It's typical in here that people answer with dumb/negative/joking answers when its a question you can't answer.. THe question you asked can be compared to asking a painter how he creates hes masterpiece.. Hi dude, I can hear your working like i did once... Only paying attention to the "track writing" and not focusing on making each sound good, and make it sound good as a whole. I suggest you start of by watching the mixing secrets video(you can find it in one of the pinned topics here on this site) and learn about basic equalization. When i listen to your new track Cats and MICe, i kind of like what you wrote, nice story and funny sounds.. But it just whurls together, some of the sounds are to hard and fills to much in the sound picture.. Concentrate on making each synth sound good and keep up the nice writing One LuV!

If i would read the book and then listen to ISHQ i wouldn't connect it, but when i listened while reading it suided the book perfect, like background music in a movie or something

Sometimes i record the sounds that comes when i spank your sister Then try to stretch the noises and cut out the brief moments where she moans like a pig(because it won't sound good when you stretch it), and add some phaser or flanger to it to make it sound more alive

+1 I put on headphones if it's past 10 pm(to spare my nabours from my psychotic taste in music Otherwise it's the hi-fi that is my choice... You can hear all the sounds on the headphones, but it's like the space between the basstones and the rest gets too big compared to my lovely soundsystem.. Nothing beats when the whole room gets light up in sounds instead of the direct in-ear experience you get from headphones.

Exactly my problem.. But it's not enough for me that it's non-lyrical, it HAS to be (almost) total beatless, Like ISHQ. Even the small kickdrum from Solarfields-Leaving home distracted me.

It's a little different for me, reading needs MUCH more consentration than being on the internet, making music or making some kind of tasts.... For example, i was distracted by my dog chewing hes food, by the children playing in the yard outside, eventhough my windows are closed and i live at the 3rd floor. I get distracted by the silence! WHen im doing a task, being on WWW or making music or something, i can't even hear when my girlfriend speaks to me She can suddenly scream and then i notice how read her face is.. Apparently because i have been "ignoring" (NOT on purpose) for the last 10 minutes.. Or my dog can tear my pack of cigarettes all over the floor in little tiny peaces without im seeing it.
