agree : ) names? thom brennan, any album, particulalry vibrant water i also really like liquid mind music, but it is more new age than ambient, but relaxing as possible. Highly recommended.

anything by Thom Brennan is unreal and brilliant, especially vibrant water album, i played it one day at 7pm and i felt asleep during 20 minutes, so useless to say it's extremely relaxing music, not psychedelic though.

yep and i wouldn't recommend acid core music, it certainly makes you drive faster and faster while the acidline becomes more and more high-pitched.

Polaris - Polaris (Neurobiotic records, 2004) 1. Regeneration 2. Aurora 3. Time Travel Remix 4. Moon Shot 5. Bluebell 6. Zion 7. Runner 8. 20.000 Feet 9. Leo Very fresh and clean album, no dirty sounds here. Happy full on psychedelic trance, well made, not very complex but i am fond of those groovy basslines. The production is very good in my opinion. Too bad the tracks sound too similar, more variation would have been good, but it's pretty enjoyable. The album sounds really trance, not technoish like some full on psytrance, even track 3-Time travel remix has a melody which can remind goa trance. Favourite tracks : 1-Regeneration, 2-Aurora, 5-Bluebell very nice melodic psytrance with nice rolling basslines, if you remember the Son kite's album Minilogue, the sounds used in Bluebell remind me the "Openfaced" track...memories... : ) 7-Runner is a very lively track too, always with this groovy bassline that the guy knows making perfectly! Last track Leo is also enjoyable. Cool album on the whole, "happy", not pretentious and not cheesy. I rate it 6/10 though because, of course, more variation would have been appreciated. But what he made, he made it well : )

i had this album it was a good one indeed but i mostly remember the first 3 tracks which was good melodic tunes. Shame on me anyway, i had to find! By the way this is what i call real progressive trance because there is a real progress in the tracks.

Toï doï - Psyring test (E-watt records, 2005) 01 - Intro - 1.10 02 - E-Tium - 6.56 03 - Age Age - 7.14 04 - Resine - 7.05 05 - Fusion Froide - 6.16 06 - Fonction Donde - 5.31 07 - Saturnday - 6.04 08 - Psyring Test - 7.05 09 - Send Gate - 8.23 10 - Teraflop - 3.39 11 - Amb 4 (Featuring Fleck) - 6.55 12 - No Name (Featuring Amo) - 1.08 We heard with "Sustentator" album that the french artist turns more and more techno, this 3rd album is a confirmation. The whole album is hard, very hard for some tracks, and it is something like psychedelic techno/trance with some classical elements. Intense music on the whole : 02 - E-Tium is a nice dark psytrance track, with a very haunting atmosphere and some small acidlines in the background. Tracks like 03 - Age Age and 06 - Fonction Donde are really techno oriented, listen to the kickdrum of Fonction donde! HARDTECHNO!! Fonction donde is really my kind of party music, far from being boring it is a very intense psy hard techno track, but why is it so short? It sounds unfinished...too bad. 05 - Fusion Froide is unique, it combines nice classical vocals and a really great atmosphere, amazing and innovative track, no doubt! I like 07 - Saturnday too which starts with a strange melody, and the whole track certainly sounds more psytrance than the previous ones, with classical music in it, but always with this great Toï doï style. 08 - Psyring Test track is awesome, twisted and entrancing, NICE and stunning melancholic melody at the end which makes a very different atmosphere compared with the beginning of the track! Perhaps my favourite track. 09 - Send Gate is a weird track actually, very varied, with a weird changing atmosphere like there are several tracks in it. There is something odd in it, and i certainly prefer the 1st part of the track. Certainly a CD to play loud, above all from track 2 to track 8, and very good music for party. Toï doï makes quality sound, no doubt. 7.5/10.

I only bought one CD this year, and it was the Jaia album Fiction, this will be in the top 10 best albums of 2005 in my opinion. And if you can, get Magnetrixx Wired too. Really worth buying.

certainly entertaining album and not monotonous, but cheesy indeed, and certainly not solid at all, boring after a few listens i guess. But i put my 3/5 : )
