  1. Past hour
  2. You'd think that one of the most sought after albums, that finally got a re-release, in spectacular fashion with all these extra goodies, would have more than (let me count again) zero replies. I must admit, the timing of this release was not great for me personally, if it had come out 10 years earlier when I was young, single and blasting Goa through my speakers and annoying my neighbours, I would have been listening to it all the time. As it was, it came out while I was looking after a 3 year old and a wife with postpartum depression who did not like good music. So I barely listened to it. 7 years later I am getting back in to the forgotten albums and giving them more listens and this one is great. The original album is good and I am a big fan of the early stuff too. I'll give it more listens this week, when I get tired of the Pleiadians I.F.O. re-release 3CD set 😂
  3. This is actually one of my favourite Solar Fields' albums. One artist that has never lost it Favourite track is The Daylight Carrier but that is just the culmination of a fantastic album. I am surprised that it doesn't have more love here. 🤔
  4. Same, I heard some Goa at a house party, and just remember seeing the Order Odonata/Dragonfly logo and bought a CD with the same logo, it was this, Genetic - Trancemission had me instantly hooked and I've never looked back.
  5. Today
  6. I want to believe it's Radi, but it is just too on point for Radi 15 years ago, it's hard to believe that someone hasn't changed one bit in 15 years. Also, why would anyone go to so much effort?
  7. For me best goa trance compilation is VA-A Voyage Into Trance (mixed by Paul Oakenfold) (1995). Because my passion for goa trance started with this disc.
  8. Hey everyone! Just dropped a new preset pack for Serum 2 called Fractalis – made for Goa Trance and Psytrance producers. 🔹 120 presets (leads, bass, pads, FX, etc.) 🔹 120+ key-labeled MIDI files 🔹 Built-in CLIP patterns for quick inspiration Tested in real productions – works great for oldschool Goa, Full-On, Darkpsy and more. 👉 Check it out here: Fractalis – Serum 2 Presets Hope you find it useful! Cheers, JaraLuca
  9. Yesterday
  10. It's not him, last I heard he was living in a brothel on a steep mountain in Bulgaria somewhere
  11. Carbon Based Lifeforms never fail to impress and this album is one of my favourites from CBL, it came to me at a time where I was not expecting anything from them and suddenly I had an amazing album that was blowing me away. It's a very atmospheric journey through lush dreamscapes, nice pads, beats, rhythms and soundscapes. I have no idea how there has been zero comments to this review except that maybe everyone here sucks 😂
  12. I really liked this album. It's one of those releases where I don't understand people's comments of "it sounds dated" in a negative way. Yeah, it sounds dated, to an era of absolutely amazing music. What the hell are people complaining about with this "it sounds dated" complaint? Does Chopin sound dated? Of course his compositions sound like that era, is it an issue? No one cares. So why do people fixate on old electronica sounding like the era it was made in? For me that's a plus, not a negative.
  13. Angle Tears - Indian Ballad Seb Taylor is the best artist to follow on bandcamp. He releases fantastic stuff at a great price. Recently he's released a load of compilations. 50 odd tracks for next to nothing.
  14. This was released on my 35th birthday and while I have vague memories of this, and I know I own it because of this review....I still cannot find it anywhere in my collection. I feel this is a metaphor for my life at 35, I have strong but vague memories of things but I'll be damned if I can actually remember what happened (for context my daughter would have been just born 2 months after this release, at the same time I was getting demoted at work and taking a huge payout, just in time for my new family member)
  15. One of the last great Ultimate albums A really nice journey that unfolds so nicely with a quiet undistracted listen
  16. This release, for me, is symbolic of the direction Ultimate took, or the direction I took. It sounds good, I like it, but it doesn't grab me. All recently Ultimate releases are like this, either their style just got stale, or I lost the ability to really focus on enjoy it. I still listen to a lot of drone ambient that can grab me, so I feel it's the former, but I hope it's the latter so later, when life calms its tits a bit, I can sit and maybe fully appreciate this and other later Ultimate releases.
  17. Summer finally hit here. After a July of wonderful warm weather in the mid 30s, and having to endure people complain that it's "too hot" and ask them "what are you going to be like when it gets truly hot?" It's ramped up a fair bit now, pushing 40 in many places. I love summer, I can acclimatise, but gotta stay safe and stay hydrated.
  18. Over the years I find a few compilations stand out from the rest Flying Rhino Records Black Rhino Singularity First Flight Third Flight Dragonfly A Voyage in to trance Order Odonata 3 Twisted Unusual Suspects Dementertainment Forgot the label Destination Goa - The First Chapter
  19. You can get this for free on Bandcamp, or pay what you'd like https://anahatamusic.bandcamp.com/album/the-immaculate-perception I remember this being very good, worth a listen and worth buying.
  20. I go this recently too. It's a really good buy. Honestly Seb Taylor is one of the best artists to follow on Bandcamp. He really knows how to sell his stuff. It's all reasonably priced and often comes with mixes and DJ sets included. He has released a lot of these collections and I have gotten them all.
  21. Always loved Dog Days Bliss
  22. @Radish6404so what is the reason you didn't use your old account? Did you forget your password? Isn't their a password recovery system? I'm also curious what you chose your new account name to be Radish, why use a name other users used to mock you with?
  23. Isn't awesome discovering and old classics you never knew existed before?
  24. Bringing Joy to my life Amazing some of the things we remember, and things we just totally forget. I'm listening to Eat Static - Dead Planet now, I wrote a glowing review about it, and forgot all about it. Enjoying rediscovering it. A nice mix of Old Eat Static and full on!
  25. There is a surprising number of classic Goa albums I bet lots of us haven't heard before, just waiting to be (re)discovered. I love all the Trust in Trance albums, but this one is probably the culmination of the series. Recently listened to all 3 in a row. 10/10 would listen again.
  26. Yeah the thing about chores is no matter how many hours and days you spend on them, there will always be a load more waiting for you. The music is about the only saving grace that can get you through them.
  27. After a long streak of summer events and heat, I'm doing many chores at home - also ripping a bunch of albums I got as CD only and checking assorted vinyls which I haven't added to my bookkeeping yet.
