  1. My last real concert I saw was Sisters of Mercy last year. I wanted to see them for about 10 years now, so I finally coughed up the 35€. Knowing their doubtfull live-rep I wasn't 100% sure about it, but it was fucking G.R.E.A.T. Funny atmosphere with all these old Gothic/New Wave ppl, some even approaching 50, getting lost in the music. I'd like to do more concerts but it's always so fucking expensive & they always end so early, that I zend up going somewhere else afterwards & spending a sh*t-load of cash. Last gig I skipped on finacial reasons was Pearl Jam, 2 months ago, still kicking myself for that one
  2. D-Nox Peter Dijital Anti Kasey Taylor (playing in Butan Club on my B-day!!!) James Monroe In no particular order, they àll wrecked me to pieces at one point in time at least once
  3. Got to know him through his RMX of Moby's "Go" & looking forward to investigate further

    HOW!?

I've always been insanely interested in music, whatever the genre was. Somehow I seem to stock all that info in my brain, so when other ppl know everything about cars or football, I seem to know a lot about music... But not only psy-trance ofcourse: metal-alternative-new wave-industrial-techno-house-d&b-chillout-ambient-dub-... If I discover some "sounds" I like, then I need to know everything about it About the partying (damn, that's 10yrs now ): it just became a way of life, I guess. Some people go to titty-bars, some collect post-stamps, others are body-builders or Jehova's Witnesses: well, I just collect music & enjoy dancing to it and I like meeting people who share those interests!
  5. Nice addition Trolsk! Anyone else got something even more shamefull than mine of Trolsk's ? It has to be real though, not something you made up yourself
  6. Just browing through the new releases on Psyshop, this one REALLY caught my eye. I love to write myself, everything from elaborate cd-reviews to small-talk on a forum like this one. Therefor I find it un-be-lie-va-ble that àny serious record company would mail a promotext like this around the world... Compiled by Holymen and Didrapest. The second of the Enigmatic World series! Enigmatic World Israel of the new sound that is famous this time from sacred place Israel of a trance, famous and fresh and then powerful is completion at last! The all new sound that all tracks were made to be able to hold it for this compilation! Track 1, Holymen with sample track from his coming album! Track 2, Melicia is high quality artist that track! Remix of Didrapest is a sample track for an album on his next time, too! Indra of track 4 is fresh new artist, too. He is the artist who is famous by heaping up a dance floor! Track 5 is an attention artist required, too! Track 6, Trauma-Revalotion of Indra remix! The attention artist that Miditec of track 7 releases an album in Japan! Miditec also half of the duo Beat hackers, Track 8 are recommended by the fresh sound and great! Voice Over of track 9 is satisfaction 5 of release than knowing Phonokol, A track is an artist in season releasing! The checks the cool and exciting compilation that gathered artists of season! The checks Enigmatic World Israel that recommended fresh new sound was jam-packed in this fall. It is attention required in jostling such as Sweden, Brazil from the next time! Spelling mistakes & typo's are one thing, but this is of a whole new level! Pretty sure 97% of you guys here would do a better job, I know I would
  7. Yeah X-mix was DA SHIT !! Still looking for another copy to replace my busted Kevin Saunderson... Now thàt's a dj-set, right Gaetan?
  8. I know you're not just looking for psy-chill so here's one of the best "chill-techno" albums ever made imho. & it's on Tresor! Savvas Ysatis - Highrise http://www.discogs.com/release/794
  9. Haven't heard the new stuff yet & I don't own "Amen", but somehow I can't imagine AP making really shitty music. Maybe different then before, but that's called evolution, no? They've been critisied over the years for sounding the same over&over&over again, so after 10yrs it would be kind of a shame if they still sounded like SFX, I guess. Going to check out the new album, but not sure if I will buy it. Even if it's full-on, I'm pretty sure it will be way better than 90% of the other full-on that's coming out. (YES, I've got a soft spot for Astral)
  10. Good to see you liked the cd Wannes safe purchase! The first 2 Haldoliums are a bit harder & darker IMO, check out some of the earlier Medium/Midijum releases or maybe some Free Form stuff ? Just make sure it's from Germany
  11. The God Machine - Scenes From The Second Storey http://www.discogs.com/release/489405 Finally, after +- 10yrs of looking for it !!! No trance, but very entrancing. For those of you who know the magnificent band "Sophia", this is where they came from. Imagine a rock-band that combines the sadness of Alice in Chains & the hypnotic riffs of Tool.
  12. Well, the party was this weekend & I was very honoured when Bim came to thank me personally for the flyer !! He even made me an offer couldn't refuse, but more on that later...
  13. Yep both parties were/are in Belgium. The reasons I always blur the location when I promote the flyer are: -sometimes the location or even the party is not supposed to be widely announced, or at least not yet at the time I finish the flyer -good locations are not easy to come by in Belgium & sometimes an organiser wants to be the first to use it for such a party. -in 2004-2005 we had kind of a witch-hunt on Psy-parties in Belgium & the national authorities would contact the venue-owner or the local authorities in an attempt to make them prohibit the party, they can't do this is they don't know where it is...
  14. Yes & it's just really great although not really MINDBLOWING & JAWDROPPING
  15. Thnx man Some ppl think the Snorkels-theme it's kind of childish, others really get into it. At least it's not just another Shiva/Ganesh/Alien/Space-clone, right?
  16. Yesyes, the Snorks they're back Some of you might remember the flyer with from last year's party with Jaïa? (Front: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/24210608/ back: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/24288617/ & Party-Pictures over here: http://www.psygarden.be/e107_plugins/galle...?g2_itemId=8469 ) Well, the same ppl are throwing their final party but they wanted to go out with a bang & booked Liquid Soul and Beauty & the Beat !! Once again, their main deco theme will be The Snorks, so there was no escaping them Ofcourse it was not easy to make a flyer for them, because we used nearly all The Snorks we could find for the previous one, but after several attempts they were very happy with this one: FRONT: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/40168810/ BACK: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/40169100/
  17. Just finished another great trade with my man Pat Technosomy from Downunder: In these days of so called "electro-house" I stocked up on some REAL electro! Various - Dave Clarke Presents X-Mix - Electro Boogie (Limited Edition) http://www.discogs.com/release/208456 Various - Depth Charge presents Electro Boogie - Shape Generator http://www.discogs.com/release/12629 & a nice psy-classic aswell: Union Jack - There Will Be No Armageddon http://www.discogs.com/release/42861 + he send me a CD-R of FREq's first album Alloys as a surprise!! Gotta love this man, no?
  18. In Belgium we had this infamous trilogy topping our charts: "James Brown is Dead" "James Brown is still alive" & "Who the f*ck is James Brown" & about Void: just how low can you go-o-o?
  19. I don't really see why so many ppl dislike "In The Mix" : it's got most of their best tunes on there, not àll rmx & it's mixed so you get 1 continuous flow. Works fine for me!
  20. Well sometimes acid's just perfect Tatsu. The less you do it, the better it feels (unfortunately imho)
  21. Goldie - Timeless http://www.discogs.com/release/43082 Only had it on tape but, since it was kind of my first introduction to d-n-b, it thought I should have it as an original...
  22. How could I forget that one? "& REMEMBER: you can turn your back on a person, but you can never turn your back on a drug!"
  23. Dino Psaras sampled "The Salton Sea" on his album "Lick It" Another great movie "Waking Life" has been sampled by everybody from FREq, Gaudium & Pixel. And thén there's ofcourse a zillion samples from The Matrix (SUN-project, Infected Mushroom, Blue Planet Corporation)
  24. I was all extatic about this yesterday but when I wanted to place my order around midnight, nearly all of the interesting stuff was gone ... Toooo bad!
