe you also try gf - electronic lessen pt.1 & 2, marchetto & scheurer - movements and structures. then you might like to check thomas chrome - burned out for a more funky approach. if you want more abrasive stuff, definitely check old surgeon, james ruskin or regis albums on downwards and tresor. and if you need more wicked tunes, cristian vogel - body mapping, tobias schmidt - dark of heartness or neil landstrumm - bedrooms & cities might get a vote. have fun and tell us what you like for more recommendations, ok?
  3. this sounds very promising. i hope they will put some old non-album tunes on the remix-album (think insomnie, orphee, mohamour, xy) as goodies on the remix-album...or maybe as digital downloads only. these are too great to be forgotten...
  4. Just for your Info, this is not the Maurizio (Moritz von Oswald) known by his M-series releases or from his work on Basic Channel, but an Italian guy who is named Maurizio (Micelli). I find this kind of misleading. Actually, the music is kind of allright, but nowhere in the league of the quality that you find on the original M-Series or Basic Channel. Think about it, most of the stuff Moritz von Oswald did is 12 years older than the stuff in the mix...
  5. i would recommend juno too. it is the fastest for me, the quality of the mp3 is high (you can even buy WAV), the connection is really fast (5 times faster than beatport). prices are also okay. amazon costs less, but they do seldomly offer 320kbps files.
  6. draeke, thanks for the info. i guess we all are sure, that this will be a very important release for the goa/psy world. i already see this album pop-up in all top-10 lists and replace the blue planet album.
  7. well, actually it would be 'T.I.T.', but I understand that you chose to call it that way 100% agree, maybe even a higher chart-place. it still strikes me, that one of the best albums did not see a proper release. BTW Jon, how would you place the Crop Circles album in your list?
  8. there are threads about this, but to answer your question: CD1: remastered, released material (most of it only available on vinyl or various compilations), CD2: remastered, unreleased material, except last 3 tracks which apply to the formula of CD1 ;-)
  9. to everyone who did not notice... they put up some new stuff there: vinyl tracks from albums and singles.
  10. Transwave's Phototropic album is available on Juno-Download as of today. Costs 8.86 EUR for the 320 kbps download. They have a lot of old school classics already in their catalog and more and more are coming. I think this is ok. Many Goa classic second-hand CDs are so ridiculously overpriced. I still prefer CDs, but if some label will kick out the Etnica Juggeling Alchemists album, I will gladly buy it whatever format it is.
  11. very, very good. samples of the "new" tracks sound awesome & finally we get MIDIAN on CD.
  12. wow, i really love "fly with me". are you planning to release this one somewhere, somehow? would be great! edit: this track reminds me a little bit of binary finary - 1998 (in a good way).
  13. this is a really nice, uplifting old-school track. thanks, i had a good time ;-)
  14. i guess it is some kind of burned CD. it does not seem to be a proper pressing, as you can obtain that CD only from northern exposure. i would not think that it is a problem to order from them, the price is relatively low compared to a second hand issue of blue planet and they have the licence to distribute the music. otherwise you can get it as WAV or MP3 from junodownload, beatport, trackitdown and the likes (+ other high-in-demand albums are available there).
  15. here are some vids for you (no particular order or "best song of that band"): Gorefest - Soul Survivor Bolt Thrower - No guts no glory http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxU0C8XoLns Sentenced - Nepenthe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0L-YJ-KUMGo Anathema - A Dying Wish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7updC6lHt4 Amorphis - Drowned Maid Aardvarks - Homeless Benediction - Nightfear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5PgfnUkKRg Crowbar - The Only Factor Down - Stone the Crow Entombed - Wolverine Blues http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNQve866m0g Fear Factory - Replica http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZtj-wN404A In Flames - Only for the Weak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-744BG0kEI Machine Head - Davidian http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wm0TA5FJ3k Pantera - Cemetery Gates Soilwork - Nerve http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2-qa-e_SJk Swallow the Sun - The Justice of Suffering Tiamat - Whatever That Hurts Tool - Sober As I Lay Dying - Meaning in Tragedy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r609O2lQukY...feature=related ... and so on ;-)
  16. Principles of Flight for me is a combination of "The Delta"-like dark, brooding Psy-Trance (think Scizoeffective), "Coheed and Cambria" graphic-music conversion and a little bit of "The Black Cauldron" fairy-tale mystique. What you get with this album is a complete package of music, graphic and story. This is quite unusual for common dance-music and worth respect. The most interesting thing about this is the combination of the graphic story-telling and the music. If you let yourself get involved into the story, the music will hold you, even the "repetitive" parts. This album is intense in its musical approach - much more than "Night-time Lullabies". It is darker and harder, but less "goaesque" than its predecessor. You find more monotone, repetitive parts in the dance tracks, but much more mystique and angst in the interludes. The classical string-interludes are the most exciting parts of the album. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of stand-out tracks. The album as a whole is great, but I can not choose "the best track" right now - on the other hand I did not expect that from a concept-album either. The production is top-notch, transparent and loud. Honestly I am not sure what grade I could give, but it would not be less than 9/10. PS: As you can see with my avatar, I like Woofy a lot ;-)
  17. finally, some small news about this: http://blueplanetcorporationmusic.blogspot...-furniture.html
  18. whew, you made my day. this is absolutely awesome! thumbs up!! are you planning to release this on a label?
  19. yes, the soundtrack is nothing new, but i think it fits perfectly to the film. i would probably have never bought it, if i had not seen the film. sadly there still is no DVD available for this film. as this is more or less no commercial movie and you can only see it in selected theatres (what a shame really), i guess they will leave some time and then come out with a cool version with subtitles and bunches of extra material. another nice film to watch is "wholetrain", a grafitti-sprayer movie.
  20. i think it is good that you are able to buy the records at least in this way, when the CD or the vinyl is completely sold out and you can only get it second hand (and even that with problems). if there is no re-release of a CD in sight, this is at least a way to get to the music legally (and hopefully the artists also get their money through those download-portals). for me personally, i like junodownload more, because their catalog of psy, drum and bass and (detroit) techno is more enhanced. but i hope these portals would feature more stuff from extinct labels or from 12"-only releases. some tracks are nearly impossible to get in proper quality, but are too good to be forgotten (like so much Blue Room Released stuff). maybe a specialist for psy/goa would be good, because the big ones are not too interested in this kind of music and concentrate more on minimal.
  21. superstition was a strong label at that time and released a lot of timeless trance stuff. you can still listen to the first 3 l.s.g. albums, the humate best-of, quasar flightrecorder, etc. and they still do not feel aged (at least to me). one thing that is really special is his distaste for sounds that everyone else uses. is there one oliver lieb track that actually features a 303? (i like the 303, don't get me wrong)
  22. wait, let me get this right: you just gave a comment on repetiveness of the "club-mixes", that are supposed to be mixed by DJs and thus feature enlengthened parts (3 minutes per track). the POF-albums are conceptual pieces that work best in their entirety. that clearly emphasizes the importances of the interludes and downtempo parts. you should really give the actual album a re-listen. if you liked parts of the club-mixes, i guess you might think better of the real album.
  23. problem with "experience" is, that most of the tracks here are remixes that are not as strong as the originals on the singles. the original of "your love" and "charly" (charly single), g-force 1 and everybody in the place (everybody.. single), fire (fire single), ruff in the jungle bizness are better on the singles (IMHO). nonetheless i would choose "jilted" over "experience", because it is more matured and a conceptual work rather than a track-compilation. i do not care about the last albums and FOTL has its highs and it's ultra-lows.
  24. hehe, good side blow. it still pisses me off, that psyshop does not carry the record. i am still hoping for you, pifpafpof, to sell me a copy.
  25. does anyone know if "dancing with the blue spirit" is going to be released? it is a good track.
