  1. You poor saps. I can't not dance. Even if I am just standing the beat just gets to me, it goes through the body and makes everything move. I don't even have to think about it consciously, if the music is good my body will start dancing by itself without brain interfering. It's one of the most amazing feelings in life for me. I guess it's one of the last free areas that my ego doesn't have total control over. Stop caring about what some insecure snob might think about the way you move and let yourself go. Music+dancing is like no other energy release. I truly believe that you are missing out on a huge chunk of the experience.
  2. Exactly! Both albums are there on the shelve and will probably remain there indefinitely. There is nothing in either album to 'get' me. I have 'crappier' albums that I would listen to just because there is something in there even though production value is nowhere near. I regret buying quite a few CDs this year :-/

    Asura - LifeĀ²

I agree with you guys. My wife usually loves chill that I listen to but this one she asked me to turn off because it annoyed her. After about 10 listens I still don't get this album, oh well
  4. First track is absolutely magical, the rest is forgettable
  5. Freq - Avatar and this Liquid Soul vs. Freq - Liquid Frequencies (Liquid Soul Mix) and this Earsugar - New Era and this Visua - Spindrive (Gaudium Rmx) and this Infinity - Stratosphere and this Andromeda - Plazza del Trippy and this Behind Blue Eyes - Rumble in the Jungle (Zen Mechanics Rmx) and this Side A - Cansas City Shuffle and this Martin - What the 'bleep' do I know This is the best VA I heard all year, not one bad track.
  6. Yeah, you. The whole ear cleaning and so on, before even listening to the album.
  7. Holy crap, finally some people with some sense. I haven't had the urge to listen to it since the first few listens, just as I thought. Thread like these are good because you can tell who is all about the hype and who actually understand music.
  8. Why does it matter? Do YOU like it? If you go by the tastes in this forum you might end up listening to nothing at all and pretending that it's the best thing ever.

  10. Holy moly, this is an incredible VA. I try and not buy VAs, I never liked them but this one is just so good. Why can't I find it on saiko?
  11. I own - VA - 5 of Fahrenheits (missing 3rd), Oxycanta, Albedo Aes Dana - Memory Shell Solar Fields - Leaving Home and Extended CBL - World of Sleepers Asura - LifeĀ² (I do own Code Eternity but from a different label) I listened to Sync24 and I don't like it, from samples don't like new Solar Fields either so I guess I'll pass on the latest two or as usual just buy them because I'm crazy when it comes to collecting music.
  12. From samples it's really weak prog, hope it's just samples...
  13. What are you talking about? Shpongle was fresh, exciting and different from previous work, Entheogenic was a one listen CD while thinking that you've heard this before and done better. Still can't wait for new Entheogenic, their first is my favourite chill of all time.
  14. Sorry I really said it wrong, I just had no expectation for these CDs and thought that if I don't like them at least I didn't spend much money. That's what I really meant.
  15. Got CDs, thanks. Listened to Mainspring Motion, doubt I will ever listen to that CD again but I didn't expect much for 6$ Gonna listen to the other two CDs later tonight.
  16. I haven't listened to this album for a while and picked it up again about a week ago, it's amazing. I love it even more than when I got it. For me it's one of the best albums in my collection and once again proves how good Vibrasphere really is.
  17. You keep insinuating that somehow this music is 'above' psytrance listeners. I would dare to say that this album will pretty much only fly (with all the praise) with psy and I guess electronic people. Anyone whose music collection is not mainly psy might not be as amazed by the 'oozing' quality of this album. About 80% of my collection is not psy or electronic at all and while I agree that this is a pretty good album it is nothing special in the big world outside of psy. It is a pop album with very accessible music, with hits, with great hooks, with perfect production and so on. It is easy listening, it gets to you straight away, there is nothing to digest, there is nothing to really grow, it's just there for you on a platter. 2 discs would be awesome, I am sure there would be 1 full disc of great music in there
  18. I deleted tracks 3,5,7,8 and listened to that, it was GREAT! Now there is a proper flow and every track is very nice. I hear different influences here (U2, Coldplay, Shpongle, etc) and while I don't think it has the lasting potential of most of those bands I still quite like it. I would love to see this live, I think that's where the strength of this act will be.
  19. If you guys are interested in good headphones then head to http://www.head-fi.org/ so you don't end up with Bose like some people in this thread did. There is a ton of good info on audiophile quality phones and everything else that comes with it (amp, preamp, etc). You gotta realize that a 1k headphone will most likely sound much worse powered from a portable or soundcard than a 200$ pair powered using dedicated amp. There is a lot of science when it comes to sound and if you care about being informed head-fi is a great place to start. Sound is a vast field and there is a lot to learn. It is very interesting though and I am sure that most people on here care about it.
  20. I bought this, I like it. Yeah interludes are silly but the music is quite good.
