  4. I can feel that. Dnb is for the soul also!
  5. <<Is there any other electronic genre that covers such a wide variety of topics or atmospheres?>> I've got a friend who is really into Jungle/DnB and he keeps trying to convince me that the jungle scene is similar to Goa. I disagree but he really wants me to understand it the way he does. lololol 😃

  8. Haven't posted in quite some time, but I have to agree this album should get more attention. As MrAnarchy said it is very melodic and acidic with a lot of fantastic goa layers. Similar towards the end? Sure, but still a banger. And yeah, Golden Ratio is ridiculously good.

  10. I hadn't yet, so thanks! Several of the other tracks from the original album are longer in the reissue, for example Beyond Control which is one of my faves.
  11. Has anyone noticed that Astral Flight by RA in the 2025 reissue is almost three times longer than the original 2000 version?
  12. Zen Mehanics 1st album was peak full-on. It basically lived in my CD player.
  13. Hello! I heard this song in this ad I saw: Does anyone know its name? Thanks in advance for your help! ^-^
  14. Earlier
  15. Two tracks: Icon (2009) and Eikon (2020) by RA. The first one is classic oldschool goa trance. The second is some kind of hybrid between psy-prog and new school goa. The track titles themselves kind of suggest that one is a remix of the other. However, because of the pumping psy-prog groove, the melodic similarity is not immediately obvious. But it is there — and the 2020 track is in fact a remix. Listen to the very beginning of the first track. Then listen to the second track from the start. Then play the first track from 01:46, and the second track from 06:05. RA — Icon (2009) RA — Eikon (2020)
  16. RA To Sirius reissue, CD 3, their unreleased material. Listening for the first time and really enjoying this!
  17. Sometimes only the best of the best is good enough
  18. Goa is eternal. Frequency for the soul.
  19. wow! good catch thats identical.. except ofc talamasca made the notes longer thus the melody slower and more impactful, but, notes are all the same.
  20. X I S – Masquerade (1997)
  21. Both tracks are in the goa trance style. But Sunstorm by Aeternum is more melodic. It even sounds like a remix of a track by Fractal Glider. Fractal Glider - Goa Len (Remix) (1999) Æturnum — Sunstorm (2000)
  22. Well I guess I figured this set dispels excess vata, enjoy.
  23. Exactly, you dont need religion to feel these feelings. Religions have answers but arent the truth neccasary, just guidelines. Also something like christianity has been twisted throughout the ages to control humans. Psychedelics are a part of the human experience of finding/searching answers to questions that we forgot for a reason. The set I'm making for the next party I host will be a trancendend experience. Chi-ad, Dimensons 5, Triquetra, Filteria, they all play their role. It's going to be epic! I like to think I'm the shaman that gives people experiences they need. I make my sets from the soul, everytime they carry a story, this time it's of ascension. Pathfinder, astral warrior, tribes of the moon, Tayatega... man this set will be insane.
  24. It is unfortunate that, in many people's understanding, someone who is religious has to follow a particular religious tradition and be labelled as such, e.g. a Christian. It is even more unfortunate that, especially in the West, it is a common misunderstanding that if you are not religious your only option is to embrace reductionist materialism, atheism, and scientism (the belief that science can explain everything) as a metaphysical explanation to the nature of reality. It is a false dilemma. Sadly, this adherence to science as the ultimate truth has deprived us of meaning in our life. So, why many indigenous cultures use natural psychedelics in their rituals? Because psychedelics, through the ego deflation, help you to have a mystical experience, to connect with the Other Self, the Cosmic Consciousness, the eternal spirit, call it what you like. And, to come full circle to the OP, much of psychedelic Goa trance has this special mystical feeling as well, that you can come closer to the ultimate reality. It is sad that many party-goers do not share these ideas; for them, dancing and doing psychedelics (and other drugs) is just recreational, purely hedonistic. And they keep living their consumerist, materialist lives, dead in spirit inside them. Not to mention organisers, DJs & artists who just do business as usual, even if they have to turn a blind eye on massive human rights violations; making some extra money and gaining more fame is what matters most .
  25. I believe one can say s/he is religious without being dogmatic, without subscribing to any organised religion. Mystics (like David Bohm who is mentioned in the video above) generally hold that a genuine religious experience, i.e. a mystical experience, is a direct experience with the divine/essence/pure spirit/eternal love etc. That is why they have always been anathema to the religious traditions they were part of; mysticism renders clergy, mediators to communication with the divine, unnecessary.
