  2. I think the track Afrotrance - Spiritual Energy is a masterpiece. Nothing more, nothing less. And it’s one of the best floating goa trance tracks. It has an amazing build-up. The melody keeps changing in subtle ways (evolving). And if this is not considered a melodic track, then I don’t know what is. Just so you know, it’s a track with a long intro, and the melody starts at the third minute. You can find my comment on YouTube, I left a timestamp there.
  3. I did something that I usually do not do, I interrupted my own listening to listen to what you provided. You promised melodies, I followed this thinking it would be melodies but this was a very unmelodic track. I liked it, as I said before, I am more of a fan of the darker, more acidic side, but if this is your first example of "melodic trance" I don't think I can take you seriously.
  4. The difference between psytrance and goa trance is not at all about the presence or absence of melodies. There are plenty of goa trance tracks without a beautiful leading melody. I linked four playlists and the links were correct. I don’t know why the forum trimmed them down to a single track. I’m writing from my phone right now, it’s not convenient for me to edit it.
  5. I have a guy that is truly underperforming at work. He's always been super highly regarded but since I became his boss he's been really lazy, missing deadlines and just not doing what he needs to do. I have the dilemma of whether to demoted him or not. If I do, then I'll need to take over all of his work and I really don't want to do that for my sanity, but leaving him in that position is seriously damaging everything.

    Good TV Series? Any?

I've always been curious about Bones. I like David Boreanaz but I am not sure I can see him in any other role except Angel 😂 Peacemaker is a lot better than I was expecting and I don't know why but I never skip the intro like I do with every other show.
  7. Isn't all goa melodic? Isn't that what separates it from psytrance? I guess not, some goa is just hypnotic and not very melodic.. Well ok. You said four parts but you linked 4 videos, it seemed like you wanted to link 4 different playlists.
  8. I forgot that Shpongle - A New Way to Say Hooray was on this comp
  9. Yes please. Melodic Goa was hugely popular here. Personally I preferred the darker acid heavy stuff but I am sure there's tonnes of lurkers here lapping up the beautiful melodies on show
  10. Peacemaker is excellent! I've recently gotten into Bones. This show knows exactly what it is doing
  11. Hi there! Glad you clicked the title and ended up here. What you see is yet another “Top” list made by a random nobody on the internet 😉 This time, it’s all about Goa trance tracks with beautiful leading melodies. Two key words: beautiful and melodic. Important note: these are not playlists of the “best Goa tracks ever” — they are playlists of tracks with the best melodies. Big difference. Oldschool has the priority. I’ve heard very little new school (not really my cup of tea), but there are a few new school tracks included here and there. The playlists are made for home listening, not necessarily for burning the dancefloor — though that works too. Personally, I listen to them while walking my dog or at work. Ideally, I like tracks with just one strong leading melody — not melody after melody after melody. That way the track sticks in your head and stands out. Of course, there are exceptions, like Infected Mushroom – Dancing With Kadafi (though you won’t find it here; a few IM tracks were in my drafts, but I dropped them since they’re not really Goa). Each playlist has 200 tracks. Why 200? Because that’s the YouTube playlist limit, and it’s convenient for editing. I actually have enough material for at least 3 more playlists, but sorting takes time. Sometimes I find a good track, but if it doesn’t match the quality of the others, I (sadly) cut it out. It’s been a tough selection process. You can’t cover everything. There will always be amazing tracks I haven’t heard, or forgot, or that you love but I don’t. Making choices is hard. And don’t forget: this is just the selection of some random nobody from the internet Bonus: if anyone wants the full list in Excel — I’ve got it, happy to share. Below are the first four parts. More to come…

    Good TV Series? Any?

I have it saved in my "still watching" list so I can always come back to it when nothing else is on 😂 Currently watching Peacemaker with John Cena. Yeah, I know, but it's actually very watchable.
  17. Woohoo Yes, very glad to see something that is all text based 😂

  20. Psychaos - Future Rocks. Flying Rhino Records, October 1997. UK.
  21. A decent compilation. Use it for background music once in a while still 😁
  22. It's a personal art piece I imagine and like most art, some people will love it and others won't at all. If you want to make something popular it has to appeal to most people and it's hard to put your way out ideas in there.

  24. I mentioned this track further up in this thread. Best, trippiest shoegaze track and probably my favorite track of all outside of actual psy/Goa. Toni's voice and those layers of sound!
  25. I agree he has a lot of stronger material than Flux and Contemplation but I think a lot of people just don't get the references in that work. It is a musical representation of the COVID virus. I think the loopy music box like tune is supposed to be like a sinister analog of an ice cream truck, traveling around on its rounds all over the country, spreading the virus instead of tasty iced treats. Then all the spoken numbers obviously represent the exponential growth of the infections. That sort of abstract talky stuff was popular on some 70s psychedelic records as well.
  26. In hidden studios beneath Neo-Kyoto, Quantum Composers manipulate sound using black-hole synthesizers. Their music generates tangible energy fields that warp reality—illegal but worshipped in underground clubs. PSYCHASM - TARGETED INDIVIDUALS 126BPM-D#
  27. The private eye guy leaves soon. Then it's more space stuff with the main 3-person crew (along with some occasional new additions and a building of the larger outer worlds). But yeah, because of the show style/pacing, the characters are not the easiest or quickest to click with. Maybe tap out and try again in a few years if interested again. There have been some movies/shows I have not been into but then enjoyed at a very different time 😃 Cheers mate!
