  1. I've ordered this from saikosounds and can hardly wait until this arrives! I've been listening to the samples and haven't been this stoked about an album for a long time! Suntrip albums are giving me hope that the psychedelic scene will come full circle and people will return to the elemental sounds of some of the most magical music ever produced in the history of trance!
  2. Wow - I have fairly open tastes in music, but after receiving this album and giving it some listening time I have to admit it's really bad. To be fair, there are some nice melodies and sounds going on. Even though I like some full-on, the bassline in most of these tracks completely overtakes the track and absolutely wrecks everything else. The melodic elements and basslines in most of the tracks seem to be completely separate entities that clash and don't work together at all.
  3. While I can appreciate that this album is not for everyone and that there are a lot of different tastes, I would add the disclaimer that the samples of this album aren't really good indicators of why this album is so good. The samples don't really do justice to how some of the more oustanding tracks evolve, build and progress; and in the latter half of the album this is what makes it so outstanding IMO.
  4. I must leave a comment on the track Eye of the Beholder. The entire album progresses towards this magnificent, epic climax with the last three tracks defining why trance properly done can be a power without description. The emotion in Eye of the Beholder is beyond words. The acid line toward the start of the track brings every delicious promise of what is to come, and by the end of this track, the only thing I can manage to feel is absolute transdimensional blissed out euphoria and shivers of pleasure. This is a rush of musical ecstasy at its peak. Music that liberates your mind and lets it trip into trance. For me, this album redefines the concept of psychedelic trance music.
  5. That's funny that both Psygone - Optimystique and Color Box - Train to Chroma City are mentioned. I have had both those albums for a long time and enjoy both of them quite a bit, especially the Color Box album.
  6. I've just found Nervasystem & Aether - The Mama Matrix Most Mysterious. I find this album fantastic! However, I find this album has little to no critical acclaim and for me was a diamond in the rough for the finding. I would love to hear from anyone here who can share information on other albums that may be obscure or were not hugely popular but that you consider to be great gems of psychedelic music that somehow slipped below the radar of classic popularity. I have most of the "Goa greats" in my collection and am now looking to expand that collection with more eclectic psychedelic music that stands out to you.
  7. These samples actually interested me in psychedelic music again. I think this might be on the wishlist for my next music purchase.
  8. I just stumbled across two tracks on Slackbaba - And The Beat Goes Ohm: Metatron's Sugar Cube and Drink More Tea. Hoooooooooly, but where can I find more music like this? Any recommendations?
  9. You produce such beautiful and spiritual music. Of all the better known neo-Goa producers, you are the one who stands out to me for keeping the magic and spirit alive. When I listen to your work, I feel it touch that spot inside that makes my spirit soar and makes me feel the pull into the spiritual realm where the wonder and magic of possibilities makes me feel so alive. I bow to people such as you who have that talent to tap into that source. Your music is a psychedelic; it makes me trip. I get this feeling of standing alone in a beautiful valley with snow covered peaks all around and my arms oustretched listening to the sounds of silence and feeling the eternal, boundless life force that makes it all work. I have never understood why you don't produce an artist album. P.S. Sorry for the edits: It was hard to get my feelings into words.
  10. Listening to it as we speak! I really enjoy this music.
  11. Androcell - Efflourescence Entheogenic - Golden Cap (on the way) Perpetual Loop - Universal Flow (on the way)
  12. Are you not aware that for collector purposes a damaged cover is probably worth far more in the long run? Or maybe that doesn't matter to you. I'm a perfectionist, but I'm pretty excited to have it as it is. You can say you got it "way back when" :-)
  13. I love discovering all the older stuff, but I'm talking more about being able to attend Goa parties and experience the vibe. Although to be honest, I've only been to one psy party. The music wasn't Goa; but I still had a really good time. It was a small 3-day festival and on the main night Space Tribe was the headliner. I'm going again in a few weeks and Shiva Jorg will be the headliner.
  14. The truth is, most people don't want the kind of music anymore. I have been travelling around eastern Canada on vacation for the past few days and visited with psyheads in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. When I ask about the psy scene and ask if Goa is being played, nearly everyone is saying that it is okay once in a while but that it is mostly old and boring and no one wants to listen to it on a party. Too bad that I didn't discover psy during the peak of Goa trance.
  15. Good going Ritual! Even if I didn't win, it was a lot of fun and brought some life to the boards.
  16. When I was new to Goa and to e-bay, I paid so much for Transwave - Helium that I'm ashamed to ever admit how much I spent. All I can say is that it was so insane that it can't ever be repeated. I didn't know how ebay worked and started bidding several days early and I'm guessing that the seller or seller's friend artifically jacked up the price by continually raising the bid. Either that or there was someone else as insane as I was. Generally, when I want an album badly enough, money is not an issue.....but this blew even those limits....I still shudder to think about it because I see Transwave - Helium sell quite regularly for a tiny fraction of what I shelled out for it.. .....live and learn.

    Skazi

Oh yea, I forgot Shpongle....they've carried Shpongle for a long time.

    Skazi

eerrrrrm.....the local HMV music outlet here in Vancouver has started to carry a limited selection of psychedelic and Goa.....very limited mind you. Yesterday I found Hallucinogen, Cosmosis, Infected Mushroom, X-Dream and.....Skazi. I have never seen a real live Skazi album before, so I had to stop and stare in reverential horror while a few of you guys crossed my mind.
  19. Pick me! Pick me! :-) I missed the glory days of Goa trance since I only discovered psy and Goa a year and a half ago. I've only been able to attend one psy party, so have pity on this poor ole soul. LOL I'm filling out my classic Goa trance collection and don't have MFG - The Prophecy. I only have New Kind of World, but I would absolutely love to have it added to my collection.
  20. Go figure.....I never have a burning desire to go to Saikosounds except I was at work all day today waiting to get home to listen to the samples of MFG's new album. Of all the days for their site to go down.
  21. Patience young SkyWalker. I was in your shoes a little over a year ago. Hours and hours on the internet searching through E-bay and online music shops and you will slowly but surely find about anything you want in the realm of Goa and older psy. Be prepared to pay because some of it doesn't come cheaply. It really depends how badly you want it.
  22. Simply amazing brother. That was the best 9 minutes 49 seconds of my week. Don't ever stop and keep spreading the message.
  23. There are sniping programmes I use that let you set your maximum bid days/weeks ahead. It does the rest and drops your maximum bid in the last 2 seconds before the auction closes. You fill up your snipe account with points that you purchase and depending on the selling price it deducts a few points. It does the bidding for you automatically and then confirms your win, so you don't need to be online. It's always worked perfectly for me, and I've always gotten what I want unless the price is beyond my maximum bid. Using the sniping programmes is free for your first few purchases and then for the pay-off, the purchase price of the points is next to nothing. P.S. the beauty of these programmes is that the seller doesn't know you're watching the item. You just copy the ebay number and paste it into the sniping programme and it does everything else for you without ever letting anyone know you've even looked at the item. I think a lot of sellers see who is watching the item and then have friends or associates start to artificially raise the price by starting to bid. Bidding early is a fatal mistake. In my early days of ebay I paid an unholy amount for Transwave - Helium because I started bidding several days early. I'm convinced that someone on the other end kept up the bidding to artificially raise the price to a level so ridiculous I'm ashamed to even admit what I paid. It was either that or someone else was just as reckless as I was and was determined to get the album no matter what the cost.
  24. I listen to both Tiesto and Armin. My main interest has shifted definitely into Goa and psy because I think it's more intricate and more interesting. However, nothing gives me an emotional trip like some good Eurotrance tracks. Those are the times I get lost in other worlds and get into the real "magic" of trance. Goa and psytrance doesn't have the same effect. The focus for me is more on the beauty of the music itself and how it's put together, not an emotional effect.
