  1. never liked koxbox, from the beginning there was always something missing, I prefer the earlier albums 1995 -1996.... although I notice that it is in fact good trance, thought well through...
  2. This is a masterpiece imo... The perfect example where different styles are mixed, crossover ! Hedonix achieved a combination of funky progressive bass with fullon kicks, A high level of psychedelic features and still has the effort to use some melody what reminds of goatrance when it comes to the choice of sound, and a bit more fullon style regarding the structure of the climaxes.... The atmosphere is absolute dark and that's what it all makes so interesting after a couple times listening... The motivated way of using the progressive effect on baselines keeps you through the entire release and reminds me sometimes of cosma... enjoy... Good album 8/10 reminds me a bit when panick - lab o matic in 2006 was released...
  3. here we go
  4. yes it is, and good quality too, thanx
  5. true...
  6. funk master flex combination of the best imo
  7. ok, when the new so called new morning fullon entered main streamed in 2002-2003 some started called it neo fullon, 2 years laters the name disappeared and now it's back containing totally different artist ? it was called neo - fullon, what's up with the neo stuff
  8. no idea, but you would like goa spirit 3 if this is your taste
  9. delicious album don't forget to check neelix
  10. curious, gonna check it , thanx for the review
  11. check out tantrance 10 disc 2 a fine combination of some of the best psy tech artist releasing, a good start imo...
  12. I like them all they all presented some very good albums in the past and now... so can't vote, I guess progressive, minimal, fullon get my main vote cause they released more good albums compared to dark for example...
  13. yes mom chill out man !! so no imput on the album itself ?? I repeat LAME but still thanx for the effort, how many characters do I own you ? I write reviews all the time... & was just suggesting this album like any other album deserved a minimum of detail... PLUR to the man behind the post (you GOTTA be kidding me ?????????) on topic: looking forward to his track "the eagle has landed" on the upcoming 'old is gold' compilation... more emo tinted, with more melodic breaks... love it
  14. I tend to imagine what you are saying, and it some way it's true, a slight disappointment is not what I am experiencing... The patterns are indeed not very complex, what won't be noticed on the dancefloor but for homelistening it's noticeable, then again suntrip had the advantage of bringing back the goatrance sound, not only suntrip off course , there are others too, the more they release, the more we expect, the more our level of criticism rises... after many listens, for homelistening = old is gold is absolutely perfect live acts/dancefloor = astral experience will work better then old is gold an artist has to produce taking this perspectives in account I guess (hope this is translated well)

Aquila Vs Chronos View catalog for Aquila Vs Chronos / Fuerza 7. Cutting Edge 8. De-Evolution 9. Down Under Aquila are Jonas Dryhoel & Thomas Van Hulle. Born and raised in a small town in the Ghent vicinity in Belgium. Due to sharing interests they soon found each other and in 2001 they set up the ‘Mental Gymnastics’ organisation. Organizing numerous psychedelic parties in Belgium enabled them to work their way into the Belgian psytrance scene. Their most infamous realizations include a legendary Astral Projection party. In the meantime Jonas (DJ Bonas) was testing out his mixing skillsand the two of them got interested in the production side of the music. Eager to learn more about these possibilities they took part in an electronic music production course organised by the SAE institute in Rotterdam, Holland. Many hours of home production and the acquiring of the right hard- and software followed. Early 2006 they met with the Dacru guys when they organized the Orientation Vol. 1 release party. The attention was startled for their music as well, leading to their participation in the next releases of the Orientation series and the joining of the Dacru Records label. With many more future releases at Dacru and various labels in the pipelines, their powerful sound is bound to leave it’s imprint in the scene. http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display...ase.asp?id=7891 http://www.wirikuta.at/web66/product_detai...owDetail=217818 review This is pure morning fullon style, Energy, Motivated baselines, dancefloor directed and an absolute must for those who like Morning fullon. Aquila already released some tracks on compilations but now presents their debut album with maximum force. Each and one of us already have heard this formula of psytrance. Nevertheless Aquila managed to create it's own concept. Strong baselines combined with a warm sound presented in many forms. Creating your own sound and concept is one thing, but optimize it at the highest level possible is a bigger task. I must say Aquila accomplished pretty good. The variations of baseline are always forthcoming. Creating patterns in melody and using them without the melody into te baseline keeps the mind busy and provides an intelligence way of producing. The first track is imo my favorite. The track Gain control contains a certainly melody that creates many expectations. You have to wait until track 4 when the release actual explodes and you can count on each track that delivers the satisfaction they announced in the first track. And they do ! I can't help the fact comparing some of their patterns with a track of Astrix & Highguy - Chaos. Their concept has the same warm, trancy influence. It will work perfectly on the dancefloor what is off course a main feature of morning fullon in general. Besides that the floating climaxes are more then welcome. It's not common for morning fullon artist, to use climaxes who are movable from the baseline. Off course technical they always are but Aquila manages to create a sort of traveling feeling what goatrance fan's who like morning fullon once & while will appreciate a lot (just like me). Long reviews are not my intention anymore. So ending with the fact that the mastering is well done by silicon sound which is a variable that influence but result is result. A good job done by Aquila for the detailed production through the entire release. Listening to Gain control on the dancefloor, speakers & headphones you will discover new sounds and variations. It senses your ear and sells the new morning fullon we are all pass through in 2009. Well done & curious for the next album keep up the good work, and for those where the summer is beginning or at it's peak, This album will fit the moment perfectly. If you are into morning fullon ! Although some traveling climaxes have a goatrance pattern which I appreciate a lot :-)) hope you enjoy it like I do... grtz koen :-))

  17. true, people had to wait for many years, the level of criticism lowers down...
  18. come on, for those who have been on the internet for a couple of years, lot's of test have been done, and the difference between a wav & 320 mp3 can be seen, but the human ear cannot tell the difference, don't forget because it says 320 mp3 that it is not always 320 mp3, lot's of people rip copied cd's or downloaded releases @ 192 and ripp them on 320kps, what is still 192kps, it's a bit strange imo, they tested it, I did also a test on this forum , 2 years ago, everything below 192 people noticed, but some did not even notice the difference between .flac & 192mp3 what is a huge difference, considering this discussion... mastering has thousand times more influence... some albums were good mastered, others were not & the influence of bitrate (considering > 192mp3 to .flac) is a variable not that high... no criticism, I understand the need to discuss and some releases will never be re-released and you can't find them on the internet anymore... well that's it, then it's impossible to get that album sorry
  19. I'm surprised to see that Daze of Our Lives got so many votes
  20. look who is taking he's just tripping that's all :kidding:
  21. Daze of Our Lives 100%
  22. gay alert :drama:
  23. thanx for the review jon to be honest, I expected more, The fact that his debut album would be more melodic compared to his previous free album, that I expected, but I was hoping for sometimes a more emo/subtle track, a bit slower what would make listening to the album more pleasant, this album is filled with dance floor tracks with a high quality, no doubt about it, but tracks like "traveling", "tribute to the sun" are missing imo, maybe his next album, I like it, very convincing album & an absolute must for goatrance lovers
