  1. Just finished reading The Immortality Key by Brian C. Muraresku. If you've heard about or read the book The Road To Elysius by Gordon Wasson, Albert Hoffman and Carl Ruck, you'll be interested in this book. The book is a bit too long, so if you're not deeply interested in the subject you can do with Joe Rogan interviewing Brian or Jordan B Peterson interviewing him.
  2. 2016 was an amazing year for retro live acts in Stockholm: X-dream live at Kraken. Small venue. Mostly die hard old school fans. Great vibe. Mind blown. (Etnica/Pleiadians played the same night but their "retro set" was all over the place, and they failed to create a psychedelic flow). Hallucinogen live at Annexet in Stockholm 2016. Amazing sound system. Excellent floor to dance on. Mind blown. Best live experience of all time. Shpongle played the same night, but something was wrong with the sound setup, it sounded very muffled. When Hallucinogen started playing the sound was incredibly crisp and detailed.
  3. This is an excellent release! No fillers, only strong psychedelic old school tracks. You need to get this.
  4. Wow, that teaser mix sounded excellent! Looking forward to the full release!
  5. I don't think that was it. It was four preview tracks from the upcoming album. But the above track is also really good!
  6. This is probably why his music is missing at Soundcloud: https://www.facebook.com/elysium94
  7. That's weird! It wasn't meant as a joke, the samples really did sound great, but it seems like his user has been removed:
  8. These samples are very promising: Could be album of the year.
  9. Some more collaborations for the AI: Son Kite vs Vibrasphere X-dream vs Vibrasphere Huxflux vs Koxbox Hi-score vs Subcouds Hallucinogen vs Prometheus (uptempo, not Younger Brother stuff)
  10. I've collected the best Astral Projection new school tunes: Something to keep you company while waiting for the album.
  11. Some favorites: Quirk - Machine Electrica & Fornax Chemica Ubar Tmar - True Shaolin Wooden Men - Supermindway
  12. Here's another one: Hallucinogen vs Infected Mushroom (old school)
  13. Many of you have already heard about the AI that generated new music inspired by Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix: https://consequence.net/2021/04/nirvana-drowned-in-the-sun-ai-song-google-software/ It actually sounds pretty good. Imagine if we were to throw psy trance at an AI and make it generate the albums of are dreams! What unreleased albums do you dream of? The most obvious are of course Hallucinogen 3 and the new Astral Projection album. What if we were to make it listen to two (or more) of our favorite acts and have it generate that collaboration we have always hoped for: Hallucinogen vs Process, and create that Beast album we all dreamt of Man With No Name vs Mindsphere Dimension 5 vs Mindsphere Ubar Tmar vs Orichalcum Quirk vs Rip van Hippy Have it analyze the music of Brainman and finally reveal who is behind that act! The possibilites are endless!!!
  14. Great share, thanks! The first minute is Erik Satie's Gnossienne No. 1.
  15. The new Shpongle EP, Carnival of Peculiarities, is the strongest Shpongle release since Are You Shpongled and Tales of the Inexpressible. Posford's previous album, Flux & contemplation, was a heavy and kind of moody introverted album (although it ended on a positive note), with some piano mixed up with the electronics. This release explores that toned-down and introverted sound further, but with the twist and turns you expect from Shpongle. The ambient intro track is a great and typical start for a Shpongle journey: The melody of title track is phenomenal: And the ending is pure Shpongle ecstasy, this time with influences from what sounds like Klezmer or balkan folk music, on second thought it might be machine elf folk music, none the less, it's another Shpongle masterpiece that mixes both piano and clarinet saxophone to great effect. The success of Tales of the Inexpressible saw Shpongle focus on a more extroverted sound. The CoP EP is more along the lines of Are You Shpongled, in the sense that it's more of an inner journey, and that should make you excited, because that sound needs to be further explored by Shpongle. Let's hope there's an upcoming album that continues to explore the themes in Carnival of Peculiarities. It could very well turn out to be the strongest Shpongle album in 20 years.
  16. Astral Projection - Solid Electronics - 1998 Astral Projection featuring Raja Ram - Dance is the Answer
  17. We need to talk more about Clementz! He's the best thing that has happened to neo-goa since Filteria and Mindsphere. Think of Shakta's Lepton Head, Transwave's Rezwalker, various Astral Projections tracks and some Etnica, now imagine it being executed with contemporary sound tech and you've got Clementz. I'm deeply impressed. Don't read my words, listen to his music:
  18. Trump is out, the Astral Projection album is still not released. They will probably release it soon, in time for the festival summer.
  19. Deep Jungle Walk has 17 987 039 streams at Spotify. It's all about playlist these days. If your track ends up on one of Spotify's curated playlists you will get a lot of streams.
  20. The Nystagmus album is very good! He has another act called Anahata. There's a very good psy-trance album called Conduktor and an equally good ambient/downtempo album called The Unmade Sound.
  21. I love topics like these, I finally get some use for my arkane goa trance knowledge. Here are some more excellent lesser known tracks:
  22. My "Sunshine Neo Goa"-playlist @ Spotify is all melodic neo goa tracks, enjoy!
  23. Mindsphere is the best melodic neo goa act out there. His best track is Floating in a Widescreen: Another great one is Gate of Sadness: His best album is Mental Triplex: Presence. Enjoy!
  24. The Happy Mistakes track is even better!
