    BORING

I said it a 1000 times before and i will have to say it several times again. dig a little deeper then the local psyshop. There is plenty of good music out there, but you have to hunt it. And it's not easy to shoot err... CATCH good music. It hides, deep in the pitchblack shades of commercialism. It's like a tiny little spark of light. surrounded by boring, stereotypical....err.... BULLSHIT.???
  6. Johan Bley -?? (forgot the name of the track) "ghost"...something SUN project - spaceships & spacepeople
  7. I get payed, but often it's not very much. I still have all the bills of the materials I bought to paint. And if I count the loss i'm making at the moment than I have 400 euro invested from my own pocket. But now I work with this system: I ask the money of a party in advance and use it to make new backdrops. For 150 euro i can make 7 new paintings. It's better to have the money before the party: -7 new paintings -Can't waste money anymore -Still got payed when organiser lost money If there is one thing that adds bullshit to the joy, it's deffinatly the money. I just see a party as an oppurtunity to make new backdrops. And I don't pay the materials myself anymore, if an organisation wants new stuff they'll have to pay me in advance. And all organisations love to pay alot for new deco. But few of them want to pay 150 for old deco. So 150 euro for 7 new paintings+old stuff is my standard price, If someone wants more then they'll have to pay more. It's the cheapest I can get without loosing money myself. If i decorate a party without new stuff i just take the donations, cause often it are small parties organised by friends. Sometimes it takes a while until I get money for new materials so i can't resist to make new stuff. I've got several very good new paintings, they never saw a party & are waiting for an organiser that wants 7 new paintings for 150 euro. Then the new stuff (secretly allready painted) will be part of the 7 paintings. In this way I will never have loss again.
  8. want freaky drum & bass: check these guys: yakari gear manki Darth fader shamaniacs they have some pretty good (or weird ) Dnb. Best Dnb Dj imo is Andy C, but it's been 5 year since i listened to Dnb. I don't know what happened to that guy now. He always played on very decent speed, real crazy Dnb no funky shit with percussion, good mixing skillz. I've still got some mixtapes of him around here somewhere.... very good btw
  9. cubase SX. A friend told me that neundo also has a good engine but didn't tested it yet myself. But i never compose in cubase. Only render. I rewire fruity to cubase like you do with reason to fruity.
  10. Just take this test: open fruity, make track, render, close fruity open cubase, add fruity as vst. open fruitytrack you just made, rerender with cubase. close cubase And then just listen to the difference. If you want better sound you don't even need to change to cubase, all you need is the audio engine actually & you can still compose in fruity. Importing Fruity in cubase also gives you 20% extra CPU.
  11. chill man, I don't see anybody here hating Bush. Just see the humour in it. People just like to blame & make fun of powerfull people. It lights up their day: "Another 5 minutes of my life wasted to a foreign topic, waauw i'm such an aware person."
  12. LOl, nice one. Lookin forward to thins album. Neuromotor has always been one of my favs. THis is one of the best artist interviews i've read in my life he hit the nail there. I think it's time for another award!!! I award neuromotor : my personal hero of the moment-award
  13. We've had a report about a Lisa Simpson spotting a UFO. or something like that. Forgot which track. anybody knows? it's like a finger, pointing to the moon, don't contrentrate on the finger or you will miss all heavenly glory. younger brother- the finger?
  14. "Today, a young man on acid realised that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we're the imagination of ourselves." "Here's Tom with the weather."
  15. If you use the arpeggiator in fruity you can let them run automatically. Just open channel settings, click FUNC, turn Arpeggiator on & select a cord/scale. Then it's fun to experiment until you can let the comp make the melodies.
  16. Thanks people! This are the answers i needed! Some good leads for experiments here. I'm gonna dive into my psychedelic cave now! See you in 2 weeks my 2 latest tracks are there any good VST's to make persuccion?

  19. Yeah plastic is not really healty for my stomace. I shit like full on basslines.
  20. good point, i ate full on the whole week maybe i should eat something different anyway, artistic freedom for musicians(or labels) = bitch & complain freedom for buyers. what else do we have the internet for?
  21. http://www.antiscarp.tk/ Suomi's finnest!
  22. Are there people here who can quickly put the characteristics for the different styles next to each other? Cause all i hear & read today in tutorials is how to make boring basslines & smooth melodies. All tutorials that I could write myself with my eyes closed. But old skool or dark goa-trance for example. Which layers are used? What kind of FX is best to use? Do you really need a bassline? Cause my music sound much better & cleaner without, just a deep loud drumkick with some percussion sounds better then a bassline that pushes away the others sounds & takes all the space. &What about hats & snares? which FX should i use on them? I'm also making a new track. Started of real good, but i worked on it at night when i was really tired so now it got a complete mess. If someone wants to help me... just to correct it a bit. Made in fruity5 with sytrus-VST.
  23. No matter how many times this joke is used, it's still funny
  24. I think one reason why alot of psy-artist seem to have lost the magical touch is because of the software's button overload. It's like a box of crayons. Give someone a box of 15 colors & he will select 7 colors to make wonderfull balanced drawings with it. Give the same person a box of 150 colors & he will be unable to select good colors, so the work will be as ugly as hell. But after a long long time of practicing, he will also get to 7 colors. Actually then you have 143 useless objects. You see the same in musicmaking. Their is just too much & too complicated software to understand it all & develop a good clarity for the artist. If you get back to the days were every sound was made with 1 synth then you'll hear more insight in the sound. Insight = creativity. When there is no insight people will start to copy each other. That will even be their main goal! It's a general problem in electronica, i have a videorecorder at home linked to a dvd, linked to a surroud system but i never even managed to record anything with the videorecorder. I've got 4 manuals, 4 remotes & 150 buttons to press. ALL i want is to plug the recorder in the TV & press a record button! But there isn't even a record button! You need to program it every time! Technology used to make things more easy, but people always want more, more, more things we actually don't really need. This comfort fixation/obsession creates stress & lazyness.
  25. maybe we should launch a new genre full on = good full on full off = baaaad full on
