  2. Exactly, you dont need religion to feel these feelings. Religions have answers but arent the truth neccasary, just guidelines. Also something like christianity has been twisted throughout the ages to control humans. Psychedelics are a part of the human experience of finding answers to questions that we forgot for a reason.
  3. Today
  4. It is unfortunate that, in many people's understanding, someone who is religious has to follow a particular religious tradition and be labelled as such, e.g. a Christian. It is even more unfortunate that, especially in the West, it is a common misunderstanding that if you are not religious your only option is to embrace reductionist materialism, atheism, and scientism (the belief that science can explain everything) as a metaphysical explanation to the nature of reality. It is a false dilemma. Sadly, this adherence to science as the ultimate truth has deprived us of meaning in our life. So, why many indigenous cultures use natural psychedelics in their rituals? Because psychedelics, through the ego deflation, help you to have a mystical experience, to connect with the Other Self, the Cosmic Consciousness, the eternal spirit, call it what you like. And, to come full circle to the OP, much of psychedelic Goa trance has this special mystical feeling as well, that you can come closer to the ultimate reality. It is sad that many party-goers do not share these ideas; for them, dancing and doing psychedelics (and other drugs) is just recreational, purely hedonistic. And they keep living their consumerist, materialist lives, dead in spirit inside them. Not to mention organisers, DJs & artists who just do business as usual, even if they have to turn a blind eye on massive human rights violations; making some extra money and gaining more fame is what matters most .
  5. I believe one can say s/he is religious without being dogmatic, without subscribing to any organised religion. Mystics (like David Bohm who is mentioned in the video above) generally hold that a genuine religious experience, i.e. a mystical experience, is a direct experience with the divine/essence/pure spirit/eternal love etc. That is why they have always been anathema to the religious traditions they were part of; mysticism renders clergy, mediators to communication with the divine, unnecessary.

  11. Yeah sounds like you picked up similar ideas to me. We are made of patterns and we get to experience patterns around us which allow us to admire beauty and feel love. Like a fractal, those intricately beautiful patterns repeat countless times throughout space and time so that nothing lasts, but nothing is lost. Egocentricism makes people get preoccupied with the particular bits of material stuff they can get hold of, but once you step back and see that the essence of the things that you love, the things that you find beautiful, can exist many times over, in many different times and places, I believe it can make someone a less selfish person. Anyway, you set me off! Peace.
  12. Then you might be happy to know that I will also include The Discworld EP, his first ever release (never made it past the promo though). Vinyl RIP yes, but better than being lost to obscurity. https://www.discogs.com/artist/15854-Nervasystem?superFilter=Appearances
  13. Hell no, why ruin the sounds we fall in love with back in the days? 🤩🤩🤩
  14. They were expressing the 5th dimension, I'm sure! Knowingly or unknowingly. Sometimes we do things subconciously, before we become concious. I've also never been religious, at all. It's interesting how goatrance, has always had themes of spirituality scattered throughout - like right in front our faces. Be it samples from movies, or just the atmospheres the producers have created. For me, something happened at the start of the year, and I started to feel the energies that surround us. At that point I saw what goatrance really was for me - and probably for many others. It is our collective soul, expressed in specific patterns of vibrations. I believe it is a way to tap into the greater. It is love. Let's keep supporting those that express it for us. Be it verbally, mentally or monetarily. We who consume are as important as those who create. Let's keep reminding everyone to keep at it. For some reason I just had an urge to share this and I'm happy you guys seem to get it! 🖤
  15. You know, I was just listening to that album this evening and it is really on another level than most others. And thanks for finding the words to say something many of us have probably been thinking (I know I have) about the deeper significance of Goa trance. I would not call myself religious but the themes it touches certainly help me to feel more grateful and happy and a little closer to finding peace with my place in this incredible reality.
  16. Are the old tracks remastered?

  25. I could not have foreseen the importance of goatrance when I first started listening to it in 2007. Is there any other electronic genre that covers such a wide variety of topics or atmospheres? No, not really. (Well, maybe ambient). Whatever came after it, is just a fragmentation of truth. Fullon, forest, hitech and so forth - they're all fragments. We had everything neccesary already during the 90s - during the time I was completely oblivious to what the whole thing meant. Today a young man on acid... energy, atoms, fractals - we're a part of the cosmic. There is no greater truth. And it's such a cosmic joke that the original artists didn't even know what they were participating in - probably. We talk alien, we are alien. We're literally floating in space. Just listen to pleiadians, it'll all make sense. Embrace psytrance, we will ascend. The funniest part is, whatever I wrote above, I would've said "this guy is fucking crazy" before entering 2026. Stop reading the news, it'll all be ok. Let's keep doing what we do. This forum had a purpose, and still does. Our genre is very fucking important and always will be. And everyone who participated in it, is also important. Love you guys. This thread is not that important, just wanted to say my thanks. To everyone. Let's keep the spirit of goa alive.
