Penta-horn please or Furious-Uncanny beats?

Wow do you steal ipods? Wish i were as kewl as you. Hmmm, i don't think i had a taste when i was a kid, i listened to some danish kids kasette tapes, and radiomusic.. When i was about 10-12 i started listening to punk rock(after playing tony hawks proskater) At that point i alo started listening to hiphop, remember my first album was Fugees-the score.. Then Dr. Dre, snoop, eminem, wutang and so on... WHen i was about 14 i met some friends who was into dance music, the old stuff like excaliber, 666, cs jay and all those rediculous artists...I also listened to Slipknot, Soulfly, SOAD and other rockbands in different subgenres.. That let me into Yahel(intelligent life was THE track that got me into electronic music for good) and some infeed musroom tracks , wich opened up a whole new world to me.. Me and my friends quickly discovered the effect one the brain, when listening to this kind of music while smoking joints, and from then on i pretty much haven't listened to anything ells Rock music makes me stressed now, the hard singig or growling has become annoying to me now.. I sometimes still listen to hiphop and oldies and i have some pop albums i still enjoy like Norah jones, but my hard is (and will always be wth electronic music. The feelings i can catch from electro music, the imagination that is used to listen to it, can't be compared with anything ells.. A pop song everybody hear the same lyrics, the same messages. In electronic music it's another world where you create it to be like you want it to be.. That makes electronc music(psy/progressive trancein particuar) SO much more than any other genre can ever be for me. But i still can enjoy and understand most music, classic, jazz, rock, r'n'b, soul, even most pop music.. But my heart is somewhere ells

Yeah, and don't do the same basic 100-8000 equalizing on all synths... Make some highcut in the instrument and cutoff in the eq to 300-400 hz and top it at 8000, then another one that use bandpass in the instrument, and lowcut in eq at 250hz-7000, another one that is deeper, cut it at 100-5000hz in eq... Try to experiment with the sound picture a little Not saying that my way is the right way, im no pro, but i have gotten much better results when doing eq like this... And remember to do it LAST, make the synth sound as good as possible without any eq or effects on first.. And another thing i didn't think about when i started making music on my computer, was that the notes shouldn't be the same in the different synths.. If the bassline is maybe around the note c1 or c2. Then the deep synth is around c2-c3, the saw is around c4 and the high/bright synths are c5 or higher... And if you need to put to of the same notes together for some reason, then do a panning so they come out of different speakers... It should "open" your music up a bit

Have you noticed there's different sounding kicks, f.e. a heavy kick that doesn't leave much space for the bassline to "kick" or highpitched, low pitched kicks? Not that it bothers me here, i like the heavy kick prometheis uses, but i can hear what abasio means.. It doesn't leave much space for any rythms in the sub/low frequencies..

Anybody knows about a program i can use to convert AVI/DivX files into audio?

I use it to make the rising sounds he wants, before a climax for example, don't understand if he means the type of effect that goes for several bars rising, or the one ehere you pitch the sound in the envelope, but vanguard can do both

Yeah, and they are on for like 20seconds when put together, don't understand the problem with them..

In My Opinion Hmm, not shure what you mean... But if it's what i think it is, just automate the pitch and cutoff on the synth, it will make the rising effect you want I usually make the automation first, then i change the synth to sound like i want it.. And then do the final automation afterwards. Thats how i do it, but im no pro

No one has ever told me otherwise... Maybe i've heard a comment or two about my bad sense of humour, but eventually you'll learn to deal with it On topic: Are you familiar with the Albino3 vsti? it can process some MAD effects! And you can find a big amount of presets/soundbanks for it, if you have trouble programming it yourself(IMO it's pretty complicated compared to other vst instruments)

Yeah, Best track on the album... At first it was psychic gibbon, but it fifn't grew like most of the other tracks did.. Or still does

+1 @ J cocco: I am a freak is a wonderfull track IMO, the totally awkward samples fits the atmospheres very good, it's a completely freaky and wierd track, so why leave the samples out??? I love it Seems like many of you guys are almost afraid of samples, afraid of a little cheese, but why? Ask a mainstream person if I AM A FREAK is cheesy? It's psychedelic, pounding and very unique (like the samples say )
